Avoid this company at all costs. The management is on another level, they are toxic especially operation planner Stacey. A dog would get treated with more respect. The office staff are constantly phoning you asking you to work more than your availability. I’ve even had them phoning me up and text messages when your on annual leave. They won’t let you take holidays, even with a months notice, they won’t pay you for the holidays and you can’t carry them over. WOW If this company can rip you off they will. Not to be trusted.
Once worked with RAH.Went off to a great start but failed in the end. Had to back track my pay in which I did get a back pay for the month BUT if you were not on top of things, RAH would have screwed me over big time.
This company says one thing and does totally another. I spoke with Tanya Burnette on 11/12, who told me what the pay was, and we discussed a few other things pertaining to the job. She offered me a position, but said she wanted to have a second interview to go over orientation, etc. I told her that I needed to move back to the area of NC soon due to family illness, but it was contingent upon getting a job in NC. She asked me what timeline I was looking at, and I told her probably 12/13 or 12/15. She said that would be great and we could do orientation then. I called the next day, 11/13, and spoke with a Danielle twice regarding them sending me an offer letter. Danielle asked me what the pay was quoted to me at, and I told her. She said she could send me the offer letter, and that it would be emailed to me through Paradox. I waited over an hour, but no offer letter. Then, I called again and finally spoke with Tanya. She said she was very busy and couldn't talk, and when I asked her about the offer letter that was supposed to have been email by Danielle an hour ago, she told me she didn't offer me a job.....What?????!!!!!???? She said she wanted to have a second interview with me to go over some things first. I asked her why she offered me the job the day before and now she is telling me she didn't. I told her this was NOT very professional of her to treat prospective employees this way. What's wrong with people anymore???? They have no respect, no integrity, and professionalism. What a crock!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I own a business, and I would NEVER treat anyone like that. Maybe that's why she can't keep employees? There are horrible reviews across the board on this company. Please do your homework!
The company and staff are approachable and easy to get along with and open. They are very helpful and willing to listen and always available and flexible. Nice people. Good workers and easy to get along with
Switched from another care provider to Right At Home ACT/QBN for my elderly parents as we needed to upgrade to nursing care for my Dad. Very professional management team and team of qualified nurses and lovely carers. Niesa the Managing Director has gone above and beyond to make sure every care- related and funding-telated question has been answered. She ensures the care hours provided are within my parent’s budget balanced with the types of care needed each day (nursing / personal care / cleaners) . My parents have been able to request their favourite carers and management have made every effort to roster them on as my parents have mild dementia and need familiarity and continuity of care. The care staff that I’ve spoken to have said they are a great company to work for and they look after their staff, which is testament to a good carer agency. Highly recommend Niesa and her hardworking team to anyone looking for a quality home care agency in the ACT Queanbeyan area.
Couldn’t recommend and speak any higher of RAH!! They are such a great and supportive company to work for. They are understanding. Professional and offer progression and support along the way. The office staff are hands on and provide a safe and secure, kind and friendly environment to work on and such lovely and kind team alongside. They provide up to date training and always looking at what they can provide next. If you’re ever looking for a job in the care sector this is the company for you!!
Christine is my carer and she has proved to be a wonderful help. She is caring, hard working, thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. She has brought joy into my life -- and her homemade pesto is sensational. Please pass this message on to her.Ursula Woodhouse
Right At Home Gosford,NSW are an absolutely amazing team ! I thoroughly recommend their services, their staff (administrative and care workers) go above & beyond in their delivery of care/advice for their clients.I cannot thank them enough for all the wonderful care they’ve provided to my elderly aunt.Thank you Right At Home 🙏
I handed my notice in I gave them 4 weeks notice as they requested! I had an email yesterday saying they’ve terminated my employment because I was leaving. Bearing in mind I still had 15 days to work!! I got sent a rota last week for this week and they didn’t even let me do that…They’ve employed new carers and basically there’s was no work for me due to me leaving at the end of this month. And they gave my hours to all the new carers so they let me go. I think this is bang out of order and this work place is awful! I made such a close bond with all of my clients and didn’t even get to say goodbye to any of them. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!
I signed up my sister, an ndis recipient (mental health challengrs, vulnerable person) with the Manly Qld franchise and initially after some teething issues finding right support people things were passable but not great. We are loyal people and knew every place has their own issues - it can be a difficult business - we overlooked constant staff turnover, occasional terrible staff member, office pushing my sister around trying to change specified hours to suit the staff rather than my sister the clients etc. However six years down the track she got an email out of the blue saying all services would be cancelled in 2 weeks if she didn’t agree to them providing much higher hours - they called it “ minimum service hours” which were almost double what she had been having and needed. Essentially bullying my sister to “bleed the system” for services she didn’t need nor want in order to maintain services. So they could make more profit. Sister received more threatening emails and they then they stood her up - a no show stranding her when they did not send service provider to take her to important tutoring appointment - even though I had rung them and negotiated an extension of date to “sign up” so I could contact plan manager to ascertain if she had sufficient budget and make a call about agreeing to their demands. My sister was in tears - I rang the office and the first woman laughed and said my sister had “rung and cancelled the booking” (patently untrue - essentially blaming my sister for their own orchestrated campaign to deny service in order to have vulnerable people sign up to more services or be stranded). The woman sneered at me. I then asked to speak to the woman who I had previously rung several times to get more facts and an extension of time. She spoke over the top of me, was rude arrogant and told more lies - spoke down to me and said essentially that” if I behaved” she would see that my sister got her services but only if we signed up to higher hours by 4pm that day. When I said I needed more time, and that her behaviour was concerning, she then took it upon herself to email my sisters’ plan manager trying to ascertain my sisters ndis budget allowance details and smearing my name in defamatory comments. Appalling conduct and untrustworthy in every respect, we have moved on. Obviously their profits come first, and they are arrogant enough to “sack” their own clients and treat any loyal clients contemptably - even complaints are treated with bullying and slander of anyone standing up to them - all so they can make more profit. Their stance in this experience smacks of arrogance And a callous disregard for clients wellbeing. As a taxpayer I am appalled the government lets firms like this get away with bullying clients to take up services not needed - paid from the public purse. I intend to lodge formal complaints.
I have worked for Right at Home for the past 7 years and have felt valued and supported throughout this time. I have had access to exceptional training opportunities both locally and from our national office which have supported me in the progression of my career and enable me to support my colleagues and clients to the highest possible standards.
This branch, (Padstow and Kogarah) couldn’t organise a chook raffle. This little branch only seems to serve itself. It’s a family operation. One of the youngest members was offered a shift with me but because I cut it down in time from 6 1/2 hours to 3 hours because I needed to train her first.suddenly she was not interested in working for me.This I was told was their duty of care to the Care workers. Now we’re having a dispute over paying for gloves they really are trying to squeeze every penny out of the system that they can.Phones don’t mention phones. Nobody has the same number twice. You now go back to a switchboard that plays their advertisements and considering you’re on the phone when something is gone wrong and you’re about to complain and all you’re hearing down the line with all the music is how well this company Says they’re going to look after you. They are a joke.
I have tried and used most of the age care home support companies. The service suppliers I have evaluated have been just only good, most of them are only showing their own interest and are keen to get your signature as quick as possible. Self-managing your account is difficult as you will have difficulties to get qualified support persons to help you. After a long search, I came across Right at Home ACT Canberra and I was impressed as the professional husband and wife team did understand my needs and produced a very fair and reasonable care plan that miraculously works fine and with ease for me. The administrative support is easy and without hitches. The care support personal is excellent and professionally qualifies to satisfy even the most complicated person as I can be at times. After all experiences I had before, bad, or mediocre, I am happy that I signed up to Right at Home ACT Canberra. I thank the team for their devotion and superb help I have received and can highly recommend the company to every person in need for support. Well done!
Right at Home staff have been helping to look after my stroke ridden husband for the last 10 months . They are a pleasure to work with… always obliging, cheerful, professional and very understanding. We are so pleased to have them as care givers .

Great Company
Naaaaa! Same lockstep requirements for all employees and you will be lied to just to get your warm body in for an interview and then you will find out you are not needed. Work somewhere else. Also if someone u know needs a little help then arrange to get them some, don't EVER let these greedy overpaid button pushers control your heart needs.....
