love the annual plan
I attended an online USPAP class today, and the instructor stated that we would not receive credit unless we downloaded the USPAP book from The Appraisal Foundation’s website. When I attempted to do so, the discount code provided by McKissock did not work, so I contacted their customer support for assistance. Support informed me that the book was not required to complete the course, which directly contradicted what the instructor had just told us.While I was messaging the instructor for clarification, the class was abruptly cancelled, and the live feed was shut down. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional on McKissock’s part.
Absolute Worst Continuing Education ExperienceThis was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional CE experiences I’ve had.The course initially linked us to the wrong books for download. Neither the instructor nor the moderator knew how to resolve the issue. There appeared to be no troubleshooting process in place and no clear understanding of how to correct the problem. After waiting while they attempted to figure it out, I personally called the Appraisal Institute. The representative there immediately provided the correct link and access code to download the required materials. Once the instructor confirmed we could do that, I shared the correct information with the class and with the staff member who had been assisting me. Several participants were finally able to access the books because of this.Despite the issue being resolved and multiple attendees successfully downloading the materials, the class was abruptly canceled and we were told to “just take it online” if we needed credit that day. That response was dismissive and unacceptable. Many of us waited over a month to take this live course. I specifically registered for the moderated live format due to a learning disability — I need to hear the material presented and interact with an instructor to fully grasp the content. A self-paced online version is not an equivalent experience for me.Canceling the class after attendees solved the issue themselves — without acknowledging the time already invested — reflects a lack of professionalism and accountability. The technical issue was not caused by participants, yet we bore the consequences.I would strongly encourage improvements in moderator training, technical preparedness, and participant support before offering this course again.
I do not like the module format. Not able to go back and review information in each video rather have to go back and watch/listen to the whole thing and to not like that you cannot go at your own reading pace and some people learn better by reading the information rather than listening.
OMG! Finally a REAL USPAP class! Made me think…not just a fair housing lecture where I had to answer the way they wanted me to answer just to get through the class! Congrats on designing and offering a USPAP class with real challenges and real learning! I was impressed!
vert good update
It was wonderful to go at my own pace and take time to read and review questions.
Having terrible time navigating the USPAP class. All other classes worked well and are completed. I can not get any help after several request.I have gone through the first chapter so many time I could have completed the course, but it does not let me get to the summary it remains locked. This is the only class I need to finish required CE. Very disappointed i have always used McKissock in past withour problem.
I still see I have not done anything? richard Rockwood
this is bs-where the hell do I go to get the stupid euspap book that is now "required". My time is my money-having to navigate crap to take this USPAP course is baloney--
great class
I am having trouble with every course and can't find a number to call
McKissock's new Dashboard and student tracking system is excellent. I can see how many hours I've taken and how many I need for renewal right on the Dashboard instead of going to my State's REA website and having to figure it out manually. Very convenient.
Easy to complete
I really enjoy the variety of courses for Appraisal CE
Contact was knowledgeable and thorough, very helpful
Class expiration dates. Horrid. When working full time and trying to complete required education 6 months isn't enough time. Or - no expiration dates at all! If I have already paid for a class I should have 24/7 access for as long as needed. Expiration dates are a money grab.
Mckissock Learning has always done a good job with these courses. My understanding is this course came from the Appraisal Foundation and explains why it was so different from previous courses. This course no longer allows you to pause in the middle of a chapter without making you start the whole chapter over after 60 seconds. Very inconvenient if you have to take an important call, bathroom break, or have a family emergency. The course is a little glitchy as well and not all that clear as to how to move through the course in some spots. Chapter 6 also has a section out of view that is hard to find and you can’t move forward unless you figure out where to find the information. Glad I got through the course but the course needs work. Bring back the save function so you can step away and then come back without having to start over!
Amazing classes! Easy take CE
