Inclusion
I taught at Pinnacle Academy this past year in the Sprouts classroom. I’ve taught for many years at many schools: private, charter, Christian, and public. What impressed me most about Pinnacle is that ALL students are accepted and included. Students aren’t afraid to take part in plays or dances or activities. I’ve watched programs with tears in my eyes as students take center stage who would have been excluded or ignored in other schools. And they just shine! I love this about the school.

I hope it imporves
Seems strange that my 5 year old (grade K) has to take the Introduction to Virtual Learning Course as a requirement when she's way too young for it, she's not reading yet, and it's quite long.

Terrible
This STEM school could not offer my high schooler 9th grade biology nor Pre-calculus. To make up for it, we were offered a finance class taught by a parent. The school also expected the full $11,160 in tuition for English 5 days a week and Social studies 3 days a week. Do the math, you'd think we were at a top private university. Much of the same happened last year, as well. The school also had the audacity to ask for back tuition we withheld for not offering Social Studies last year and offering one of my children only half a day of instruction. If you're in the habit of paying for services not rendered, then this is the place for you.A culture of double standards and two different worlds is the norm here; one for Turkish families and one for everyone else. Counselors, who are also unqualified parents, will jeopardize your child’s academic career in the hopes of accelerating their own children’s academic careers. A toxic environment to say the least. Tons of bias and discrimination at this school against teachers and students, and all these claims can substantiated through countless threads of emails.

needs improvement
I would start by saying that pinnacle has a good academic program. They need improvement in working with kids who are troubled. Pinnacle is excellent with kids with little or no behavioral problems. I don't feel they gave the effort in trying to help my son receive his IEP. The principal kept saying how it can take up to 6 months, but they could have moved faster if they wanted to. I removed my son from pinnacle and he has improved. The principal at Arbor elementary was able to get my son a IEP within a month. Not saying pinnacle is a bad school, because I have two other children who are doing good there. The office clerks are friendly.

Pinnacle
The teachers focus more on discipline than teaching. The office staff is great and just a few teachers are really doing their job. If they had more compassion and teaching tools it would help a lot.

Needs some logistics improvements.
There is low parent involvement due to staff being in charge of all events. What happen to PTO/PTA meetings? Maybe I'm old school. The box tops program - a staff member is in charge of that. I try to get involved and stated that on the first day and yet nothing. They use my ideas and down give credit where it should be due. The pickup/dropped needs improving.

Effective
My daughter has become a wonderful person because of this school, it has definitely changed the person she use to be. The teachers are helpful, but the office members, deans and the principal are very efficient and trustworthy, i am pleased to say i have enjoyed being a part of this school for the last 2 years, i will be sad to tell them bye when my daughter graduate in May.

The principal never interacts with the parents she puts it al on the deans.
The principal never interacts with parents she puts everything and problem on the deans to deal with. I also think there should be an in school suspension program because they send kids home to much and kids like getting suspended. If I didn't have to work I would volunteer as a in school suspension parent to put a stop to kids getting their way. Its not helping the problem its making it worse not only on the kids but on the parents.
