Our server Brandon at the Market Mall Keg.

Brandon our server at the Market mall provided exceptional service, in which we enjoyed our usual wonderful dishes - but we were pleasantly surprised when Brandon preauthorize 80% of an odd balance on a gift card - to use it completely, then effortlessly completed our final billing. We enjoyed the professional & prompt service right from the front desk to our table!

Have purchased The Keg Prime Rib burgers for years, ever scince Saveon Foods started selling them. Now YOU have changed not only the pack size but have changed the whole recipe.WOW!!!! I have to say, i've never been so disappointed in my life. They are full of GREASE and shrink up to nothing. 100% garbage and i will never buy them again. Cannot believe you made the best burger on the market the WORST. WOW!!!

After 42 years of attending the keg

After 42 years of attending the keg, you(whoever owns it) decided to remove whipped cream from both the dessert, Billy miner, AND my Spanish coffee. Next it’ll be margarine and fake crab. Wake-up, or kill the business. 3 strikes with me and that was just one visit. Remember WHY we go to the keg. For quality. Make the pie smaller but KEEP whipping cream and a cherry. Or simply LOSE more customers,Bye.

Worst experience ever

My son and daughter in law took me out to the Sudbury location for both my birthday and mother's day. The staff was fine, however the food was absolutely disgusting. The meat was not cooked as directed and came to our plates raw. Fake butter, horrible bread, dried up mashed potatoes, menu with little options. Took it home and even our four dogs would not eat it. Out of a party of five, three of us in one household ended up violently ill, even at the restaurant, so there is no question it was the food. I'm still waiting this morning to see how my son and wife are doing. Going to McDonald's would have been a better experience.

The only good thing at this restaurant…

The only good thing at this restaurant anymore is the atmosphere, and drinks. I tried ribs, and seafood sides. The ribs were microwaved at best, tough, and the seafood was fishy. Really Swiss Chalet are fall off the bone better. Normally I have lobster but wanted a smaller meal. The spicy fried cauliflower was tasty. However, All of the sauces and butter are not real, and have been replaced with cheaper versions. Béarnaise sauce was awful. The waitress needs to be trained not to take my drink away before asking me, and to kindly keep your arms out of our faces. She did not communicate to us when clearing. Won’t be back to this location soon.

Delicious and fun.…

We went to the Keg for our grandaughters birthday, the food and drinks were very good. Our waiter Jerod never messed up on our meals, and he was funny and very good at what he does. Everyone had a great time. Thank you

Service was not what it should be for an expensive meal.

Went to the Coquitlam Keg with a group of friends for a birthday dinner. The food was mostly okay with exception of the blackened chicken dish. It had WAY too much blackened spice on it so drowned out any flavour of the chicken. The person who ordered it ended up scraping as much spice off as they could. The steaks and prime rib dishes were good. The reason for the low score was the service. We had a young fellow who was nice enough but not attentive to the table throughout the entire meal. There were two people who opted to stick with water with their dinner. The waiter popped by once, well into the meal, stating he would bring the water jug by but he never did. The two folks went without anything to drink through most of their meal and had to ask for a water refill which should never happen. A couple folks also asked for coffee to go with the birthday cake which never arrived either, very frustrating. We have another birthday celebration coming up in March but have decided to look for another place to celebrate. When you pay as mush as the Keg wants for the meals and get a substandard chicken dish and poor service, it's disappointing.

Great Restaurant

I’ve been a loyal customer of The Keg for years, and I continue to be thoroughly impressed by the consistently exceptional experience they offer. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a valued guest. The ambiance is always perfect, whether you're there for a casual dinner or a special occasion. What truly sets The Keg apart is their commitment to quality. The steaks are always cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Their signature seasoning and sides, like the garlic mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables, elevate every meal to another level. The attention to detail is always evident, and the service is top-notch. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring you have everything you need while allowing you to enjoy your meal at your own pace.In addition to the outstanding food, The Keg's cocktail and wine selection is always on point, with an array of options to complement your meal. And the dessert? Don’t even get me started—it's the perfect ending to every meal, every time.Over the years, I’ve enjoyed countless memorable meals with family and friends at The Keg, and it never disappoints. Their consistency, quality, and customer care are unparalleled, which is why I continue to be a loyal and happy customer. If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, impeccable service, and a fantastic atmosphere, The Keg is always my go-to choice.

Am homebound and tried take out from…

Am homebound and tried take out from Keg. It was a bit of caution, being take out, but arrived just perfect. Meat was definitely med rare, as ordered - Lobster, perfect-juicy, sweet. Potatoes, Rice--all perfect. Would do it again. Jessica, who took the order this am, got everything perfect and she couldn't have been nicer, accommodating.

We are always happy with our meals and…

We are always happy with our meals and service at Keg establishments all over the country. Its our Go to if we have not been recommended a different great local establishment. If something is not right, they always make it right. I love their mini deserts, which is exactly how much desert you need after a big meal. Keep up the great work, as I feel since Covid so many places standards have fallen, but not the KEG!

Terrible … beware!!!

Terrible … food overcooked, but did not complain except when host came at just under the 2 hr mark and told us that we needed to leave since people were waiting for our table. I asked if I could finish my wine and he said “not really”. Are u kidding me? Terrible, stay away & support other restaurants. We will never return!

50 plus bucks for the worst

50 plus bucks for the worst, toughest steak I have ever had! The South Pointe location in Calgary was the site of my misfortune. I couldn't chew it. Food prices are ridiculous, quality is poor, location is very noisy.

THE KEG IN VAUGHAN WAS AWFUL WE WENT ON…

THE KEG IN VAUGHAN WAS AWFUL WE WENT ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AND I UNDERSTAND THEY WERE BUSY.ONE OF THE GUESTS DIDN'T GET HER SALAD, AND MY STEAK WHICH I ORDERED WELL DONE CAME VERY UNDERCOOKED. ONE OF THE KID'S MEALS HAD DRESSING IN THE SALAD WHEN WE ASKED FOR NO DRESSING. WE HAD TO FLAG DOWN A WAITER AND ASK FOR BREAD , NO ONE CAME TO REFILL OUR POP OR REFILL THE WATER. AT THE END THE WAITER CAME TO CLEAN THE TABLE THE KIDS SALAD WAS UNTOUCHED HE ASKED, CAN I TAKE IT? WE SAID SHE COULD EAT IT AS IT HAD DRESSING, HE JUST REMOVED IT WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING. I ASKED FOR A BOX TO GO TO TAKE MY STEAK HOME TO COOK. NO ONE CAME BY TO ASK HOW THE MEAL WAS OR IF EVERYTHING WAS OKAY. I WROTE TO THEM AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD SEND ME AN EMAIL, THAT WAS 3 WEEKS OR SO AGO. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WON'T BE BACK.I ALWAYS WRITE GOOD REVIEWS BUT THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE.

First Post Covid Visit. Will not be Back

The Keg was my goto pre covid. Many very happy visits, many very successful meals, many happy clients. I wanted to treat a long time associate. What a disappointment. Place was 80% full, no lineup at 18:30, this should have been my warning clue. While service was good the menu was spartan. The food pedestrian. I've had better steak on a bun from the occasional Canadian Tire Food Truck. The classics were there but little variety otherwise. Wine was charged with a 350% markup, hey Keg 200% is reasonable. Appetizers and deserts were just an additional pound of flesh. Well I have donated my last pound. I cannot afford to return to this level of mediocre meal, more importantly the next time I want to spend $100 for dinner per seat I will support a local eatery with good food. Bye Keg, Sadly pre covid memories will have to do.

I hadn’t been to the Keg since before my father died ten years ago and honestly I wish we had gone somewhere else

I hadn’t been to the Keg since before my father died ten years ago. We ended up going to the Keg at Heartland Mississauga. Today I was helping someone shop as a psw and we decided to go somewhere to eat. We just stopped and went into the Keg. I didn’t even realize what restaurant it was until we were inside. The person I was with had limited mobility and getting them to leave and go somewhere else due to the memory of my late father was asking too much, so despite the painful memories I decided to just stay. I saw they didn’t have the peppercorn steak anymore, so I ordered an 8 ounce steak. I don’t like to leave hungry, but it seems I was going to anyway, for I took a bite then two and realized my steak only had like 3 bites left. I hadn’t noticed at first because I actually thought the rest of the steak was under my fries. I mentioned it to my company and he pointed out that his fully loaded baked potato barely had anything on it. There were so few green onions on it that it looked like they had used a salt shaker to put the onions on. So, when I got the waiter’s attention i returned the steak asked for extra toppings for his baked potato. The waiter had no problem and brought us toppings for his potato and took the steak away. Not thinking anything of it we continued talking. I just figured that they would bring me a new steak, but the manager came up and very aggressively told me in a very snooty tone that it was an 8 ounce and not a 6. That it looses a few ounces when it’s cooked. I don’t think she understands what a small steak looks like. She didn’t ask why i thought the steak was too small or anything just came up and right off called me a liar. I almost said I don’t even want the steak. Memory of my father made me unable to argue. I just asked for it to go. Also, in my to-go bag, there was still the same dusting of onions in the container for my potatoes. Very bad memories compared to the good ones I used to have at the Keg. I had even ordered a meal to go to eat tomorrow. So if I was ordering two meals to go why would I try to stiff them on two bites of steak. But how could i argue. I had bitten out of the steak. So i had no proof it was the smallest steak I’d ever been served. And very thin. The keg is very cheap and aggressive, and frugal. Considering the price of things and that going out is a luxury now a days, if that manager is causing me such a bad memory she should be fired and they should hire someone humane.

Great service no matter where we are seated!

We were sitting in the bar as the restaurant was full and we had no reservations. Our server was Brie, she was knowledgeable concerning our wine choices with our meal, one white was a bit woody and so we ordered another, great help. Our food was served just as ordered, delicious. She was attentive and joyful. We shall ask for her on our next visit.

I made a reservation for 6:00 p.m

I made a reservation for 6:00 p.m. May 19, 2022. When we arrived, they said that I had cancelled my reservation at 3:15 p.m. that afternoon. I showed them my confirmation e-mail; from my phone. Too bad, they still wanted me to wait over an hour. I am diabetic - can't be doing that. This is NOT the first time they have pulled that trick - it won't happen again. They pretty much ignored me; even when I showed proof that I had made a reservation. Won't ever go back due to their lack of respect.
