Extremely honest and transparent company
I have been searching for the right shade for almost 10 years and I finally found mine here at Plain Jane Beauty with the shade #2 I am Elegant!I have a very strange, unique skin tone that even the Sephora peeps could not ever match. I have an olive, neutral, light skin tone (not medium, not fair). Most makeup companies don't really consider the fact that olive skin tones can be present in people who DON'T have medium skin tones. People have mistaken me for a warm skin tone or a true neutral one. But I have a greenish tinge to my skin that's hard to see at times. Warm foundation made me look a bit too orange, and straight up neutral foundations looked a bit pink on me. I can finally rest in peace knowing that I finally have a foundation that literally blends in and 'melts' with my skin tone. I love herbal, all-natural smells (not the ones that smell like paint - I'm looking at you, Estee Lauder and MAC!!!!) and this foundation smells amazing. I love knowing that I'm putting something on my face that is healthy and good for me, and won't cause any health issues in the long run.People might compare this company to 100% Pure, and while the latter is a-ok, I don't like that 100% Pure uses Japanese honeysuckle in their products. I did some research and it looks like long-term use of products containing it may contribute to reproductive harm. Nowadays almost every woman I know has a hard time conceiving, and I'm doing whatever I can to ensure that whatever I'm putting on my body will not pose harm to me later on in the future.Thank you so much PJB!!!
