Financial losses due to neglect of the financial professional.ional
After I opened my annuity account at the advice of their charming financial advisor CJ, he continuously neglected me, despite of his assurances that he will periodically contact me for advice and assistance. In the meantime, the account was constantly diminishing its principle under a rider charges burden. Despite of repeated calls for assistance my messages remained unanswered. Only two years later he showed up, then when I asked him for the possibility to start the monthly payments at that time, without advising me to wait for another year for the fund to mature, he started the diminished monthly lifetime payments, not knowing at that time of the consequences for that move. Thus, with a diminished benefit and observing how the principal was constantly shrinking, in desperation I had to transfer the account to another one without rider charges, being assisted by another financial advisor and thus losing thousands of dollars to save the leftover of my lifetime retirement investment. Despite of the high rating of the company, this example highlights the lost peace of mind along with the negative complications when an average investor is not properly assisted to his understanding level and also neglected by his financial professional after he entered in the game.

Wish I would have read all these bad reviews before I trusted JD Mellberg Financial. In May 2022 I was led to believe that I had purchased an Annuity from Nassau by JD Mellberg employee Clifton Roberts that would pay me monthly for the rest of my life. I moved my retirement 401 K of $418,983. Monthly payments started in September 2022 and I retired in Jan 2023. After 21 payments in May 2024, I am told that the annuity is in the red and has to be cancelled or delayed a year or buy another one but you have only $299,000 left.

I have tried to talk to anybody there and set appointments up with Thomas Greenwell, and Kelly Valasquez, Cedric Keister. and none of them made the appointment, they all left me waiting by the phone. Trying to find out where the $250,000 I invested with them is at. These people can't keep an appointment how can they manage money? Never will I have any dealings with JD Mellberg AGAIN.

In 2014 I responded to JD Mellberg and was contacted by a salesman named Jeff Stupar. He convinced me my current annuity was wrong and he could sell me a better-performing one. He said he was a church pastor and I trusted him. After three years of payouts from the five-year deferred annuity, which he promised would rachet-up in good markets did not go up one penny and I am in tax hell because he mixed $200k in unqualified cash with my 401k.

Totally disappointed
I was referred here by a coworker. I had a feeling that my investment would be secure and worth the risk. A couple months down the line and I realized that my investment was not accruing any interest. My inquiries with the broker did not lead to any meaningful response that would get me back my money. I do not recommend.
