Absolute horrendous experience
I used their service for 3 years in a row, with no problem whatsoever. They were the most expensive but service was great... then. One day I clicked the refresh button and everything turned to shaite. I suddenly had hundreds of Missing cost basis, but if you read the transactions list, all the info was there. Then started a several months battle. They have NO customers service - I am not kidding. No phone number to reach them! Only a chatbot redirecting you towards bs articles. I finally get in touch by email with "someone in the Development Team", assuring me it is a bug that only affected me, and now everything works. Big lies (lots of people I know had the same problems, my issues were NEVER fixed)... I finally had enough after months of headaches and went to CoinLedger, it is absolutely amazing there is no comparaison.

Taxbit saved the day for this crypto newbie on a budget
After spending the entire day trying to figure out how to generate 8949 tax forms for my very basic cryptocurrency trading in 2022, I finally remembered that my BinanceUS exchange had recommended Taxbit, and I'm so glad I finally remembered that, because within a very short time I had my 2 exchanges connected and the forms generated. Interestingly, one of the exchanges had generated a so-called 8949 that did not include all of the transactions, of which there were many per day with my bots on the Bitsgap platform, and simply spit out a one-liner, citing a 3rd-party application. I'm so glad I plugged the API information into Taxbiit because the report generated was just perfect, and I really thank you so much for that peace of mind and a superb software and interface. I am so impressed, and relieved!My only issue was my accidentally entering a less secure email in my profile and then not seeing how to change that in the profile settings, so I did send in that question to Taxbit support and am hoping it can be changed shortly (but no stars deducted for that very minor inconvenience). In the meantime, I just had to send in a compliment after quite a grueling day taking care of this last stretch of my 2022 taxes. And it was free at that. I'm just beyond wowed - thanks so much!

Poor system and bad customer service...
TaxBit is not extracting the correct data from crypto exchange. Some transactions are missing. Some assets are missing in my Holdings. It shows certain assets in my Holdings which I don't own :). The customer service rep. is sending a canned answer even after I gave very detailed information. Just deleted the account!

Horrible service
Horrible service, they keep sending you a list of links to "study", they assume everyone is stupid. The problem is that the API sync between TaxBit and the other platform is not good, so you will end up with many missing cost, missing buy/sell etc. and your tax form will be completely wrong and useless. Guys, be careful. After I wasted long time with no results, I went and tried with Coinledger.com, I linked my 4 account through the API and it magically all worked with NO issues, NO missing cost, NO missing transactions. That means that Tax Bit is totally useless. the customer care agents are totally useless, they can only send you a list of things to "study".

TaxBit, this tax season, 2022, compared to last year's 2021 tax season was "A breeze"!Last year,I could barely breathe or sleep with any Of the SAAS programs...My TaxBit rep Vanessa, conducted herself professionally and patiently as she represented TaxBit & MYSELF, in the most effective & efficient manner possible. A 'Gem' of an employee TaxBit has.Kudos!Well done! Keep improving! We need companies like TaxBit!However, I think it's the exchanges fault...losing cost basis addresses!About 10 of my trades were not properly recorded; nor recorded in any of my exchanges, nor was the exchange aware of these 'missing, important' cost transactions...Closer attention is required to report details all year long is best.I'm trying "CoinLedger" this year!

Awesome Solution!
So i was stuck in the middle of my self prepared tax return. I was wondering if i have to type in every single transaction i made the previous year which was alot. Finding out that SoFi partnered with Taxbit for this purpose, man!..its the easiest way to complete your return if your are dealing with crypto. Now i wont worry anymore even if i do hundreds of transaction!

Awesome help with my taxes
Gathering everything together for taxes is always a chore but the thought of gathering every last crypto transaction had me quite anxious. However, once I discovered TaxBit, my worries were over. The only difficulty was when I transferred Bitcoin to my node. The node crashed and fortunately I was able to recover most of it through a third party app and TaxBit, understandably couldn’t decipher this. I was, however able to modify the file to accommodate for the difference. All in all, TaxBit was a great help.

Request: 102053Naomi was excellent!! It was a complete contrast to her predecessor. Naomi was able to help troubleshoot and provided me with enough information for me to figure out why I was misunderstanding "transfer" "transfer in" and "transfer out" to reconcile my Missing Cost Basis. It was a process but she was patient and customer service oriented

ZERO Rating for ZERO Follow-Up
UPDATE: 3/16/2023 - TaxBit just "responded" to this review asking for a ticket #. They must have not actually read the review because i already included the ticket #s!!! Also there is no way to reach them other than their dumb chatbot. The person who replied left no number to call or email to send a direct message to. Total incompetence.----If I could give them a zero I would.I paid in 2022 the premium for my 2022. This means that I am paying Taxbit to handle any issues that arise with the account as accounting is not my field of expertise.Two transactions have been flagged with the "Missing Cost Basis". I took EVERY STEP possible as a layman to rectify the issue but still no resolve.It it now just a month away from when my taxes are due and TaxBit STILL HAS NOT addressed this issue and resolved the two flagged transactions. I have submitted three tickets now (with the latest being ticket # 102820, and original ticket # being 96412) and: - No Follow-Up.- No Live Support.- No Number to Call.Verbatim what I wrote recently in the ChatBot:"t has been SEVERAL MONTHS since I got into contact, and you all said you were going to address/fix the flagged "missing cost basis" transactions. Can you PLEASE fix this ASAP and provide the updated tax form to include those two transactions. I need to file my taxes and can't without the form and those two included transactions. I still have 2 other open tickets which I never heard back from you. "

Don’t waste your time and money on Taxbit
I have had TaxBit for over 3 years and paid for premium services. They have now changed their format and offer minimal to no services. Many of the file formats are no longer supported. I was hoping I could find one crypto tax service I could count on to simplify my taxes. I was wrong thinking TaxBit was the one. They are now losing a customer that would have stayed with them had they performed. Do what you want but I am finding a new Tax service as this one is a bust.If TaxBit truly wanted to work with me they would have provided a refund for services Not provided. I have been burned once and that’s enough.

Very expedient response from customer service. For a service I have not yet paid for yet (they have different plans), most companies are going to prioritize their customers that pay the most. Not TaxBit, they respond to anyone and everyone in legit 24-48 hours. Don’t even think that’s business hours, they respond so quick and they actually do what is needed to resolve the issue you have. I am so glad I found this company for crypto tax software

Horrible Customer Service
I paid my $180 subscription and linked my exchanges. TaxBit identified my crypto transactions -- at first. When I sold some crypto TaxBit didn't get the transactions correct. It still showed I owned part of them. Customer service responded quickly but the problems were never resolved. I waited 8 months. NOTHING. Terrible company. Did they refund my money? Nope. Did they perform as advertised? Nope. Also, last year when I downloaded form 8949 for the IRS the report was generic. They don't even put their name on the report so I can show the IRS who compiled the data. They don't even stand behind their work. Totally disappointed!!!!

Bad Customer Service
If I could leave a minus 00 stars I would, I paid for the plus subscription and have not had any support whatsoever, with the plus you are supposed to be able to submit your csv files that need formatting and taxbit support will format them for you and upload to your sources. This has not happened, and they continue to ignore my request which has put me in financial jeopardy of not being able to file my taxes by the deadline, do not use this company unless you want to be ignored and in deep trouble with the IRS
