I am deeply disappointed with this service due to misleading pricing and underwhelming content.I was led to believe the subscription was $0.42/day. However, after paying, I received a receipt indicating a second upcoming payment that more than doubles the advertised price. Furthermore, the 'Basic' material is extremely elementary; anyone with a small experience will find it redundant. To access anything remotely useful, you are forced to pay hundreds of dollars more. I have already requested a full refund.
I am increasing my rating as Shift responded to my review immediately and refunded the subscription amount. The customer service was impeccable.The adverts are misleading and suggest the app contains job opportunities which is does not. I didn’t receive one email or notification from Shift when I signed up, and they have just taken another $39.99 from my account. I have now cancelled my subscription but am upset there was no reminder or correspondence at all to remind me the payment would be taken or any initial confirmation of an account. This just seems like a money grabbing exercise, targeting people who are out of work. Also it sees impossible to contact them to try and resolve this. No contact email or forms anywhere. I used the bot on the app but that is just for career advice.
They charged me and I immediately contacted them for a refund because I still had a day to renew, I never used the service, emailed them to bring a resolution, no reply from them. Its a fraud money making scheme.
I was on the point of backing out, thinking Shift wouldn't help with entrepreneurial careers, but Ally changed my mind. She really listened to me, heard my hopes/plans/conflicts, and is helping me to chart a realistic course that makes sense. I feel heard, supported, motivated, and hopeful for the first time in a long time. Highly recommended!
After receiving this service, I canceled it the same day. It is more focused on helping you figure out which job you want, rather than getting you to that job. The "instructor" I was chatting with never sent a single message; the bot handed me off to them, and I was left on read three to five times over the course of 40 minutes. I won't be using this service at all. Edit. After the initial review, the coach did respond. Turns out even though the chat is there 24/7 and the messages will show "read", a coach isn't there except for Monday through Wednesday during hours. The refund policy was okay, but I would like to see a dedicated section on the site to initiate this process, rather than having to email support and wait for a response. This would also reduce their workload. So far, I've seen improvement, and I will update as I go.
The apps is not working at all. But upfront paid $$$
HiMy name is Mansi. I am struggling in finding out a better job for me. Whenever, I had interviews, the manager used to tell me that something is missing in my resume. They are looking for something unique. Then, I contacted Shift careers. Honestly, they made one of the best resume for me. And, I really felt happiness after reading my skills and experience. Now, I will post a review once I get a better job. Let’s hope for the best!
I only had one session with Ally, but she was great and is so supportive throughout what is a really challenging process in applying and interviewing for jobs. I give her 5 stars as a coach, but I didn't really spend too much time on the Shift platform. Some of the tools were helpful, and Ally also provided me with helpful resources. I highly recommend Ally as a coach to anyone looking for guidance in their career path.
This is the first time I have utilized the services of a career/resume service. However; I am pleased that I did. Ally worked with me. She is very skilled and knowledgeable. Having an employment gap, Ally brought many useful tips to my arsenal. Most that I had not even considered. She also assisted me with updating my LinkedIn profile, which had me stumped for weeks as to how to update it. She has exceptional customer service skills and answered emails quickly. Very pleased with the Shift service!
It was confusing. When i was choosing plan it states i will get coach support resume support but instead after getting it way change i explain i need help in getting a job not which career to choose and all also when i click on chat button to chat with an expert no one responding and seems like a scam.
Worthless product with a semi-predatory UX - generic advice, no actual job listings, no obvious way to cancel in the app, and their customer service is barely there. When they didn’t respond for several days, I had to block my credit card so that they wouldn’t charge me.
The career test helped me reflect on my strengths, though some of the suggestions felt a bit too broad.
Shift definitely gave me a new perspective on my career direction. Some of the recommendations felt a bit generic at first, but once I spent more time on the platform, the insights became more useful.
For the first time in forever, i have hope that i will get the job of my dreams.

I’m not even someone who usually leaves reviews, but this actually helped me land a job interview in under two weeks!What I love is that everything’s in one place - helpful templates, solid guides, even tests that made me rethink how I talk about myself professionally. It really takes the pressure off. Highly recommended!
I started using Shift after I graduated. The product is full of colorful, easy-to-understand content. I appreciated this approach of "making things easy for me". Customer support was very nice and cooperative. Generally in my opinion worth a buk. Give it a try!
This tool is helpful when job hunting - it's effective, easy to use, and has an intuitive user experience. I only canceled since I found a job.
I would recommend the platform for its ease in use. I found the much needed guidance that helped me land more interviews, and enjoy their career tests so much.
