Great product BUT, shipping needs work!!
I am choosing 3 because the product is well made. I purchased a 24' lifetime fire place grate with a basket height of 4 5/8" However, it took a long time to be shipped from the distributor. I called customer servive after it did not ship for 10 days. I was told the company claims they have no control over the process, but I was given an accurate arrival date. Furthermore, the money was held in my account until it shipped. The product showed up with a cardboard box taped around it. The legs were sticking through the cardboard. Both ends were totally exposed. This app will not allow pictures. UPS shouldn't have shipped it in that manner. Finally, it weighs only 29 pounds not 39 pounds as described on the wesite.

My father purchased a fireplace grate and come to find out they were out of stock and had no idea when they would have the item in stock. Obviously he canceled the order and asked for a refund since nothing has been shipped. They continue to say it’s in the “fulfillment process” so no refunds when there is nothing that’s being fulfilled. It also said “next day delivery” and it’s been 4 business days. It makes no sense. Please give refund if you cannot fulfill the order.

When I first ordered the product I was provided a delivery date of July 1. About 8 - 10 days after I placed my order, and had received a confirmation, I contacted to check on my delivery. Northline had no record of my order and said it would be about another month for delivery. At first my customer service agent, via email, was very helpful, then went silent. After continuing to press, I eventually received a new order receipt with a $0 balance and a new delivery date. To me this stated that the order, which had been made and charged to my credit card, had not been placed and had I not called, the product would not have been shipped. This is my second order through Northline and the first experience was very smooth. I wish someone had actually called me, versus ghosting me and making me do the follow up.... Eventually happy, but I had to do the service recovery work for them.

They were very helpful.
They were very helpful and made sure I got the products I ordered. After I ordered they informed me that my order was in backorder and let me know what my options were. After asking about one of the options, they said that they were able to get the manufacturer to drop ship the product to me. Every step of the process they kept me in the loop and let me know what was going on. I did receive my products fast, however one of them had paint cracking and peeling off, along with a missing part. However this was not fault of theirs. I reached out to them and within 24 hours they had talking to the manufacturer and had a new product on the way. I did not even have time to reply to the first email reply about the problem and they had even thing lined up to fit it and set to ship me the new item. I would definitely get more products from them again in the future.

I use this hearth & stove cleaner every day to dampen a paper towel with it and dip it in fine ash from my wood burning fireplace to clean the ceramic glass on the doors. Vcombination works perfectly! Sometimes if buildup is light I don't need the addition of ash. I gave 4 stars because it wasn't packaged well enough and arrived with a slight leak in the shipping box due to a broken seal. There was insufficient packaging material to hold the jugs in place so they wouldn't roll around in the too big of a box. This caused the screw cap to come off and the seal to break. Fortunately very little leaked out so did not need to be reimbursed. You need to package better so gallon jugs are secure.
