This company has helped my company expand in all kinds of ways.
Always response to concerns and needs. Always patient and courteous.
Sugo are always great at releasing my songs, the staff are always friendly and polite and I can't recommend them enough.
I’ve worked with Sugo Music Group for several years, and my experience has been consistently positive. From day one, their team was clear about contract terms, distribution timelines, and what services were (and weren’t) included. In an industry where communication can be vague, I’ve appreciated their responsiveness and transparency—every question I’ve had about licensing, publishing, or royalties has been answered quickly and thoroughly. My music has been placed on all the major streaming platforms and in international markets I wouldn’t have reached on my own. They’ve also helped ensure my publishing rights are properly registered and protected, which is essential for long-term royalty collection.Sugo is not a “magic button” for instant fame—they operate like a real business partner: you get out what you put in. They provide the tools, distribution, and admin support so I can focus on creating and promoting my music. For independent artists serious about their careers, they’re a reliable ally.
I’ve had a fantastic experience with Sugo Music Group—from start to finish, they’ve been professional, responsive, and genuinely supportive of my music journey. Their customer service goes above and beyond. Anytime I had a question about licensing, royalties, or distribution channels, I received quick and clear answers. It’s rare these days to find a team that combines industry expertise with a personal touch. My music is distributed to all the top platforms. Not sure about this surge of negative reviews because their service is the real deal IMO.
I have been working with Sugo Music Distribution for over a year now. I have to say the team is stellar, they have helped me get my music out all over the world and secured publishing to protect my works. I highly recommend them.
As an artist it's important to have the support of a great distributor to get my works in the right places and offer assistance when needed. Sugo Music Group has been incredibly helpful is offering insights on how I can promote my own music to consumers and in assistance in seeking licensing opportunities for my work. It's a relationship I've appreciated for almost a decade and look forward to the continued relationship with this company.
My name is Robert Lee Chaffee. I’ve been signed to Sugo music group since 2013. I am a singer songwriter. I’ve been extremely happy with all the wonderful things they’ve done for me. I get my royalty checks on time every three months with a description of where people around the world are enjoying my music. They handle my distribution around the world, but they also take care of licensing and publishing. I find the staff at Sugo very professional and fourth right. Their advice to me, helping me navigate this very competitive industry, has always been right on the money. I find their customer service and professionalism, exceeds my expectations and the industry standards.I’m baffled that people have been leaving negative reviews about Sugo music group. My impression of the people that are leaving these disgruntled reviews is, that they wanna be recording artists but they aren’t meeting industry standards for professional recording. Perhaps Sugo caught them stealing from real artists. I am very GRATEFUL and feel Blessed to be a recording artist/singer songwriter in the Sugo Music Group. BTW, I haven’t seen any negative reviews from my colleagues and peers that also have songs with Sugo. A-listers like Willie Nelson.Sincerely, Robert Lee Chaffee. PS, Fight against the enemy of Love and Truth and change our world for the better!
They closed my account for no reason, and over 1500$ was in my account, and now my money is gone from them, and they don't give me my money They closed my account when earning time was so close
This is a scam I wasted a lot of time on. I distributed 23 releases with them, they blocked the artwork of ab024 which is Deepest Top, (I actually updated the coverart adding fonts to it)... Now they deleted my entire catalogue! I never heard from them, I have 1.36$ on my last report... Beware, this is a fraud
Total scam, they remove your albums and block you and take all money to theirselfs, and the removal reason is that they dont like your music Edit: I see their reply, and no thats not true. anyway I see you guys buys "5 star comments" for your pathetic Trustpilot rating score. That shows how honest company that you are
Been with them for about a year, had 3 albums, 1 EP and a few other songs with them. But a few weeks ago they removed all my music and never paid me without any excuse, best they could say is "industry changes". Do not trust them.
Taken down 15 songs without any notice
I have been with them for about four years, and I had around forty songs online. Then, I found out that all of my releases were taken down without notifying me. After I contacted support, they came up with some lies about changes in the music industry, and then support turned to its "no answer policy" again. They have never paid me a single cent in royalties. For example, one of my songs was put under a YouTube video; when I click on 'more' under the song, it shows El Grande Music Publishing (which is Sugo) and BMI. The video has over ten thousand streams, and my balance in my Sugo Music account has never gone over eight dollars in all these years, so it is obvious that there is something wrong. To keep it short: there is nothing you can do. They keep your money, they take down your whole catalog, and they don't answer support. They don't care about you, and the CEO, Daniel L., doesn't even use his own service for his music. He uses The Orchard instead. Think about it."
I honestly wouldn’t recommend Sugo Music Group. They advertise free distribution and publishing, but when you actually need them to do something, they don’t follow through. I asked them to take down my song, and they said they only do that at the end of the term. My song hasn’t even made any revenue yet, and I’ve done all the work—so why the hell are they acting like they own it? Feels like a scam, honestly. Also, they push you to upgrade to an exclusive license just to get distribution, but they don’t promote you at all. I’ve seen other artists get promoted on Facebook, but not once did Sugo help me get any exposure. It’s pretty frustrating when you’re doing all the work, and they don’t deliver on their end.To make it worse, they take 70/30 on royalties and 50/50 on publishing and UGC, while platforms like DistroKid and UnitedMasters give you 100% royalties. That’s a huge difference when you’re out here hustling to get your music out there. And the cherry on top? The CEO doesn’t even use his own platform—he’s using The Orchard instead. That should tell you everything you need to know about how much they actually care about their artists. There are much better platforms out there like DistroKid or UnitedMasters. They actually care about their artists, give you all your royalties, and deliver on their promises. Don’t waste your time with Sugo Music Group—you’re better off elsewhere.
I uploaded 14 songs to SUGO on a None Exclusive agreement.I waited three weeks for them to distribute my songs but nothing was done to distribute my music.I wrote and asked them why my songs were not being distributed and they replied that i must sign an Exclusive contract.I then wrote and asked them to remove my songs and delete my account, the responded claiming i was under an exclusive contract for two years, even though i never agreed to this. They are a Rip Off, A Scam and i strongly recommend you give them a wide berth, DO NOT USE THAT SERVICE.
I registered my catalog many years ago , and after, I gave another chance ,when they renewed their website . I never got a sync opp from them. I never got a cent from them . I have 155 cover songs and 45 originals. My music is listened Worldwide. Do not waste your time with them , go elswhere, where you are appreciated .
I was looking for a publisher for my music I write a lot of songs and distribute a lot of it as well for multiple artist profiles. originally I was using Distrokid but I had an incident occur with them and lost everythingin my distrovault. I was also looking into the different revenue streams that artists can gain and wished to get all i could be owed as a artist. Sugo claimed to promote their artists help you get sync licensing and they act as your publisher giving you that extra Revenue stream. I was impressed when in the beginning it was someone from sugo music group called me on the phone well emails me first and then called me on the phone and had a long conversation with me telling me all about all the marvelous things they offer and could do and wanted to get to know me and what I do and see how they could help me.. I believed it. Well I started a label and I created another artist profile where I hired vocalists to cover my music for an award show where I'm a nominee in 4 categories. We created an album I went to Sugo to release this album well two weeks pass I start checking platforms and my music was everywhere but social media platforms the whole album was gone missing artist name didn't exist in any library. I emailed them and asked if there was a problem in the distribution side of things because it never hit social media. They claimed that Instagram tiktok Facebook Twitter had decided to decline my music with no reason. I contacted meta asking them about the situation.... They claimed they never received it. I contacted sugo told them what meta said they claimed meta lied. after being with Sugo for a year I got to wondering about my royalties. Now me personally distributors may offer the option for you to cash out once a month but I never do I do it once a year. With Distro in the beginning one artist profile with only 10 tracks I would cash out on average 30 to $40 a month according to my statistics there again I only cash out once a year. Sugo I decided to check I was ready to cash out I usually do this on the first of the year and i was shocked i owed $8. again that's with four artists profiles. Now I was under the impression that with a publisher I would make more than I would have prior with out one. That was not the case. I asked them about this I got no response at first I decided to email them every day and basically was told to read the exclusive contract I had signed. My impression is that one they're going to try to get your music out there as cheaply as possible even cut some corners like not distribute your album to all social media platforms where we do most of our marketing as artists. Now I asked how to gain a verified artist profile on Spotify for one of my profiles I was told they do not offer that by the grace of God I already had verified artist profiles due to my last distributor it sucks but I contacted Spotify myself and I was able to keep my verification thankfully. For another of my profiles I actually went through the back door and used a different distributor then contacted Spotify and then went to Sugo to load my music which I should not have had to do. As much money they have obviously made off of me and me receiving nothing you would think distribution would go smoothly and hit all platforms as promised you would think your artist profiles would be verified. You would think they would offer or actually follow through with their promise of artist promotions like where is the sync licensing it doesn't exist. And you would think as much money as they make off these artists including me that they would have way better customer service skills and would not lie I mean they called Meta Liars I mean meta the owners of Instagram and Facebook bruhhh. And out of all of that which is pretty bad the worst thing ever that happened with them is since they were acting as my publisher they had access to my library through my Pro BMI music I have literally nearly 200 tracks all together all profiles on BMI my Pro they all vanished except 14 I received no quarterly anything.
They don't distribute. They waste time. Nothing works on their site. Poor customer service (that's if they are legit).
