negative experience
It was possibly the worst move i have experienced in 39 years and 10 total relocations. . The weight was 16% above what they had quoted which meant our payment increased. we were charged $750 for “shuttle” which was never mentioned in the quote. They sent a large crew to the house and they were difficult to control packing things they should not have touched and doing the packing in such a way that increased number of boxes resulitng in more extra weight and volume. in our previous move we had 130 items and with Suddath it resulted in 170 in spite of the fact thst we had less personal effects. Also . in spite of the fact that we had an agreement to store our things in USA fo a month Suddath went ahead and despatched it on the ship without telling us. At the destination their agent was totally passive in resolving a system problem with the government which resulted in almost $2000 in customs charges. When the shopment arrived in our apt there were multiple boxes without identifying inventory numbers and some boxes had been rearranged into larger boxes. I hope others will have a better experience.
