MULTIPLE T-14 Acceptances by Mid-Cycle
As a first-generation student entering the 2025 application cycle, I came into this process with so much self-doubt and anxiety. In particular, as a minority, I was concerned the contentiousness around DEI and affirmative action would render my stats inadequate and that my application materials would never be enough. I applied to a wide variety of law schools, nearly blanketing the T14. While I can't say my own tenacity did not play a part in my success so far, Spivey Consulting, particularly Spivey Consultant Michael Burns, provided me with more insight than I could have ever found on my own on how to succeed in such a competitive cycle. I truly feel the resources Spivey offered were instrumental to knowing how I could be the most strategic in leveraging who I really am outside of my statistics to law schools. With it only being the middle of the cycle, I have already been accepted to NYU, Northwestern, UCLA, and Vanderbilt. Moreover, I have also completed interviews with UChicago, Yale, and Harvard.The opportunity to work with Spivey, specifically within the Spivey Pro Bono Program, embodies the difference between breaking generational curses for someone like me. Spivey has not only provided me with confidence in myself and the story I carry, but a little bit more faith in society to make the legal field more equitable.

Great Cycle with Paula!

I cannot speak highly enough of Spivey, and especially my consultant Tom Robinson. Every single worry I had about the daunting process of law school admissions was quelled with knowledge, experience, and emotional support. I had initially began to work with Tom when I applied to my university's early assurance program. Even though I did not receive a favorable result, we still intended to work towards a positive outcome when applying regular decision the following fall. Tom was encouraging but also kept my expectations realistic, as for some law schools my GPA and LSAT were below medians. Nevertheless, he was committed to ensuring I presented the absolute best version of myself in my essays, resume, and overall application package. A Successful 7 months with Tom
This was most definitely an amazing experience. Working with Tom was so much fun and of course, also productive. Not only is he an amazing writer and knows how to tailor essays to perfection for law school, but he is also great at brainstorming ideas with you. From the beginning of my law school application process, I knew that getting accepted into the T-14 would be an uphill battle. My GPA was below the 25th percentile at every school I applied to. My undergraduate application essays were mediocre at best - I had only gotten into one school. I had gotten a great LSAT score, but I needed to show law schools that I wasn't just good at taking tests. Like many super-splitters, I needed to provide substance to my application without coming off as a braggadocious automaton.When I reached out to Spivey Consulting, they connected me with Nick Everdell. Nick has experience at the highest echelon of law school admissions - Columbia & Yale. This experience is evident in both his advice and his work ethic. Just an example: Nick and I worked on my personal statement for two months straight until we got it right - lots of other admissions companies would try to cycle you through as fast as possible. Nick understood that quality, authentic, and enjoyable essays are oftentimes the difference between acceptance and rejection.My results for the historically difficult 2024-2025 law school admissions cycle are as follows:• Four T-14 law school acceptances;• Received over $1.1 million in total merit scholarships;• And enrolled with a significant scholarship at the #1 ranked public law school in the country (UVA).I equate Spivey Consulting to hiring a lawyer during a trial. Of course, you could always represent yourself in front of the judge (or admissions committee), but if you can swing good counsel, you should do it. Phenomenal Experience
I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end with my consultant, Hannah Song. Hannah was instrumental in helping to develop a cohesive story while always ensuring the essays produced maintained my personal voice and style. As an older applicant, I was apprehensive and unsure how to navigate the application process. Hannah's expertise and deadlines greatly reduced my stress and made the mountain of work manageable and exciting. Throughout the process she was a tremendous sounding board and went out of her way to accommodate my schedule whenever needed. I would recommend Spivey to anyone who feels they could benefit from very structured help. Even if it might feel a bit unnatural at times to work with a consultant, especially if you're not used to something like this, remember that they're bringing the insights and perspective of an admissions officer and can help you avoid the pitfalls that you might fall into from not being sufficiently able to put yourself in the shoes of an admissions officer. If you're a more intuitive person, it might really serve you well to avail yourself of Spivey's data-driven approach as a supplement to ensure the best outcome.
