I decided to call my agent he called them saying my policy is suppose to be cancel not active so today . Because of me calling thy decide to cancel my policy after a week of active policy . All this time I’m assuming everything was good . I could got pulled over and got towed. Now they say they reimburse me 130$ n rob me for 262$ saying it applied towards account if applied toward account then my account suppose to be active correct ? Where is my other account half of my money . Why am I only getting back 130$ if my policy is cancel ? U rob me for my money !!!!!!! I never had a policy with u guys that$391 was suppose to be for a new policy with u guys so why am I not getting that policy ? Why representative can’t explained to me why but. Enrolled me in fake add-ons, and only charged me more when I asked to cancel

Plymouth Rock routinely tries to enroll its customers in bells and whistles add-ons that do - and I mean this sincerely - nothing for your insurance. The list is huge, if you're a current customer login and feel disgusted, look at your historic bill line by line and see the weird things this NAIC accredited company got away with. How about during COVID travel restrictions when they tried to add on a premium that would reimburse me (minus deductible) for counterfeit money you get during international currency exchanges? Or my personal favorite, hundreds of dollars over my lifetime for the courtesy of getting first dibs on NFL Patriots game tickets. You can't make this up. Hidden inside a professional package from a company you are trusting your life with was a charge for NFL ticket opportunities. But this final experience summarizes it all:After Plymouth Rock re-enrolled me in Home Concierge services without my consent (notice a theme?), when I informed them I would be leaving the company outright over this, they ghosted me. When I did finally leave them, as a final twist, they manually unenrolled me in paperless billing just so they could send my mortgage company a bill for $25 the week before my policy ended.I'll give them props for being petty, but this is not the kind of service you want from your insurance company when they've overstayed their price.

“Canceled Policy, Still Charged – Unacceptable!”

I tried to cancel my Plymouth Rock policy on 11/28/2025, but their office was closed. I received an email confirming the closure and a confirmation from an employee the next day. I finally canceled on 11/29/2025, but at no point was I advised that my payment would still be pulled. On 12/3, they withdrew $197.58 from my account, causing an overdraft. Their representatives gave conflicting information, cited a 9-year-old ACH agreement I was never reminded of, and said refunds could take 30–60 days. This demonstrates negligence, poor communication, and unethical practices. I strongly caution others considering this company.

Worst. Go anywhere else

Worst company ever. Cancelled to go with liberty mutual and saved over $ 400 a month. For the few days I was insured I am only getting refunded $86.00 out of the $559.00 I was charged. Evidently they charge to cancel. Dumb also wanting a form faxed from liberty mutual took several days by insurance agents. Braley Wellington never go here Worcester Massachusetts

I have been with Plymouth Rock for…

I have been with Plymouth Rock for about 5 years and had a great experience with them. I have had 2 claims- 1 for auto damage from backing into guard post at a gas station and other wind damage to my roof. Both were handled promptly and to my satisfaction. Great company to do business with!

Scam Artists!

I would give zero stars if possible. I started my policy paying 400 a month. After renewing it raised to 607 without notice. (never been in an accident or even pulled over) I ended up paying that amount monthly and I started to notice inconsistencies with my bill. Every day/week It would be a different amount (off by 100-1000) and I would contact them, and they would always state they made a mistake and would have it fixed (never was). I then started to see reversed transactions after making a payment but would never see the amount credited back to my checking account. I eventually got frustrated and told them to cancel my policy immediately and that I am contacting a lawyer. They continued to charge me and started charging me more than 100 a month for homeowners' insurance. They have sent me a bill of over 2500. I do not rent or own a home, and I didn't ask for that coverage. Plymouth Rock will scam and take advantage of you!!! STAY AWAY!!!P.S They aren't accredited by the BBB.

Plymouth Rock Insurance Failed on their duties

Just to set the stage here, I have been insured with Plymouth Rock for the last two years, I have four vehicles on that policy. On 12/03/24, my car was badly hit in a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle was taken to a tow yard, then a body shop. Two weeks ago, the body shop sent them an appraisal for repair of over $20k, the appraiser nor the adjuster have done nothing with that information, the have been dragging their feet, nothing has been done other them sending me an email saying that I need to return my rental in 4 days. This has been very stressful for me. This Insurance company charges me high dollars, and fails to provide you the very service they have charged you for. what a shame.I will not recommend this insurance to anyone.

If I could give less than one star I…

If I could give less than one star I would. My car was parked. I was not in car. I found damage to the rear of my car when I came back. Plymouth Rock is telling me I backed into something trying to avoid surcharges. The damage amounted to approximately $3000.00 on a $90,000 car. After 3 adjusters a forensic team and 2 months of investigation later - which probably cost more then the actual repairs they did cut a check sent it to the auto repair shop then changed their minds and then told repair shop not to cash- then told me there were several "internal mistakes" made by the Plymouth Rock office. Very strange - they should be investigated. I pay my premiums on all my cars on this policy in full when I get the bill.

Disappointed by Plymouth Rock Assurance's Recent Policy Change

I have been a loyal customer of Plymouth Rock Assurance for several years, maintaining my policy in good standing with zero claims and always paying on time. Historically, the company conducted home assessments themselves, but they recently shifted this responsibility to customers as a self-service task. I was not aware of the importance of this new requirement and unfortunately missed completing a self-home assessment.Despite my years of loyalty and spotless claim record, Plymouth Rock chose to drop my coverage due to this oversight. This decision seems to prioritize cost-cutting over customer service and flexibility. It’s disheartening to see how a long-term relationship can be dismissed so quickly over a procedural change that was not properly emphasized to loyal customers. If you're considering Plymouth Rock for your insurance needs, be aware that they might prioritize their bottom line over customer loyalty and flexibility. I am extremely disappointed and now in the process of finding a provider who values their clients and provides clearer communication.

Plymouth Rock Assurance is by far the…

Plymouth Rock Assurance is by far the worst insurance, They treat the insured like trash, I have a collision shop in new jersey, we see it time and time again, we even complained to the regional supervisor Dave in Boston, he is also full of S--t, if you have a claim they will spit and glue you vehicle back together to save money, you will no get them to even look at you vehicle for two weeks, payment will take at least another two weeks, you will no be able to get them on the phone to complain after you paid them good money, please do not used them unless you want a nightmare.

They really know how to take advantage of their customers. The quote I was given and the one I signed up for were so different. I will not go with Plymouth rock unless they're my absolute last hope. They do a poor job of training their customer relations people. Rude and condescending.

Must pay your bill on time or else

Must pay your bill on time, or get hit with late fee 1 minute after midnight on due date. No grace period, just cancellation notice.

Poorly managed

Poorly managed, non existent customer service and a do it yourself attitude towards their customers make this the worst insurance company. No help finding a repair facility and they send you an “E check” so you will need a printer and an banking app to be able to deposit this check.Just try getting someone from that company on the phone, be prepared to leave a message and wait for a return call that never comes.

An insurance company that supports malicious driving

I give this company one star out of five only because I don't know how to give it a NEGATIVE amount of stars.I had your everyday zombie parked in front of me. Green light. He had the right of way. 45 seconds passed. I honked. He still hadn't moved an inch. I did what any driver would do and the only thing I could do to continue. As I was on my way around him, this zombie finally moves forward and crashes into me.Insurance companies are calling me at fault. As if it isn't infuriating enough that this company just carelessly shrugs its shoulders and does nothing to help me obtain justice. This company won't even talk to me and give me any answers. It's been nearly 2 months since the accident and I still have not been given the official conclusion of fault. I can't get any answers from anyone at this company. They don't answer their phones and they don't respond to emails.I find customer service to be quite horrendous across ALL industries right now, so it takes some incredibly bad customer service to shock me, these daysI am absolutely outraged by PRIs customer service, and service in generalI had to repost this review because PRI responded to the original. Told me a manager would like to speak with me about it and provided me a number.I called the number and it was not a manager that answered. I got transferred to the same claims person I spoke with initially. Same carelessness and shoulder shrugging. So you can add wasting my time to the things that PRI has done to me. Along with responding to these reviews as if I am speaking unreasonably. As if, if I would just talk to them about it instead of write these reviews, they would fix it.Don't be deceived by a PRI response. They REALLY do not care. They REALLY are not looking out for you. They are waiting for any chance they get to slap you up with a surcharge and to make you pay deductible."Response from the owner a day agoHi Tim, we appreciate your honest feedback. Our manager would really like to speak with you more regarding this matter. Please reach out to us at (617) 951-1620. We look forward to hearing from you. -KD"KD? Why do you respond this way? I have called that number and the owner does not answer. A low level associate answers and I am ultimately transferred to Douglas Brink. The same person who carelessly ignores the actuality of the accident and thinks it is right for me to be hit with a surcharge and be made to pay deductible.Your company obviously stands up for distracted driving. Your company obviously feels drivers don't owe their attention to the road and that they can drive spitefully forcing someone to go around them and as they are in the process of going around them, they can maliciously drive forward into that driver, and spitefulness and maliciousness wins according to your company. Why do you respond as if that isn't the truth? Why do you want to waste my time and have me call a person who does stand up for the spitefulness and maliciousness and forces me to pay for doing what I was entirely justified to do?You look forward to hearing from, why? So that you can stick it to me and tell me that I should have waited behind this person for however long he felt like blocking my way? To tell me he had a right to maliciously drive forward into me after I waited far more than long enough? To tell me that it is my fault that the front of his vehicle crashed into the side of mine?
