I have just scratched the surface of the course content, but the first & second module on Storytelling and script writing are already having huge impact. I have never seen such in-depth learning videos around videography and storytelling. Every video has a clear structure, an intro, chapters and a summary, all paired with smooth and easy-to-follow animations.The content itself is so on point, that when I first watched the video on "Writers Block" I had Niklas describe my problems 1:1, almost as he was standing right next to me that day and following every move! In the recent years I tried many online courses, and the Story Hero Academy is not comparable to anything else I tested. The course give detailed information about everything you need to know about storytelling and videography. Some lessons are targeted at beginners while there is always something for experts to learn.It opened my eyes so I can see stories where I used to see just topics.The Community is even more useful. The quality, value and knowledge you get from this Academy are hard to describe. It is just insanely good.I have taken many online courses about filmmaking, but this is something different. Story-Hero academy gives you step-by-step frameworks to follow, so you can bring your ideas into a final video with depth.You have to study and stay focused while learning. I've done all the courses and communities: Full time filmmaker, tomorrow's filmmakers, creator passport, time to build, content creators, and many that aren't in the world of cameras like Fitness, finance and business. This is by far the best. Period. In almost every single way. The content is MASSIVE (Which many courses don't do under the guise that it won't help you as much on your road) - this ignores that and puts in the work. You have everything you could possibly need. There's literally no questions that aren't answered and should you need them, the community is there. Speaking of which, out of all the communities I've joined, this is the only one that feels like an actual community. Usually its just a massive QnA block. But here I've seen people make connections, they hook you up with accountability partners, help you one on one and in group calls that actually give you the space to say your piece. Personally, outside of them facilitating, within only 3 days of joining I had connected with a filmmaker halfway across the world and now we're doing weekly calls to help each other stay on track with our work and be a support system to each other's goals and dreams. I can say with confidence in every other community, they feel like competition rather than community. Not the case here. Worth EVERY penny. One thing that definitely stood out to me was the staff's effort in making a quality product. I know the business model usually. Most Quarterly cohort products launch publically, a beta product that doesn't take much effort, maybe through live calls, and use feedback to iterate over time. Usually its a very small product that isn't very useful and the only value is in the group calls. Here, they spent YEARS developing a quality product before they even announced it. They worked privately in beta groups to ensure quality and put forth every possible step to make sure that if I entered this platform, I will have gotten their all. They certainly left nothing on the field. I truly hope if you're on the fence that you hear me say, as someone who's tried them all, this has finally been the one I've been looking for.
