China Cabinet - poor packaging and breakage
I paid to have a China cabinet and fragile glass items shipped across the country. When the China cabinet arrived at my house, it had been crated with the bare wood and glass against a wood shipping container, with no protective barrier. The cabinet was on its side. The glass shelves had been removed and crated separately, which was good, but the pegs that held the shelves were left loose in a mostly glass cabinet. When the delivery team shifted the cabinet from its side to right side up, all the metal pegs clattered down the inside of the cabinet. The delivery team did not seem thrilled to have to deal with the poor packaging and placement.There were three cardboard boxes holding the items from the China cabinet. Upon delivery, the boxes were noticeably crushed and damaged at the seams. One box was broken open completely. Fragile glass items had been inadequately wrapped and the items had too much room to shift in the boxes. Some glass items were left loose inside other glass items, without being wrapped at all. As a result, many items were broken. The boxes themselves were not labeled as fragile and the delivery team had no idea there were breakable items in the boxes until they heard glass rattling around. Unpacking boxes full of shards of broken glass was unpleasant, to say the least.

They lost my chair that I dropped off a month ago and paid $640 for them to ship. They tried to deliver the wrong item two weeks ago and I continue to call them, I’ve emailed several people, I even filled out the survey from ‘the president of the company’ trying to g to get someone to care: no one ever calls me back, despite being promised every time I call that someone who can help will call that day. I’ve been emailed a couple of times back saying, ‘they are investigating and will get back to me’, and then no one follows up on anyway. I’m desperate to find a phone number or a way to get a hold of someone who will actually call me back or care at all. Also absolutely insulting that after this long they haven’t even offered me a refund, even though they lost my property and failed to provide the service I was charged for. They won’t even give me a tracking number. At this point it is just theft. Shame on them. No one there cares at all either.

It should be illegal what they do. Long story short, I was originally quoted $2k for a move, once they had my things at their warehouse they told me it would be $4k, and then once they had all of my stuff packed up, they came back told me it would be $8k. FOUR TIMES THE ORIGINAL QUOTE. They Oh and guess how much it would be for me to come pick up my stuff and not have them ship it? $2k!!! What an absolute scam. I understand the first Requote, but they missed the weight for the second quote by 2k lbs. You’re supposed to be professionals.

This might be the WORST moving experience I have ever had in my life. If I could put zero stars I would. Firstly, they never answered my calls while the shipping was underway. They lied about when they would contact me regarding my move. The move took longer than expected. The company claims that they make moving easier. However, all the company did was increase the number of problems throughout the move. To anyone who chooses to use this service… good luck as you are about to undergo the worst experience of your life.

I've paid $13400 for a $5000 delivery…
I've paid $13400 for a $5000 to Advance Transport Services delivery to my door. In Apple gift cards as they wouldn't let me do a bank transfer now they are demanding another $3000 . The man 8m sending all this money too is named Stephen Burns. Says he's a manager in Washington. The packages are in Brisbane Australia. I have received 1 invoice for $5000. He refuses to give me any invoices for any other payments I've made. Or my husbands packages . I am a 73 year old pensioner sending him my whole pension every fortnight

From start to finish ShipSmart impressed me with their customer service, whether by phone, text, or in person. I had only one week to move my mother’s possessions from her apartment into a long-term care facility, which meant extreme downsizing. Further complicating matters was that she lives in Canada (Toronto) and I wanted to make sure that some family heirlooms remained in the family and delivered to where I lived in the USA (Tampa). I did stress about how to get them down to the US, as I flew up to Toronto and was without a vehicle while there. The people I interacted with at ShipSmart were so accommodating and helpful, as I am not the most technologically savvy and an international shipment further complicated matters, what with customs declarations, etc. When the shipment arrived to my home, the packing was done with such care; I could tell that much thought went into how best to transport the furniture without inflicting any damage. I am most pleased to have used them and would definitely recommend their company and services.

Once the ball got rolling the service was excellent! Everything happened according to how it was explained from pickup to delivery! The cross country delivery even happened ahead of schedule. Would definitely use their services again. This particular service was to ship a bed.

This review reflects an initially frustrating experience that was ultimately resolved with clear communication and dedicated customer service.We shipped five items using Ship Smart's white-glove service.Initially, we received an estimate, and my sister sent the five items. However, after shipping, we were informed of a significant price increase due to the option of crating. This unexpected adjustment felt unfair and left me questioning the transparency of the process.Despite our dissatisfaction, we decided to proceed. The items arrived in excellent condition, and the moving company outsourced by Ship Smart handled the delivery well. However, upon arrival, the movers informed me that the white-glove service did not include assembly. While they generously offered to assemble the items for free, I declined, as it was not part of what we paid for. This was disappointing, as I expected assembly to be included given the premium price of the white-glove service.Ship Smart’s customer service team, however, made a significant effort to address the issue. Ana Mayer, the agent who handled our concerns, provided an excellent explanation of the miscommunication and worked diligently to resolve the matter. Her professionalism and clear communication went above and beyond, ensuring the situation was clarified to my satisfaction. Ship Smart was extremely responsive. Their pricing was clear and fair. Everyone I dealt with along the line kept their word. When I needed the chair picked up sooner than they had offered, they easily found a date and time that worked for me. I also had them crate my chair for protection and it arrived safe and sound

Absolutely Miserable Service - Only recommend to your enemies!
Absolutely miserable service. Paid for service up front and was assured they'd take care of getting an item from point A to point B.They increased prices halfway--basically, "if you want this delivered, pay us more money!" Additionally, they told me that we needed to hire ADDITIONAL customs brokering services--they only told us this after shipping the item, once the item was at the border--again, asking for more money to complete this. I talked to a customs broker who assured us their service was not necessary and we should be able to get the item through without any additional fees or permits.ShipSmart refused to take accountability and I spent hours on the phone with customs brokers, customs themselves, and ShipSmart just trying to get a piece of art I purchased online from Canada to the USA. They really just charged us obscene amounts of money, upping the ante at every opportunity, and at the end of the day caused more problems than solutions. I would have been better off to take time off work, drive to Canada, and drive back myself. I own a business in the USA, and frankly cannot believe that there are any businesses that operate like this one with such poor service and entirely lacking responsibility. Truly worse than worthless.Oh, and all of this took several months--I paid them more than $2600 USD over a month ago and STILL have not received the product!!!!!

Perfect for my needs of partial load
Ship Smart was perfect for my needs of shipping a partial load cross-country. Very personal service unlike the big shippers. I also had to add in an additional piece of furniture after the packers had left. They were very responsive and accommodating.
