To me personally the learning reawakened stuff I felt I simply forgot. I’m excited, moving forward to help share my wisdom and Jays to help others to grow confidently in the areas they choose when they are ready!
I would first like to express the gratitude I have for this course, but my journey started before I decided to make the leap.See I started listening to Jays podcast over a year ago, matter fact I only found him through another podcast. During this time my life had been in a downward spiral. And I got curious so then started listening to Jays podcast.I would listen to his guest particularly the Dr's my health was so bad, and I let bad habits control my daily life. I guess you could say I only lived to die and didn't care about anyone else or their feelings. I was one of those who thought everyone else was the problem.I started small and listened to some of the advice I would hear from the guest. Just from his podcast I had completely transformed my outer appearance. I felt better than ever but then that lead me to drinking more heavily because I felt young again.Even being in better health, I felt something was off, I truly felt I wouldn't be here much longer. That's when the certification school popped up in my feed. I was hesitant and took me several months before I joined.I waited because I guess I feared that I was maybe the problem. I finally just went in and fully devoted myself to course. I didn't come here to start a business; I came here to start my life!Through this course I found meaning within myself which in return has helped me to start loving others more affectively. This course helped me reflect on myself to see where my short comings were coming from. I'm FINALLY finding out who I truly am!I want to thank all my mentors throughout this journey every day you show up with a smile on your face, you made me feel comfortable, you helped me break chains that I was so attached to. I now know my purpose and how to use my past as a strength to help others who may have a similar path as mine. And I have fully taken control of my day because through this wonderful storm we call life I'm finally at peace!I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and I thank God that our paths have crossed!
I started this coaching program because I was seeking a new way to create healing for others. I felt lost in how I could use my talents to have a positive impact. After going through this program, I feel confident in my chosen path to create space for others to explore themselves and build the life of their dreams. When I enrolled in the Jay Shetty Life Coaching Certification school my life was in chaos. At 57, I was about to lose everything I knew and loved. One day a friend said to me I might be a good fit for life coaching. Then Jay Shetty’s school popped up in my feed. I didn’t hesitate. I knew what I would gain personally would be worth it. But it was so much more. It has completely transformed my life and helped me guide others as they transform theirs. And the connections I’ve made with my classmates have been real and heartfelt and true friendships. They have stood by me through the messiest parts of my healing and helped me celebrate my wins. The personal and professional transformation I have experienced over the last three years began with my decision to enroll in the Jay Shetty Certification School in the fall of 2023. For me, it marked the beginning of a new identity—one where I don’t just like helping people, I am truly good at it. I feel empowered and trust myself more than ever before.The learning, support, and guidance I received at JSCS were phenomenal. I encourage you to take full advantage of the program: attend every practice opportunity, welcome feedback as a chance to grow, and receive as much coaching as you can yourself. If you reach out to classmates you resonate with during practice calls, you may even find lifelong friends. I am deeply grateful for the people I met through this school.I also highly recommend working with a supervisor after graduation. Staying connected to the coaching community—especially through supervision—is what I believe has helped me continue coaching.That said, building your own business can be a slow and sometimes lonely journey, which makes community even more important. JSCS provides thorough and comprehensive coaching training; however, the business portion of the program felt quite condensed and moved very quickly, in my opinion. I understand the Jay Shetty team has since created a separate course focused specifically on the business side of coaching. I have not taken it yet, but I believe that completing both courses could prepare someone even more fully for the business of coaching.
The Jay Shetty Certification School journey encouraged me to combine the culmination of my professional experiences, identities and expertise with a deep personal transformational journey. I reconnected with my soul -- my spiritual and psychological roots, by going in with the community and programs. The JSC will allow me to work with emerging leaders who want to make a positive impact in their community but don't necessarily know how to translate their experience, find their voice, or navigate the system. I am more inspired than ever to build strong communities, one individual at a time through one-on-one coaching, group masterclasses and mini-retreats.
Being a student in JSCS has been a wonderful experience. The learning is self-paced, interactive, and genuinely relevant to the demands of a fast-paced world. It's not purely theoretical; it has practical components that allow me to put what I have learnt into practice. Though the primary goal of the certification is to prepare me to be a coach, I felt personal improvement. I started to see myself in a more altruistic light. I started thinking about and perceiving my emotions better. Enrolling in the Jay Shetty Certification School in 2020, in the beginning of COVID, changed my life, and that is such an understatement. At the time, I signed up to do the inner work for myself, never fully knowing what life coaching was all about. What I discovered is that while you come to become a coach, you also get to be the practice client, learning, growing, and transforming along the way.The program stretched me in ways I never imagined. When I enrolled in JSCS, I was primarily eager to learn how to help others. What I never expected was how profoundly I would actually be helped myself.This program gave me the confidence to sit across from any client, knowing I can navigate whatever they bring to me. The curriculum was centered around learning the foundations and principles of coaching using the ABC framework, and also taught me how to effectively harness my compassion, empathy and ability hold space for people, without losing myself in the process (if you're an empath you know what I mean).The coolest part... I was so focused on becoming a coach that I never considered I would benefit from being coached myself. But experiencing coaching from multiple people with different niches and specialties, was a gift I wasn't expecting. It gave me the ability to reflect on myself in ways I never had before, and that personal transformation was honestly the biggest benefit of this entire process.This was a super special chapter of my life, and I'm incredibly grateful to have shared it with an amazing group of people (staff and students).
