WARNING
WARNING – PLEASE READ BEFORE HIRING PARAMOUNT VAN LINES ⚠️I have never written an online review in my life, but I feel obligated to share our experience to protect others. My wife and I hired Paramount Van Lines believing they were a reputable moving company. We paid a $2,600 deposit for our household move pursuant to our written agreement. Without our knowledge or consent, Paramount brokered our move to another company, Backup Movers, just days before the scheduled pickup.Backup Movers picked up our household goods and, under the terms of the contract, agreed to deliver them on a scheduled delivery date. That delivery never occurred. Our belongings were more than two months late and were never delivered at all. Backup Movers stopped responding to calls, messages, and emails. When we contacted Paramount Van Lines for assistance, as required under the agreement, they failed to intervene or provide any meaningful support and instead repeatedly gave us the runaround. As a result, my family spent Christmas without our furniture or personal belongings. With the assistance of federal and local law enforcement, we were eventually able to locate and recover our property. Our household goods had been stored in a facility for over two months with no delivery scheduled or attempted, despite the contractual obligation to complete the move.Despite Paramount Van Lines’ failure to perform the services outlined in the contract, they refused to refund our $2,600 deposit. We are currently working with multiple law enforcement agencies and the Attorney General’s office regarding this matter. Please take this warning seriously and conduct thorough research before hiring this company. Based on our experience and Paramount Van Lines’ failure to honor its contractual obligations, I strongly recommend avoiding this company.Update Regarding Paramount Van LinesThis is an update regarding my ongoing situation with Paramount Van Lines. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The company is a broker that lures you in with very low estimate and makes you sign a waiver of visual inspection. The contractor company arrives very late in the day and recalculates the price tripling it. At that point you are forced to go with it because all your stuff is packed and you have no other solutions but rely on these movers. Then, it gets worse after that. Your information including your names, phone numbers, case numbers, etc shared with some scammers that present yourself as Paramount Vans representatives and offer their help to fix things. They pretend to give you a discount and lure you into paying some fees through app such as Zelle or Apple Cash. They will tell you that your moving truck is on its way and as soon as you pay those fees, it will be pulling in your driveway. It’s all a scam and no truck comes after you pay. My parents still waiting for their stuff. It has been a week after assigned delivery date. Avoid these criminals at all cost! Safe your sanity and money.

Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs — worst moving experience ever.I booked an interstate move through Paramount Van Lines who say they are carrier but broker, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. What they promised and what actually happened were two completely different things.• Unprofessional Movers: The moving crew they sent was late, careless, and did not speak English. Items were packed haphazardly, fragile items were tossed in with no protection, and boxes were crushed poorly taped. The boxes came out of the truck upside down. More of my items are ruined rather than intact. The majority of the furniture arrived damaged or broken. I am not exaggerating when I say all of my items were scratched, dented, irreparable, and/or irreplaceable.• Terrible Packing: Nothing was labeled. They used random boxes and materials and left a huge mess behind. They didn’t bring proper supplies, despite being told in advance what we needed. Fragile items were not wrapped but non fragile items such as paper towels were wrapped. They did not pack my drawers for 3 big dressers and ruined the dressers and all of the contents.• Bait-and-Switch Pricing: I was quoted one price, then charged much more and left with no alternative options. This broker intentionally underquoted the amount of space to get us to sign the contract then at final inventory, after the 72-hour period during the nonrefundable period, they doubled the price. Once they changed the estimate, I had no choice but to pay.• Delays and Poor Communication: My delivery window came and went with no one showing up on the scheduled packing date. I was given different excuses every time I called.• No Accountability: When I complained, both the broker and the moving company blamed each other. Neither would take responsibility for the poor service and damages.I trusted them with my belongings during a major life move, and they completely failed. Save yourself the stress, money, and heartbreak — do your research and choose a reputable moving company, not a shady broker like this one

ALL MY FAMILY AND HOUSE BELONGING HAS BEEN STOLEN
ALL MY FAMILY AND HOUSE BELONGING HAS BEEN STOLEN BY THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! WE ARE LIVING A CATASTOPHIC MOVE BECAUSE OF PARAMOUNT VAN LINES COMPANY AND IT UKRANIAN CARRIER NAMED ALEX AND THE BROOCKER. WE ARE LIVING A NIGHTMARE BECAUSE WE LOST ALL OUR FURNITURES, MY HUSBAND PHD NOTES AND OFFICIAL CERTIFICATES AND BOOKS, MY DAUGHTER DOLLHOUSE AND BOOKSHELVES, OUR $500 BBQ, OUR $2K ELLIPTICAL,OUR BRAND NEW LEATHER COUCHES, OUR TV, ALL OUR CLOTHES. MY 7 SUITCASES THAT I PREPARED TO GO OVERSEAS TO VISIT MY PARENTS WITH A LOT OF VALUABLE PRESENTS....WHY???? YOU TOOK $13K TO STOLE OUR BELONGINGS???The carrier sent his movers at 7:30 p.m on May 31, 2025. After that they came back at 8:00 a.m on June 1st, 2025 to pick up our whole belongings in our house in Lenexa, Kansas to Orlando, Florida. They started by wrapping some stuff and dissasembling my husband L shape desk, one of them had broken the $1K desk. My husband started to be very frustrated and stressed out about what is happening. We felt what happening is totally wrong. Because we passed before by a move from Canada to US.The track was 26 square feet. The U-Haul truck that they came with it to pick up our belongings was full. My husband asked the carrier named Alex to give him paper sheet certify the stuff they movers will carry, but his refused. We asked about the delivery date many times by calling the broocker and the carrier and every time they were giving us a wrong date and no one showed up.On June 18th, 2025 at 7:45 p.m, movers from this company came after giving us a notification for the drop off, and we found our self in front of catastrophe. They asked us to give them the rest of the money. Otherwise they refused to give us our belongings. When we gave them the rest of the amount, we found that the movers did not bring the 3/4 of our whole belongings. The company and the carrier who took all our belongings on June 1st in Kansas to Florida for our whole house had stolen ALL OUR BELONGINGS!!!BE CAREFULL PEOPLE BEFORE YOU SIGN WITH THEM ANY MOVING CONTRACT!!!

Use caution when hiring Paramount Van…
Use caution when hiring Paramount Van Lines. I had a very mixed experience. One of the positive aspects was that Van Mount stepped in at the last minute when another mover cancelled, which I appreciated during a stressful time. However, the rest of the experience was frustrating. I received a binding estimate based on my exact inventory, but on the day of pickup, the movers demanded an extra $1,115.12—despite no changes to what was agreed. No new estimate was issued, which is a clear violation of federal moving regulations.Customer service gave vague updates, saying the delivery was delayed due to “truck issues and multiple stops.” But the driver later confirmed that my items were just sitting in a Chicago warehouse and were loaded only three days before delivery with no other stops. They used a smaller truck during pickup, which exaggerated how much space my items were taking. During delivery, they came with a larger truck, clearly showing that the volume was much less than what I was charged for.Once the sales rep received the deposit, their tone and responsiveness changed drastically. Communication became poor, and I felt completely on my own.I have already filed a formal complaint with the Department of Transportation for these issues. Be very cautious before trusting this company with your move.

highway robbery
they start off as personable and helpful, offering significant discounts, then as you go through the process they add additional fees, don't follow through on promised services (such as itemized inventories). don't respond to calls on the day of service when there is a demand for more payment is made only after they have possession of your belongings. that initial discount is systematically eroded into a negative number with you paying considerably more than what was agreed on.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE
These scammers are outright thieves and professional con artists. I don’t even know how they sleep at night defrauding and intentionally misleading people of their hard earned money.SERIOUSLY, those positive reviews are NOT at all a factual representation of how they operate. They first lowball you with a very low estimate for your stuff. Then once the third party carrier arrives the price more than triples because they have pocketed your initial deposits for themselves with no shame or accountability as to what you should actually be paying. It ONLY goes downhill from there. They hit you with hidden fees and hire unprofessional movers who can’t count or do the math when it comes to what you owe so they price gouge you. When your stuff is delivered you better believe they have stolen valuable items and don’t even let you know of the delivery date. The amount of federal laws broken are way too many to count; it’s like they play hopscotch on every law to benefit themselves. From beginning to end, it is a never ending nightmare, as the scam strategy becomes more convoluted. Just when I thought it was over, the delivery process took the cake. I was called out of the blue to let me know my items were arriving that day after weeks of silence regarding the delivery window. I drove 5 hours from North Carolina just to be there so I wasn’t hit with their absurd redelivery fee. My large plasma television in addition to other valuables were taken. These people have only JUST hit the surface of the lengths I plan to go to to for justice and to get them shut down. When you do work at a federal level, let’s just say there is knowledge and access to higher channels of accountability :).Furthermore I had to hire a U-Haul for them to transfer my items at delivery because they wanted to charge an additional $487 fee on top of the $4,497 I already paid for a one bedroom apartments worth of items. Hahaha we will see who has the last laugh. I’m plastering this all over so people know who they are and how they operate. It’s my due diligence to society.Stay FAR FAR AWAY. Please allow these photos to speak for themselves. Most of my items were delivered damaged and I’m missing an entire 60’ plasma television and other items. I had to transfer my items to the storage unit myself. I also received boxes of items that were not even mine. They don’t respond to any emails or your calls because they do not give a flying hoot about you. All they see is green. Karma is alive and well though, I’ll tell you that much! :)

A Disgust
Would give this company negative 500 stars if I could. Steer clear of them at all costs – it will be the best decision you ever make. After signing the contract with Josh, who promised me he would be my point of contact, he completely ghosted me. Not only did the movers arrive with NO packing materials, despite me paying for the full packing service, they also lost multiple boxes of my belongings. To make matters worse, they damaged several items that were delivered, including my grandmother's china, which was completely destroyed. The final mover who dropped off my things even showed me pictures of my furniture just thrown haphazardly in the truck, unwrapped and unprotected, and admitted it was received that way. The insurance payout? A pathetic $78. Meanwhile, my lost and damaged items are worth thousands of dollars. This company is a total scam and a disgrace. Do yourself a favor and RUN far, far away from them.

Horrible Experience with Paramount Van Lines
I had a terrible experience with Paramount Van Lines during my recent move from Massachusetts to South Carolina. Here’s what happened:Two days before the move, I had a final check-in call with the Paramount Van Lines team. I mentioned a few small items I had missed, and the phone agent reassured me that my inventory wasn’t much and everything should fit within the quoted volume. They gave me an original quote of $4,400, but things took a turn for the worse on moving day. When the truck arrived, the driver immediately told me that the inventory list and volume assigned didn’t match at all. If the driver could identify this discrepancy right away, how could Paramount Van Lines have missed it during their assessment? To make matters worse, $1,700 of the original $4,400 was just their broker fee, and the actual movers provided a new quote of $8,500 on the spot.Their customer service was unhelpful, sticking to scripted responses. They claimed my boxes were "Extra Large" instead of "Medium," which was noted in the contract—something I hadn’t caught earlier. To add insult to injury, they required payment via bank ACH transfer when signing the contract, rather than allowing credit card payments. This means you can’t cancel the transaction or dispute the charge to get your money back. Once you sign the contract, your booking amount is gone.At that point, I asked the driver to load what he could within the assigned volume, thinking he might not fit all the boxes, and I could arrange for another company to handle the rest. Shockingly, the driver only loaded about 8 items—maybe 20% of my belongings—and declared that the space was full. I was left with no choice but to pay their inflated fees to get the rest of my items moved.Afterward, I researched Paramount Van Lines online and found similar horror stories. It’s clear this is their standard way of operating. The stress and financial burden they caused are unacceptable. If you're considering Paramount Van Lines, save yourself the trouble. Their lowball estimates, excessive broker fees, manipulative practices, and rigid payment policies will cost you much more than you expect. Avoid this company at all costs!
