Same as everybody else I ordered A few things wait for the prior to come in went to look on there to see what was going on. The whole store was gone. I tried to contact him. No reply. They got me for my money.

Got taken!

Got taken!My story is the same as others here. I ordered in Sept of 2022 and then in May of 2023. Orders totaling $74. I sent them a message on March 9th, 2024 with no response. I now see that their website is gone. What the heck?? I guess it could have been worse. I feel bad for the person who got taken for over $900.

Pre-ordered an item never received it

Pre-ordered Weta Workshop Lord of The Rings - Argonath Environment - $900 USD on March 20th 2023. Never shipped the item, cannot contact seller. Out $952 with taxes and shipping!!

Sure thing toys didn't fulfill or…

Sure thing toys didn't fulfill or refund my orders which is around $400 and shut the website. I would happily take store credit and purchase something if they had website but they just don't answer the phone or email. + Sure thing toys bankrupted. I was lucky that could contact STT through ebay right before they bankrupted then could get some figures from in stock list. They couldn't fulfil my pre orders but appreciate that taking care of it.

If I could give it negative stars I would. I ordered a figure in 2021 and i still have not received it. Throughout the years i would email them and they would reply with we will ship next month. This has gone on for years now. If you want an ordered that will be unfulfilled for years and never get it this is your store. I’m still waiting for my figure and in my orders on their website it still shows unfulfilled, forever? Who knows.

DO NOT PRE-ORDER. YOU WILL WAIT FOREVER

I had a great experience with an in-stock item at Sure Thing Toys a few years ago, but I had no idea how horrendous they are for pre-orders!I pre-ordered a figure in August 2021 with a December delivery estimate. In December 2021, I saw that the figure had already been in stock and sold out at every single store except Sure Thing. I contacted them and they gave me a new estimate of February 2022. By April 2022 I'd still heard nothing, so I requested a refund, but they could only issue it in store credit. I used the credit to pre-order a plush toy because they had nothing else that I wanted.Fast forward to now and that plush has been in stock and sold out at various stores SEVEN MONTHS ago and I've still received nothing from Sure Thing. I don't know if they ever even get these orders in stock?! I have to believe they stock some products because my in-stock item showed up quickly.They've essentially robbed me of $40 this time though.

I pre-ordered a Kara Kuri Flame Toys…

I pre-ordered a Kara Kuri Flame Toys Snake Eyes back in April and have received very little communication and overall no one has reached back out when I requested a refund. This is extremely shady and I will be pursuing a chargeback on this absolute scam of a company.

Its been a year, still waiting.

I ordered 2 Nendoroids, Basil from Omori and Cinnamoroll from sanrio, about a year ago now, so around 200$. Ive been waiting to add them to my collection but now I just get to watch everyone else get their figures before me. Everytime i check, the estimated date of shipping is pushed back a month and its really discouraging. I hate to say its a scam but, based on others reviews you cant do a refund after a certain amount of time, which is unfair because this time we waited was us giving our trust to the service.I understand it might not be their fault that they receive stuff super late, but it is totally their fault for not being honest about it and about not allowing refunds. It is unfair to punish people for trusting your service and you probably have less customers because you keep failing those people that give you a chance. Id really recommend buying whatever you want from them someplace else!! :C I plan to buy the same figures some place else because I know they will arrive faster. Even if i do receive these figures I will never use this service and I will advise my peers against using it unless theyre willing to wait years.

It’s a scam!

It’s a scam! They take your money and don’t send anything. They blame the ever changing arrival date on the distributor, but the truth is they will never get the toy you purchased. I wanted for my purchase for over a year and it never came . I’ve also requested a refund , and not surprise, it never came.

I would strongly recommend not spending money with this company.

I ordered a figure from them December 2021 (that was then released by the manufacturer August 31, 2022) that i still haven't received. Each month the ship date is updated to the month we're currently in, but I've received no communication about what's actually going on. They refuse to refund my $395.88 and only offer me a store credit. I would strongly recommend not spending money with this company.

Paid for four, got two.

I preordered four figures from them in September 2021, and have only gotten 2 of the 4. The remaining two continue to have their ETA change every month, and are available in other places (including Amazon!) and others have received the same two figures I'm waiting on from those other sellers. I recently sent them another email, and I've sent many over the past TWO YEARS, essentially asking when it was going to show up, and they gave the usual spiel about "still waiting for stock to arrive/it's luck on who gets their stock first". Since I paid through PayPal and it's been over 180 days, I can't get a refund but they said in place of a refund I could get store credit instead. Store credit would be useless for a site I don't plan to use ever again.To their credit, customer service has gotten back to me every time I've emailed them. But I essentially have to write off about $70 and buy figures elsewhere.

DON'T ORDER FROM THEM. As of this review, the website isn't even accessible right now and all the webpage says is "This store is unavailable" which is crazy considering I accessed it earlier and tried to log in before being told it's suddenly unavailable.Just like the other reviews, I pre-ordered something from 1.5 years ago, and by the time the expected arrival date came, they kept pushing it back every single month. I sent emails asking about it and was told that they didn't get the shipment yet, but as soon as they get it, they'll send it out (which is such a lie at this point). Every other retailer has this figure in-stock since its release, yet SureThingToys doesn't. I ordered a prize figure from them. Surely they'd have a prize figure in stock. Nope.Anyways, they wouldn't give me a refund the last time I emailed them because of "PayPal's 180 day policy". They offer in-store credit, but I wasn't going to buy from them again so there was no point in cancelling the order. They make you pay upfront for pre-orders and then wait it out so they can take your money and run.

I preordered a figure two years ago and it never came. there was never any update on it, and the customer service is terrible. you have to go out of you're way to notify them about shipment issues, only to get the same prewritten email.

DO NOT PRE-ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE

Pre-ordered an item 1.5 years ago. Spent nearly $70 and paid upfront, and the item still hasn't arrived (despite other retailers having that same item in stock.) When asked why, it's simply because they "get their items straight from the source" (AKA Japan.) What a terrible excuse. I've been scammed.

Ive had nothing but good experiences. They try to take care of any issues that arise and I am more than happy to be patient with my orders considering the state of the world. My order always shows up or if I ask for a refund, one is promptly provided.

Scammers

Yet another person who pre-ordered an item that they never received. The nendoroid I pre-ordered came out in October 22 and is available literally everywhere else, any other website you might find nendoroids on. I sent them an email and the guy tried to 'explain' to me about how they get their stuff 'sourced directly from Japan' as if that's some sort of explanation as to why it takes a year to get the product. And yes, western retailers can be slower to ship like ToM, rightstuf, Crunchyroll, ect but there's no excuse to be THIS slow. I've been collecting figures for 10 years and this is the worst experience I've had. Oh and of course they don't do refunds :^)

Same as others

Same experience as other reviews and wish I would have looked here first. Pre-ordered two items 1.5 years ago, still haven't received while other retailers have had the items for months. Foolishly used Paypal which, according to Sure Thing, cannot issue a refund if older than 6 months - so can only get credit for a garbage store that takes $ immediately for a pre-order and never ships it. Will never purchase from here again.

I’ve waited 18 months for my order

I’ve waited 18 months for my order. They keep changing the date as to when it will come in. Wrote them for a refund and said it can’t be refunded because it’s been over 6 months. I also run a business and can definitely still send someone a refund. Do not order anything from their preorders.

Trash Customer Service and Sending Damaged Toys

I purchased 6 toys and 5 came in damaged. I started the return process and they said they required photos of the toys AND shipment box. I let them know I tore open the box and trashed it, and because of the delay in them returning my email (days), it went to recycling so I sent photos of the toys only. They said without photos of the box, I couldn't return the damaged toys because they cant put in a claim with the carrier. Then they completely ignored my emails. No where on their site does it say this, in fact, it says "Sure Thing Toys accepts returns, for any reason, within 30 days after receipt of your items." Apparently, "for any reason" isn't valid at all and had I known I needed the box, I would have gladly done so, but how am I supposed to know that? So now, I get 5 damaged toys and they move on, stomping on the little guy. They obviously don't care.
