'Live' updates app completely…
'Live' updates app completely incorrect. Tram never on schedule. Frequently waiting 20+ mins when it should be every 6 mins. Reported incident of someone following me home and making me feel terrified and wasn't followed up on. Unsure what we're paying so much for and how Manchester council is expecting any more people to commute via public transport than already rammed on during rush hour.

The current ticket inspection process…
The current ticket inspection process is inefficient and poorly coordinated. Being asked to present a ticket, only to be approached again moments later by another inspector, highlights a clear lack of communication between staff. This repetitive system wastes passengers time and creates unnecessary frustration. A more cohesive approach is needed, maybe installing turnstiles on platforms would be a more effective and reliable solution rather than relying on disjointed manual checks.

Not sure who thought to put "metro" and "link" together. Third world service. Just need people on the top and hens running about in the carriages. Can't see Andy Burnham sorting things out from where I am stood on this platfrom. Piss poor.

Customers are now paying £7.10 for peak tickets. Yet, the Bury line is always inconsistent and far too infrequent for the amount of people that use it. Drivers are also unprofessional and waste time. The service is just well below par for a city tram.

Ripped off because of poor charging system
My Wife, my Daughter and myself all tapped in together at Radcliffe on our way to Manchester. On route an inspector got on and checked if we had paid to travel with his machine. He never said anything, just nodded and we then tapped out at Market Street. We returned later from Victoria to Radcliffe all tapping in and out. My Daughter has just had 2 payments taken from her account (is this even legal) of £60 and £9??She has appealed unsuccessfully but I've told her to contest this because it is obviously a money making scam, shame on you Metrolink.

Rude
Rude, bullying ticket inspectors. I've been left shaking with fear on more than one occasion. Not listening and being cocky/raising their voice and trying to embarrass you infront of others for a power trip because I accidentally bought the incorrect ticket type (which wasn't made clear. Saying I didn't know how to buy a ticket when I remained polite. Insane, unacceptable behaviour. Disgusted in the service

The customer service is really bad
The tram drivers and services themselves are great. A wonderful and essential service to Manchester! But the low review is because of their ticket inspectors and horrible customer service. I forgot my day pass and received a fine -fair enough. My fault. But the ticket inspector said that if I have the day pass at home, I can appeal it and have the fine cancelled. I wrote the appeal, I provided the photo and the number of my ticket... and the appeal was rejected. Those guys have no common sense.I also don't like the rude tone and attitude used by some of the ticket inspectors. I literally heard an inspector address a person without a ticket with the words, "Are you an idiot?" Dude, you're a grown man in a yellow vest harassing people for their tram ticket. Not exactly an essential service. Don't go around calling others idiots 🤣

I used Go train from whitby to union station. Mez is amazing to guide us to buy the tickets and explained very well how to use it . She is doing her job with her smiling face and with patience. It is wonderful to have her in this location. Keep up your good spirit.

Avoid if possible
Where to start. Getting on a running tram is much of a lottery in Manchester. You might manage to get one, standing room only usually, but you're likely to end up stuck between stations and delayed at some point . One line goes down, the network goes to stand still. The 'inspectors' stand around chatting or looking on their phones. No stopping people smoking or vaping on the platform. Then they pick and chose who to tackle for not having a ticket. If its someone who looks like they might be problematic they just let them get off rather than issue a fine. I asked one why they do this , he said its not like they pay them anyway. Feral teenagers hanging around stations and intimidating people. Embarrassingly bad all around. I try get the bus now wherever possible .

Just got on the tram at market Street going towards bury. Its 9. 30 am. As usual nowadays there's a queue of trams getting into Victoria Station. The advice from the driver is to get off and walk as its quicker. This is every day now

DO NOT USE TAP IN AND TAP OUT SYSTEM
Long story guys but basically I tapped in TWICE then got checked by inspector before getting on the tram where he said I got declined I tapped again to check if it's not a fluke and it didn't work SO I run back to the tapping in machine do the thing and inspectors device declined me for the THIRD time LOL I then start to panic and another inspector comes by and let me tap in on his checking device which WORKED and I was allowed onto the tram and at the end of the destination I tapped OUT and got a RED screen....-due to stress I immediately called the customer service who then tells me they can't see anything and call tomorrow which I did- I got then told they can see me trying to tap in but I never got charged, don't worry you won't get fined this time but call your bank figure out why my card over google wallet through phone didn't work and just use another card in the meantime. SO I figure OK no biggie, they never allowed me to pay manually they can see that I clearly tried to pay but today I got THREE ---3 FINES each £60 and upon called customer service again I was advised by a chap that it looks like I had no ticket (blaming me) and told me to fillout appeal form online. I did just now and it says I will get a reply in 14 days. That means good bye £180?. DONT USE TAP IN and OUT SERVICE. It will FU** U. Use the app insteadUpdate: 19th of June. They refunded 2 fines but they refuse to check cameras as it would invalidade their claim and still kept me fined for

Joke of a service...
Joke of a service...Trams leave terminus while the clock still shows 2 minutes before departure...Most drivers are rude and inconsiderate....And as a disabled person it's sometimes impossible to get off where I want because the lifts are always broke and some stops don't have any other way to leave apart from stairs which I can assure you is pretty impossible to bunny hop up and down...As a disabled traveller I try to avoid this tinpot company as much as is possible...And don't bother using the station intercom to let know there are no lifts as the last time I did it the response was OK and that I'd just have to get off elsewhere which defeats the object of making travel easier for disabled people

Total shambles yet again
Total shambles yet again. Pay a full price ticket and end up doing a quarter of the journey on foot, half on "free buses" the other quarter by tram if your lucky.! Such a poor service, lack of information. It takes bloody hours to get from the city centre to the airport.

I attempted to purchase a ticket via the Metrolink mobile app to travel from Los Angelas Airport (LAX) to Union Station by flyaway bus, but the transaction was unsuccessful. I tried again, but once more, I was unable to complete the purchase. As a result, I used my credit card to pay for my fare when boarding the bus. However, when I later checked my bank account, I noticed that both of my unsuccessful online transactions were still charged, despite the app displaying an error message at the time of purchase. So, I am charged even though I could not get any ticket. Then, I sent an email to them. And they want me to fill a refund form which requires ticket number. This must be a joke. I again sent an email that I cannot fill the form because I do not have any ticket number because your application is not working properly, they have not answered ye (1 week).

Wife and friend both fined £60 each…
Wife and friend both fined £60 each after using tram for the first time. They knew to "Tap in" on the platform and thought they had done so when an inspector on the platform offered them a card reader, my wife queried this but her and her friend were just told to "Hurry up and get on the tram" queried again with the inspector onboard who just got them to tap a second time! Website makes it clear there is no right of appeal on this basis and even if you try to submit one the appeal form mandates a reference number that has not been provided, they just take the money automatically from your account. Understandably my wife feels like she has been entrapped and has no recourse. This issue is not unique to my wife, a quick trawl online shows that it is a major issue, granted there may be some that are just disgruntled at being caught out but the drive to reduce fair dodging whilst effective has no regard to the collateral damage. My wife is absolutely not a fare dodger and was misdirected. So beware if using the tram, I don't wish to tar all inspectors with the same brush but the inspectors my wife encountered were not there to help her, only to catch her out.

I received a penalty date even though I did not ride the tram at all. The appeals teams stated that they could not locate my contactless card on the system and it was not until I produced evidence from my bank that I tapped that they all of a sudden found my card on the system. They still rejected my appeal. I contacted my local MP and filed a complaint. I have deleted the new app and will not use the public transport in Manchester again

60 £ Penalty fare was charged when the inspection was done at the entrance of the station before letting people tap in. Unfortunately, the appeal was rejected even after explaining the situation to the Appeal team.

Absolutely disgusting service
Absolutely disgusting service. The Bury to Altrincham line in the busy peak period of the morning has two carriages and dangerously overloaded. Over the festive holidays they removed the line route completely for operation needs and didn't even bother telling customers, yet charged them for the expensive monthly service. The Bee Network app is rarely updated on time to inform of issues so people are made late regularly.
