Simply the BEST pub. The food is so good, specials change weekly so there's always something new to try. The staff are so friendly and chatty, good range of beers and drinks generally, and the garden is lovely with plenty of space and New Forest pony's to watch. They have a large screen in the marquee to watch sports and they have a fab atmosphere for the big events. You will not be disappointed with your visit.
We were staying in the area for a while and decided to try this Pub for a Sunday roast. We had a lovely welcome and taken care of nicely. Good range of beers. The roast was gorgeous with all fresh vegetables and we both cleared our plates. We will be visiting the area again and we will be calling in The Horse and Groom again. No problem.
I took my family to this establishment for a meal whilst staying at a local caravan site.I have to say, my wife and I thought the food was the best we had experience in ANY pub, ever! Gorgeous!I wish we lived a bit closer to this place so we could eat there more often; the veg alone was to die for and the sirloin I had was cooked to perfection with not an ounce of fat or gristle. Simply splendid!
