Do not join Solidarity go elsewhere anywhere but Solidarity .
Do not , I repeat do not join this Healthshare , you will be on 3 way calls , every month, when you get Final , Due now bills . I have been a paying member since March 2021, This organization claims to be of Catholic faith based. They are a bunch of scammers, liars, and fraudsters . I have bills dated back more than Two years old. I have been denied medical care, unless I pay in cash for the appointments and services done . I genuinely like my providers, but that aren’t getting paid. I know need to find a Cardiologist, Urologist, and Primary care Dr , due to All three of these doctors are with same group. I don’t think God intended to be used by theses scammers, my $447 is deducted from my credit card each month, what the $$$$ are they doing with all our money. I hope these scammers gets what’s coming to them. I have over $25k in bills that need to be paid.

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Solidarity HealthShare. In my experience, I was unable to find doctors who accepted this health share. Several providers I contacted said they had never heard of it. This made it extremely difficult to use the coverage.Additionally, there is a 60-day waiting period before you can use the coverage after enrollment, and cancellation requires a 30-day advance notice. In practice, this means members may pay for several months without being able to fully use the benefits.I attempted to cancel my membership in mid-February for a March 1, 2026 termination date, but I was told that was not allowed. As a result, I paid for 14 months and did not receive the value I expected.Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to carefully review all terms and conditions before enrolling.

It takes them 2 years to reimburse you…
It takes them 2 years to reimburse you for medical costs you pay to your provider. They will never tell you a timeline for when your bill, which has been "approved" by them, will get reimbursed. It is extremely frustrating to work with them. The only plus side is that they do pay for your prescriptions.

UNACCOUNTABLE - DOESN'T PAY ELIGIBLE BILLS
This is an unethical, opaque, unaccountable ponzi scheme company. Here is a direct quote from Solidarity in an email exchange : " Solidarity cannot guarantee payment for every submitted need, as sharing depends on the available contributions from Members." It appears they have no P & L requirement and God knows what they do with all their monthly membership fees.

Bills go unpaid - TOTAL SCAM
Bills go unpaid until collections agencies start calling. On the day of a heart test I was informed that Solidarity had "broken off" negotiations with my provider and left me with a $5000 payment when I had let Solidarity know of the situation several weeks in advance. I could go on, but it is 2025 and I still have a bill from 2019 that is unpaid by them. RUN - DO NOT JOIN SOLIDARITY.

VERY DISSATISFIED with Solidarity…
VERY DISSATISFIED with Solidarity HealthShare! LOOK AT OTHER OPTIONS! Reimbursement to healthcare providers is VERY slow as are reimbursements to myself which I paid out of pocket (Over $15,000), because the hospital threatened to send me to collections. We have some bills that are almost 2 years old and our have not been paid ("Shared") to our physician. Our physician agreed to accept Solidarity as he is a very kind Christian, and I feel bad that he has not been paid for his services. It is no wonder that many physicians and hospitals are not willing to be preferred providers, which limits where one can go for service through Solidarity HealthShare. I spoke with Judy today and she said there is no way to tell when our physician will be paid or when we will be reimbursed. When I signed up for Solidarity HealthShare, the representative said that we were the type of member they were looking for, one that rarely saw the doctor and were very healthy. Unfortunately, I had to go to the emergency room and receive treatment, and this is how their customers are treated. It sounds like a great concept, but they need more members to help pay for the bills but cannot get more members because of the lack of preferred providers and hospitals willing to accept the SLOOOOW payment. We have been members since January 2018 and I would really like to change to another Christian Healthshare plan or a private plan, but Solidarity stated that if I left the plan, the chances of me being reimbursed my $15,000 would be virtually zero. VERY DISSATISFIED!!! I wish I had read the reviews before we signed up with them! :(

This is a great organization
This is a great organization. Very well organized and very helpful in making sure you know everything you need to know. They are transparent and reasonable.

I wish I could give a rating less than zero!
We were members of Solidarity for 14 months. The whole time we were with them was painful. They eventually admitted they were suffering from a large backlog. When we left them at the end of 2024 we still had a large number of bills that had been processed, but not shared. We thought that wouldn't be a problem, but we were wrong. They now claim that because we are no longer active, we have to be the lowest priority. We have multiple collection agencies coming after us. We made a very bad decision when we joined them.

They are not sharing healthcare costs
They are not sharing healthcare costs in a timely manner as there reps have said repeatedly would happen. I have called 12 to 15 times for one recurring bill with it is now close to 2 years that my sharing expense was first submitted and have now been sent to collections. The rep Andrew told me that they have no time frame when this will be paid yet advised me to not to pay out of my own pocket even though I will now have harrassing collection calls and notices. I also mentioned that there will be increased charges now with late interest charges and asked him who will have to pay for that with no answer given. When I mentioned that it is unaccepatable for Solidarity to not give any timeframe whatsoever he kept reiterating there is no guarantee of when anything will be paid, but I stated that they are misleading people in leading us to believe that this is a viable alternative to regular health insurance, which he said is never implied. Yet this is from Solidarity's website where they do in fact compare it to traditional health insurance: " "CompetitivePricing On average, a Solidarity Membership is 6% more affordable than other healthcare sharing ministries, and over 60% more affordable than a traditional health insurance policy.Rising healthcare costs have inflicted a burden on many families across our country. That's why Solidarity HealthShare offers a refreshingly affordable alternative. With our customizable programs, you have the freedom to choose the Membership that suits your unique needs. Say goodbye to sky-high premiums and hello to budget-friendly options that don't compromise on quality. Call our Membership Development team today .... to learn which program that will work best for you!" To me this is a bait and switch type of fraud.

Solidarity won't reimbure you
Solidarity wouldn't reimburse us for our third kid's delivery because I didn't file a pre-birth notification or whatever, even though I didn't know that I needed to do that.

If ZERO stars was an option, I'd pick that!!
If ZERO stars was an option, that's what I'd give them! A year and a half after the accident, our bills are unpaid and in collection. They say they are now negotiated down with the provider, but can't give a timeline for paying them! They keep members by not promising to pay them if you drop membership, even though we've been members for years and when the accident happened. How do they keep going? I'll never know!Samaritan Ministries is fantastic! Try that!!! They pay bills within 2 months.

Can't believe they have a score as high…
Can't believe they have a score as high as 2.1. Lowest you can give is 1 but would prefer zero. Please know that if you have a service done that they will take a year and a half to two years to pay a claim. When you call and ask when a claim will be paid they will not tell you. Your bills will likely go to collections so be prepared for that.

Caution Before Joining
Be mindful that many of the five-star reviews may come from individuals with personal ties to the CEO. My experience with this company was disappointing, especially for anyone with health concerns or family obligations. SHS is not designed to support people who occasionally get sick or need flexibility for non-preventative healthcare needs. While the company’s vision is admirable and rooted in values that CLAIM to be aligned with religious principles, the actual treatment of members often falls short of those ideals. The culture can feel dismissive and unsupportive, particularly if you require compassion or reasonable accommodations.I cannot recommend SHS in its current stage of development. The foundation has potential, but the execution and leadership priorities need serious reflection and improvement before it can become a truly nurturing or sustainable environment.

One star is generous.
I'd give a ZERO if I could because that's how much I've received from Solidarity since I became a member almost 2 years ago. Don't do this. I wanted so badly to believe this was an awesome alternative to traditional insurance after my husband retired. I'm healthy and don't see a doctor often but even for the bloodwork for an annual check up, they didn't pay, saying they're backlogged. Well, I paid every month but they haven't. Total waste of money and very grateful that I am healthy and didn't have a medical catastrophe while on the program. I stopped my payments today and will go with marketplace insurance.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. WARNING!!!! - SAVE YOUR FAMILY!!!I strongly warn against using this company—paying out of pocket is far better. They take your money and will strain your family financially. Our son was born in May of 2023 at an exceptional hospital that’s been incredibly patient (thank God), working with us compassionately. But Solidarity lies repeatedly, stringing us along. Every call, they read a script, feigning shock about unpaid maternity bills, saying, “This should’ve been paid sooner; I’ll escalate it.” We’ve heard this countless times with no action. We’ve also had to constantly audit their work because multiple bills were processed incorrectly—if my wife hadn’t reviewed them, we would’ve received improper annual shared amounts. When I asked if our two-year-old's hospital bills would be paid if we switched to another company to meet our healthcare needs promptly, they said our bills would lose priority since only active members are prioritized. The supervisor explicitly said we’d lose our place in line for these two-year-overdue bills and have no priority if we left—despite us faithfully paying every monthly bill on time and meeting our annual unshared amount the year our son was born. We have many many bills that are 2 years old!! Worse, they belittled us, with the supervisor saying our $20,000 bill “isn’t that big” and that “there’s a lot more people with bigger bills than yours. I know that may be hard for you to understand,” as they told my wife today on the phone. Their member care team, including the supervisor, lied about prior conversations and stalled to cover up the issue. Their “Christian” label is a shameful ploy—exploiting God’s name to gain trust is evil. I’m heartbroken and desperate, unsure of any legal path forward. This is a burden to our small community hospital and extremely painful for my family. Please avoid them at all costs.

This is a scam
This is a scam. I have heard story after story of how they have ripped families off. Of course I didn't seek out reviews until they ripped off my family so bad. They owed us $6,000 but one lady they owed $45,000. We pre-approved eye surgery 2 x's and the paid zero. 2 years of bills they kept saying we're behind.

Catholic Healthshare That Can’t Pay Medical Bills on Time
I have been a Solidarity member in good standing since 2019. Shortly after I joined Solidarity, I realized that claims are left unpaid for an indefinite amount of time. After almost 6 years of being with Solidarity, I have come to the point that I need to leave to do what is best for my families well-being. For the past two years, I only continue to stay with Solidarity in the hopes that my 2023 medical bills will be paid. I ordered my wife to not schedule any wellness checks in 2024 due to the fact that our 2023 medical bills were still left unpaid. The reason why I did this is because if it takes many years for a claim to be paid through Solidarity, every year we incur a bill will be years longer. I will need to stay as an active member to allow my bills to be a priority for Solidarity. I have shared in previous reviews that although I am a member of good standing since 2019, I am trying to find a way out but only after my past bills are paid off. Unfortunately, I cannot jeopardize my family’s well being, both physically & financially anymore and will be leaving soon. I have asked Solidarity to pay for our 2023 bills before I exit (approximately March 1, 2025), but they could not guarantee this. I appreciate their kind, Customer Service, but the lack of answers when a bill will be paid overshadows how they treat customers. What good is kind Customer Service if you provide a product that does not provide QUALITY service. I suggest Solidarity be honest to their consumers from the get go and let them know bills can go unpaid for more than 18+ months and can also force providers to forward unpaid bills to collections. That way, consumers know the consequences of joining Solidarity. NOTE: If a Solidarity representative tries to reach me after reading this review, please make sure your have a date in mind when our 2023 unpaid bills with Solidarity will be paid,

outstand bills are 14 minths old
I have bills from an accident in October 2023, it's now December 2024 and all the help desk can tell me is "it's in process, will be in a future batch". Solidarity is TERRIBLE at paying these bills on time.

What Solidarity does to families is a sin
Solidarity is very astute to hire people on the front end to "sell" their healthshare. They sell catholic values and a generalized sense you are becoming part of a family and they explain in detail the share guidelines. They also offer a share for approved non- conventional therapies which is why I joined. I believed in their mission. In the 4 years I was a member and paid $20k into the program, they have actually paid out of solidarities funds $600. This is the game.... After you meet your share out of pocket "deductible" You or the facility calls to see if the procedure is a "covered expense". If they say yes, then you have the procedure with hospital or whomever, or tests done. What Solidarity did in my case is say a $1,050 procedure is "REPRICED" to $250.00. Now they didn't pay the facility a dime. They just repriced and the balance they say is yours. Then the facility contacts me after 60 days and says you owe us $1050. I tell them my Healthshare is paying because it was approved for share. But the facility does not accept the $250 price. Then the unpaid bill, sits in your portal unpaid. And the Hospital or doctors office starts emailing, calling, and texting for payment. Then you call Solidarity and tell them you are getting calls, and when will they pay? They tell you, they WILL pay but they cannot give you a date. So now it's the 6th month mark, or more and this game continues over and over. OR, they tell you to resubmit the bills and when you do from 6 months or a year ago, the clock starts again from the beginning.. They make you feel that you have not submitted something, or there are software updates or some excuse. These workers are doing the bidding of the top management. They need to quit. They become part of the deception. These are suppose to be Catholic Christian executives but who are deceiving the people of God. What they do is a grave sin. They have ruined families credit, placed great stress on working families who are trying to live out the gospel mission and they are not only being treated unfairly, they are being defrauded. Go to another Christian Healthshare like Curo, where you write a check directly to those you help. Solidarity does not manage your funds well and keeps it, promising to pay, and do not. Although they have a new Legal Statement posted about no obligation to pay, who in their right mind with children will give monies to a company with a rouse to help share your covered expenses, and do not. Some folks credit is so bad, they cannot even buy a car. I pray for their conversion and also all those hurt by those who in authority who are not fixing this. Why aren't church leaders warning Catholics to beware. This constant apathy in appalling! Bad fruit...

The absence of helpful…
This company fails to provide clear explanations, timely payments or any payments at all. If they do decide to pay it will be at a remarkable fraction of what was billed even after a self pay discount. There explanation of sharing (EOS) really explain nothing and are just very confusing to read. We have only received a $34 check for reimbursement on one bill from Feb 2023. I have far greater and older bills that have not been paid or reimbursed from October 2022. I paid that upfront. My labor and delivery bill from April 2023 has not been paid and is in collections. As a company that aligns with a Catholic viewpoint and regularly sends out newsletters of pro life actions and so on they have failed to make families be at ease financially.
