A good deal on the basic package
I waited six months to write this review, I wanted to live with the PPF and ceramic coating for a while, TL;DR, good value for money and I'm pretty happy. I made a appointment a week in advance and bought the basic 3 year "essential" front end PPF and full ceramic treatment for my 'daily' Acura TLX Type S for $1K, plus $100 up charge to do the side view mirrors and I elected not do the hood because the kit only covered half the length and I did not want a line across the middle, they were happy to honor my request, so $1100 all in. The PPF is not custom at this price point, it is a kit and does not cover everything, only the basic parts of the front end and headlights. In my case, the stock lip spoiler and some of the areas around the bottom valence and center badge (that also acts as the sensor) were not protected by the kit. There were a few tiny bubbles present but they went away after an about a week as promised. I found that one or two of the cut marks around the edges were a little rough but not a big deal. The PPF has a a very slight color shift toward the warm end of spectrum in bright sunlight. So far it's doing its job, no rock chips. The ceramic coating has been excellent, a real game changer. The finish is still slick to the touch and it's very easy to clean, most dirt and road grime comes off with a gentle spray and what does not wipes off easily with a soapy mitt or microfiber towel. The wheels are easier to clean and the water sheets off the windshield like Rain-X but without the weird residue. It's cut my car washing time in half, highly recommend. The only criticism, and this is my fault for not asking or clarifying, is that this is not a "detail" but rather a protective treatment. When I picked up my car the following morning it was still a little wet and there were water spots, etc. Would I bring my M3 here? Yes, but I'd probably opt for one of the more expensive and more complete packages. At those price points I'd probably also cross-shop some of other vendors in town. For me, the "essential" package is a reasonably priced investment in your daily driver and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for basic protection from road debris rock chips, etc., and much easier, much faster car washing experience.
