everything was delivered on time

I was very nervous about my move, especially since it was a long distance move, but this company went above and beyond my expectations. They were very organized, careful with my things, and had great communication with me throughout the process. Nothing was damaged, and everything was delivered on time. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone!

Four flights of stairs

Four flights of stairs. No elevator. I am twenty three and in decent shape, but I did not want to carry my dresser up all those steps. I called Menards Moving on a Wednesday. They booked me a crew for Friday morning. Two guys ran those stairs like it was nothing. I sat on the stoop and drank coffee. Best money I ever spent.

Scammer bowl.

Scammer bowl.. Scammer bowl... was trying to go to the next question but i had to leave a star i guess, wasn't going to. sad smmfh, im so pissed, really want the company to drop the real location, how i feel! I paid, they took, i lost, wtf? Im not even at a lost for words have a lot to say, past unprofessional, feels like they rented a truck and they got paid to rob me fcuk outta here, & kept trying to add stealing fees, you serious! After everything is setup for the move charging me to take my things out of my storage to put in the truck crazy, I'm moving across the country, i have smallest storage possible when we're my things weighed? 2400lbs, isn't that a ton in weight? i have no furniture, 10-11 boxes at most, 5-6 suitcases, all clothes, a mirror covered only with a blanket, whatever tho, had a 5X5 storage it took them no longer than 30 mins to load truck, check it, 10-15 mins we argued about charging me a walking fee from the storage to the truck picture that, who does that, Cali to southeast USA! I'm dumbfounded rite now can't make this up. After they left the storage 2 hours later wanted to meet up I'm at my hotel now i guess to sign release papers for my stuff, didn't sign, gave them another $610 payment, wow, finally left guess to take my things, picked up on the 6th said would take nine days ok fine, contacted me on 23rd, i thought it was over thought they got me, wait! Another fee or payment, stealing fee said i owed another $610, plus $400 van fee to switch my things from a sixteen wheel truck to be able to come in my complex, you serious? It left the west coast in u-haul size truck, Not even funny part, still don't have my stuff, another stealing fee! For them holding my things until another payment is made, here is a kicker, said they would auction my stuff away, laughable, it's only my clothes no furniture, pictures & paper work, lot of underware, lot of socks, lot of sweaters & coats, oh yeah my designer cups, oh forgot gave them some of my stuff in Cali things I didn't want or need anymore, if i knew this was going to happen, i wouldn't of gave them anything, just let them rob me for that too. And they put that in a sixteen wheel truck! feel like I've been on a punkd episode that was real. Everybody at that company, whatever you want to call them is in on it, upper management, customer service reps if that's who they are, movers, i mean stealers. Got lucky i paid 2 payments with a card, so i guess im only out the $610 i gave them in cash when they came by my room with the discharge papers for my things, oh yeah I'm out my stuff too. scam ball! At its finest, great scam team! Better than a fake call center, WoW! it's not over most def it's not over forget the old clothes i want my SCAMMER lick back, have to laugh about this but I'm really upset about my pictures & my paper work that I'll probably never see again, can always get clothes back, but the things i can't and planned on having forever, that hurts, Damn near crying writing this, but i learned something! Check every review and social media, dealing with a business that offers a service, sorry it's so long but had to come out. don't know how these guys are still in business with a half of million bad reviews crazy! I'm in the wrong business, def scam hall of fame material, best scam of the year, best marketing scam off the year, & best scam MVP of the year... real talk why would i travel across the country back & forth to play games with you about my stuff, i traveled across the country almost 2,400 2,500 miles so i can open my storage & pay you to take my stuff, I was sick and all, never again, true scammers to the heart. Well until the next scam i guess... just true actual factual information.

My dad moved from CA to NY

My dad moved from CA to NY. He is eighty two and does not use the internet. I handled the whole move for him. I called Mark and gave him the list of furniture my dad wanted to keep. He coordinated everything with the carrier and called me when the truck was on the way. My dad said the movers were respectful and careful with his things. It made a hard situation much easier.

I live on the third floor of an old…

I live on the third floor of an old building, and the staircase is really narrow. I bought a new sleeper sofa, and the store would not deliver it upstairs. I called Joseph and explained the problem. He said he would find movers who are used to tight spaces. The crew he booked took the legs off the couch and tilted it through the turn. They did not scratch the walls either. I was impressed.

My wife and I moved from NJ to MD for…

My wife and I moved from NJ to MD for her new job. We had a three-bedroom house and two cars to deal with. I did not want to rent a truck and drive it myself. I called Menards Moving and told them what we needed. They found a carrier that had good reviews and reasonable rates. Our stuff arrived on time, and nothing was missing.

I used Menards Moving and Storage to…

I used Menards Moving and Storage to move this past summer. The miss quoted on packing services and moving services. I was up charged $12,000 the day of the move. I was caught in a terrible situation in which I needed to get out of the house and didn’t have any other recourse. They then promised me that my balance due when they dropped off my belongings would be one price, but then threatened to charge me an additional $5000, because the movers had rented a truck that was too large so that they could carry another customers move and save money. When my items did get to the house many items were missing or broken. Then didn’t properly catalog my boxes. Do not ever use their service. I was told that I would be refunded some money and they lied to me and said that the paid me or transfer me to different person with no resolution. It was a nightmare.

Finally a Good Moving Experience

After a few bad moves in the past, this was a huge relief. Everything was organized, professional, and stress-free. My items arrived safely, and the pricing was fair and honest.

I experience the most of my stress…

I experience the most of my stress prior to moving day rather than on it. For a long-distance vacation, I wanted someone to arrange for movers and maintain order. The service took control and set up the job when dates and inventory were shared. I didn't stay up late checking availability or phoning businesses. The movers were aware of the extent of the labor when they arrived. That in and of itself simplified the procedure and helped me stay focused on my other obligations. From the beginning, it seemed stable and remained consistent throughout.

If I could give them 0 stars I would

If I could give them 0 stars I would! You will regret going here. They shine until they take your deposit, then they disrespect you and even make fun of you, and you can’t do anything because deposit as we know is non-refundable. From their horrible customer service, and completely way off estimates…. Save yourself the nightmare. Pay a little more with another company and avoid this company. I don’t want people to go through what I did🙏🏽❤️

Menards moving and storage not a moving company BROKERAGE ONLY

Menards moving and storage I would never recommend them nor use them again. I am a disabled combat veteran and they really put me and my wife through the wringer. This is a small summary of a huge list of items I cut due to size available and some items were emotional due to much of my sentimental Army items are in this move. 1. Brokerage and Pricing DiscrepanciesBusiness Model: Menards Moving & Storage acted as a broker for this move. They collected a $2,999 booking fee to secure the services of a third-party carrier, Handle With Care Moving and Storage.Cost Variance: The final cost significantly exceeded the initial quote. Between the broker fee and the subcontractor’s charges, the total cost reached over $12,000.2. Contractual and Insurance ObservationsDocumentation: The carrier presented a contract originally branded for a different company (Blue Diamond Movers Inc) with their own details written over it.Insurance Terms: Despite verbal assurances of "full replacement value" during the booking phase, the paperwork presented at the time of pickup defaulted to $.60 per pound coverage. This contract was signed late in the evening (approx. 9:30 PM) under high-stress conditions.Incomplete Terms: Certain fee sections (stairs and long-carry distances) were left blank on the contract at the time of signing.3. Operational and Logistical IssuesDelays: The carrier missed three scheduled appointments. When they did arrive, it was several days after the initial date, arriving at 4:00 PM on the day prior to a critical international trip for the customer.Equipment/Labor: The crew lacked the necessary ramps for a specialized vehicle (Can-Am Spyder), requiring the use of the customer’s personal lumber and stones to facilitate loading. The customer observed that a portion of the labor appeared to be sourced from daily-hire platforms.Communication: The contact number provided for delivery coordination belongs to an unrelated construction business with no affiliation to the moving company.4. Resolution and Current StatusReview Management: A Menards representative requested the removal of a negative review in exchange for assistance. After the review was removed, the customer reported no further progress or substantive help from the company.Delivery Pending: As of this report, a specific delivery date has not been confirmed. Communication from the carrier remains limited to generic form emails.

Great Team!

I liked how personalized the whole process felt. They took my situation into account and arranged support that matched my needs. The move ran smoothly, even when my schedule changed.

Menards Moving Preys on Older Customers

My grandfather at 78 years old decided to move back home from TX to CT. He called Menards for a quote and was quoted at 330 cu ft for his move with items clarified he would be moving. He agreed and made an almost 1000$ deposit. He then got an email to call back the same representative, Sean 3 weeks later for a quality assurance call. He called back and reviewed his move and they made edits that laterally took items off and put items back on that same list. His quote was adjusted at 350 cu ft and he agreed to make a second deposit by phone. He was all in at 1668.12 by deposit and ready to move. They showed up at his home less than a week later and the movers quoted his 1 BR move at an additional 500 cu ft. Im not being specific- this is one bedroom in a home. Not the whole home- a room in a home. From there his price went up almost 2.5X. Originally a move under 2k now cost close to 5k. His stuff was packed in boxes and he was ready to go and the company told him pay to move or we keep your deposit. He felt taken advantage of and honestly, as his family our perception was that this was predatory behavior from Menards. He hired another company the next day mind you, who came out and quoted him again at the original 330 cu ft. I have politely called Menards three times with this incident happening right around the holidays in end of December 2025. They have yet to return my grandfathers deposit for a move they never completed, which was priced three different times even to the day of the move. If Menards plans to conduct more business they should do so in person quotes to avoid this for future customers. Their quality assurance call obviously did little to assure the consumer that Menards could price a move correctly. Shame on them for taking from people who have very little. We will continue to leave reviews until the money is returned. We will also continue to work with the BBB to be sure they have the receipts for this bait and switch behavior.

Avoid this place like a plague

Avoid this place like a plague. Absolutely horrible service and lies. Complete bait and switch tactics. Basically just out to rob you and the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I was provided a great quote for my move of a small office space. Spoke with Joe Pirelli, who was the best part of this disaster, nice guy. Told him I was moving a desk, chair, and roughly 15 boxes. He said I would have room for 100 boxes and we laughed about it. My final quote was for 87 boxes and my furniture. Total cost of $1794 and I was charged up front $794 for a deposit (naturally they claim to be non refundable)Weeks later I was contacted by their customer service manager Daniel Gray who was the most disgusting human I've ever communicated with on a business stand point. He was asking for my total moving items. I said the furniture and roughly 10-15 boxes. He instantly tells me I don't enough room. Like what? I was quoted for 87 boxes. He keeps talking over me saying "it's an estimate" over and over. Sure, an estimate that magically 77+ boxes vanish, right. Says I can pay another $650 or deal with the movers when they show up and they could ask for thousands more. We went back and forth, made me so angry. He kept trying to explain cubic feet to me, which I know and said should I come down to Florida and explain to pack a box? He then responds telling me "was that a threat, Florida is a stand your ground state." What is that?!?! Really saying that to a customer? He then tells me over and over the calls are recorded, I said good because of the way you are speaking to me. He then tells me Joe made mistakes in my original quote and will likely be fired. (right) We got to the point where he was done speaking with me and left it at that.I called back and he next day to simply say I did not want to proceed and he says fine, deal with the movers. I kept trying to call Joe and naturally never got an answer to a call of email. I reached out numerous times and finally someone answered claiming to be the owner of the company, Mr. Menard. I explained my situation and obviously he wants to retain my business and says to me I will be fine. At this point I was already done, I unpacked all my boxes and stuffed everything I could into my car. But I lost out on moving my $800 desk. He tells me his next in line employee Teddy will call me. I get a call from Teddy and we go over my issues and quote. He tells me over and over I have more than enough space, explaining dimensions, and I won't have to pay anything more than I already have. OK, so why, just a few days ago was I being berated with not enough space and to spend way more money. It's a total bait and switch scam. They want you to be foolish and spend more. I told Teddy I wanted to cancel my move, how could I not? I was paranoid I would be charged more by moving company or my items held hostage. Teddy says again, I can't get my $794 deposit back. Why? What did I even deposit on? It's not like a truck was picked out and ready to go for my stuff instantly. But hey let's call this guy to get him to spend way more. Not how it works in my world. I've already put a charge back on the card. Already contacted and filed with BBB. Again, avoid this company. They will rob you. Fool you. Ultimately laugh at you.So before someone from Menards reaches out here saying my review is fake. It's not. Job No: PS6268554 which naturally the quote is magically "gone" from the link. Good thing I screen shot everything. All these 5 star reviews here are beyond fake. Such awful money stealing tactics

Finding storage for a few weeks in

Finding storage for a few weeks in between apartments wasn’t easy until these guys helped me figure it out. They connected me with a clean and secure option and arranged for a team to handle pickup and drop-off. I didn’t have to drive anything or move boxes around. It was done for me. All things were returned just as I left them, and the timing lined up with my new place perfectly. That kind of convenience made the whole move less of a hassle.
