Pretty straightforward move. Boxes, furniture, and a few appliance.
Decent moving service overall. The pickup went smoothly and the crew worked hard, but updates about scheduling and delivery could be clearer. An okay experience, though some improvements would help.
Now it’s Feb 11th writing a follow up from Feb 2nd. No Borders will not answer daily calls or texts. Was given a lie that a delivery may happen last weekend Feb 7/8th. No communication at all from them. Safe Travels Moving and Storage is the broker who uses No Borders. They do answer calls and put in requests for updates. They’re just as involved and culpable in my opinion. 1). They are all about communication to pick up your belongings. After a text from Rod for a delayed delivery from my request, silence! 2). DO NOT let them store your belongings. 3). The contract I signed is with Safe Travels MS. I started mid January to get a date for delivery on Jan 27th; it’s now Feb 11th and just crickets. They send a notice of industry standard that is way too general—700 mile range is 2-10 days of which many other factors can delay. Expedited service will cost you extra. How patient does one remain? My mother now has an apartment and needs her things. No communication. Consumer beware and specify your requests in the contract before signing.
If I could, I would give them 0 starsThey are not honest about the arrival time and they want to charge you extra fees at the time of delivery.
If I could leave zero stars I would. 3 of 4 dressers ripped apart, my antique chair that is solid wood - leg snapped in half. All my mirrors and framed art work- broken. The boxes looked like they had been thrown around. My African pottery- broken. Not only that but it took over a month to get our stuff delivered after giving them the new address and they told us 7-21 days. Still dealing with claims for our broken thing. And they price gouge for more money for anything they can
I only put one star because I cannot put nothing! this company is a nightmare! they charged me $5000 dollars for less than a 10x10 storage unit. I'm contacting a class action lawyer to sue!
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Absolutely awful company that I will never recommend to ANYONE. Took my stuff on July 15 and I didn’t see it until September 3rd. We called every day and they wouldn’t answer or would promise us a call back and not follow through. PS they hide in the contract that they are allowed to keep your stuff in storage for over 30 days. This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Across everything. No question. Would give negative starts if I could.
Terrible experience. We paid $6,000 upfront for a move from NY to FL with another $2,000 due at delivery. They kept changing the delivery dates on us.They put our belongings in storage without our consent and even threatened to auction our things when we refused to pay the balance before delivery. Staff have been rude and unhelpful throughout. We have filed complaints with the FMCSA and BBB. Be very cautious before using this company.
These guys are thieves; if I could give a zero star, I would have. They kept my stuff in their warehouse for almost a month just to deliver it all in broken condition, and also a couple of my suitcases containing valuable items are missing. When I tried to call and talk to them, they said the f-word to me when I asked about the claim form. I paid money just to get trash delivered, and I waited for a month and a half. Since they delivered everything, they haven't contacted me and even said they were sorry and they tried to offer me 300 USD, which I of course denied. Don't ever try to use their services. I got recontracted to them by some other company, which is their only argument about what happened. I haven't received any proper compensation offers, apology, or anything else. They are mean, irresponsible, and they literally traumatized me with their approach.
This company is entirely fraudulent. It has been almost a month past our expected delivery date, and we have received no replies to any of our numerous calls and voicemails. I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and next, I will involve the police and then a attorney. I strongly urge you not to be deceived by these completely misleading 5-star reviews. Regrettably, we found ourselves in a difficult situation with the expedited sale of our home, leaving us with no alternative options.
STILL WORKING WITH OWNER _ NO RESOLUTION THUS FAR - My experience with this moving company was appalling—marked by hidden fees, overcharges, missing items, and property damage. No Borders arrived a day late to pick up my goods then didn't have a truck big enough for my BOL 2800 cubic feet we contracted them for. Took them 1 1/2 days to due to truck space to pack up my house.Held me hostage for additional fees. 1. Unauthorized $2,000 “Delay” Fee On July 14, I was told delivery would occur Wednesday. I confirmed with their team that Monday, July 21 at 11 a.m. was acceptable. On July 17, I was told my goods would arrive over the weekend; again, I confirmed Monday delivery. No delivery was attempted Saturday or Sunday. Then, at 10 a.m. Monday, I was told I must pay $2,000 ($500/day per truck) to release my property. This fee was never disclosed in advance and was applied under duress—essentially holding my belongings hostage until I paid. To make matters worse, they charged me for two trucks, even though the second carried only a handful of items.2. Missing and Damaged Property Several items never arrived, including:Two kitchen boxes (containers, plates, bowls). One box of TV equipment (cables, chargers, Roku).Damaged items included:Coffee table (unrepairable).Stand-up desk and sideboard.Multiple broken dishes (despite careful packing).Tonal gym equipment, which was transported upright instead of flat.Additionally, the movers caused significant wall damage in my brand-new home (documented during walkthroughs).
Safe Ship approached me via phone calls and emails. They did the right thing and reimbursed me for my losses and inconvenience. This issue is resolved.
After delivery and multiple discussions in which this company made a genuine apology for the delay and a small consideration for my troubles I have upgraded my review. i told them accurate communication was essential and they seemed committed to this.
Not even one star. I cannot say enough to express how horrible this company is. They showed up to pick up a day early with no notification. When the delivery window passed, they would not answer the phone or return my call. They dropped off four days late with no notification or explanation of why it was late. My household goods were scratched, damaged, and broken. Thick plastic boxes were crushed. A box very clearly marked as glass was punctured. All of the wooden furniture was scratched and scraped. They did not use the digital bill of lading I signed, but instead used a hand written, illegible version that did not properly describe my household goods. They only sent one person to deliver and unload, but some of my household goods are large. Consequently, my good were damaged. The person who delivered and unloaded did not understand English well enough to have a conversation and clearly could not read English since the box marked as glass was obviously damaged. He did not handle anything with care, but threw pieces out of the moving truck. He does not know how to stack household goods to avoid damage to furniture or crushing thick plastic moving boxes. The heaviest furniture was stacked on top of moving boxes, including the one clearly marked as glass, thereby, crushing them. They did not clearly state the payment process and changed from credit card processing at pick up to only accepting cash on delivery. When I was finally able to reach an agent after repeatedly calling, the agent did not understand English very well and I had to keep explaining that I needed to make a delivery payment. The transaction did not seem legitimate. I would not recommend this company.
DO NOT USE!! Worst company ever. they won’t deliver our items and keep changing the timeline. Jennifer Flores is the worker that keeps lying about things. DO NOT USE
