Beavercreek OH walk-in clinic

I wish there was an option to leave zero stars... Went to the monthly walk-in clinic at Pet Supplies Plus in Beavercreek, Ohio Staff is very unprofessional and the vet and techs acted like they was afraid to touch my dog (a poodle). A few of the vet techs spoke to me like I was a preschooler, which I do not appreciate. While I was waiting, I witnessed the vet turn away 4 cats for appointments because they "hissed" at her (c'mon...they are cats that are in a strange environment! Any type of pet would be stressed) I also did not get all of the exams/tests in the package that I paid for. The vet just listened to my dog's heart; she did not check his ears, mouth, temperature or anything else. I do not consider that a "comprehensive" vet examination. I had a few questions for the vet as well but she never gave me a chance to ask them. My dog was anxious as well (he's a new rescue) and the vet was afraid to give him his shots and almost straight up refused to treat him because he was shaking and kept trying to walk away from the exam area. (The vet was very fearful-acting and unprofessional and she kept recommending for me to put my dog on sedatives in the future. I do NOT agree, as my dog did not growl, lunge, or snarl at anyone and never has.) Next she told me that he needed to get a booster shot in 4 weeks, however, she told me that she didn't want me to bring him back to the clinic (because apparently my dog now associates the vet (her) with stress and she doesn't want to "trigger" him and deal with all of that). So she told me that I need to go to another veterinarian in the future. I have NEVER seen a medical "professional" turn patients (or business) in the way that I have witnessed today. In short, I do NOT recommend this particular clinic to anyone. The vets and techs act like they are afraid to touch your pet, are not friendly, are not professional, and definitely not knowledgeable. This is a rare time where I am more than happy to take my business (and money) elsewhere.

Deceased Puppy

Deceased PuppyJust a reminder, remember to trust your gut and to make sure a vet is well versed before bringing your animals to them. No accountability is being taken on the business’s behalf so they leave me no choice but to speak out. Our Pomeranian puppy Pickle had an appointment this past Saturday. The vet unfortunately diagnosed our 1 lb 3 oz Pickle with a 4/6 heart murmur, and believed it was appropriate to administer a 5 in 1 vaccine. We expressed that we were worried about a full dose and would like a micro dose, because of his weight and condition, but the vet proceeded to vaccinate. She deemed him as appearing “healthy enough.” Pomeranians are also very easily prone to sugar crashes, which all made for a very risky situation for Pickle. The following day he was playing as usual and when we checked in on him an hour later, he was found dead under our couch. Knowing what we know now after researching as well as talking with others in the medical field, this situation was extremely careless and vaccines should have been withheld until he was seen by a cardiologist and was an acceptable weight.Pickle was meant to go to my grandmother, who is now grieving him. He was our spunky runt and was supposed to live his life being someone’s special needs pet.Pickle was a very cherished little one and absolutely would still be here if more attention to detail was given towards his precious life. This was unacceptable and heartbreaking.

We took our 3 dogs to the pet…

We took our 3 dogs to the pet supermarket in Port St. Lucie. They were kind and helpful. We waited in our car till they sent a text. That took about 45 minutes. Once we got in they have the pups their shots. Did an exam and gave them routine dewormer. In total for 3 dogs $237. It would have been $268 per dog at their normal vet. So worth it. They were great!

Refusal to provide service

I drove almost an hour to get rabies shots for my two dogs.Approximately 10-15 people in line with their dogs. After registering, the tech asked what services I needed. I told her rabies and necessary shots to kennel my pets. She quoted me $162 for distemper, parvo and rabies for my two dogs.I asked that she just give them the rabies shots. She proceeded to tell me they are all out, that I can pay for them, that they will put the charge to my account and I can return in a couple of weeks to get the shots. In trying to decide if it was worth returning, I asked how much the rabies shots would cost. She informed me $39. I stated I had seen their advertisement stated $29. She replied that is only if you get the packaged deal which she didn't recommend stating it wasn't as effective .I informed her I would be filing a complaint with customer service. She responded: "Go ahead, I really don't care. They don't know me."Left Petsmart not getting the shots my dogs needed.

Affordable but Disorganized - Cat Owners be Cautious!

I recently found out about this low cost vet clinic that my local tractor supply offers so I decided to take my kitten there. It is definitely a very stressful experience for both the owners and the pets, especially cats. My greatest concern was lack of privacy and safety measures, as the entire session takes place in the middle of an isle where the public has immediate access to your pet receiving care. The biggest issue I had was less to do with the clinic itself but the patients at the clinic, particularly the dog owners. There are many extremely large dogs in extremely close proximity with cats. On every visit there were multiple incidents where dogs would get loose from their owners and approach or lunge at others pets. It’s very disorganized and stressful but compared to a standard vet it is somewhat more affordable. I guess that is the trade off.

Went to the e main St tractor supply…

Went to the e main St tractor supply location. They didn't show up until 3 minutes until they're supposed to start. Very disorganized and hectic. We have a lot of dogs and we had to bring one by one in and wait in the line. I understand that patients is a virtue but the wait was ridiculous. Once we finished, we go to pay and over $400 later and we only got a 1 yr rabies for $44? The other location 2 miles away are $12 for a year, so very disappointed in the late price change. I do not recommend using them unless you only have 1 or 2 dogs not an entire rescue because it will cost an arm and a leg for just a one year rabies vaccine. Zero stars

At sun city center florida

At sun city center florida, the girl that checks you in had a horrible attitude, tells you to wait in car and they text you and its whoever makes it first to the line then she threatens with not seeing me which I really could care less and then she tells an elderly person that she needs to figure out how to register on-line because she cant keep helping her, felt bad for the lady she clearly told her she has no access or knowledge of computers. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Will take my pet elsewere from now on.

Awful and predatory

Not only was the woman checking us in RUDE! She was snippy and angry. I stood in lone in front of the dog scale as there was urine all over the floor behind the scale. She yelled at me that i "HAD TO stand behind the scale." Forcing me and my dog to stand in a puddle of urine. But they hide costs. I bought a package deal. What they dont tell you is that they charge you the same price as the vet for the boosters. There was no mention of additional costs at the initial appointment. When I showed up for his booster, remember I already paid for the full package, the vet told me and everyone else in line that we had to pay more for the booster. No one in line knew about it & there were 7 of us. I purchased a package for $76, great! The booster alone was $55. My friend bought a bigger package & the additional cost to her was $200. Ridiculous. The company is predatory liars with hidden costs. Also, why were the vets on the sidewalk giving shots down the line as opposed to putting my dog in a sanitary area for the shot? Completely unprofessional, rude and totally predatory.

Advertising Packages does not make total costs clear!

Was charged $127.00 total $133.00 for a cat package that included vaccinations. Thought this was the total price as nobody mentioned that the boosters were going to be another $89.80. That makes a total of $222.80 for the vaccinations. This is more than going to a Vet Hospital. Their advert does not make the total cost clear. It appears that the vaccine packages include the total cost when actually the boosters are an additional charge. I suggest the total cost be made much more clear.

Charged for deworming but didn't do it

According to both their website and the flyer we were given at the pet store, the 8 month kitten package includes deworming. We were charged full price for the package but no deworming medicine was given to our kitten. We called their customer service to ask about it and they confirmed the dewormer is an oral medication that should have been given to her with a syringe, and claimed that their records showed that she had been dewormed. Both my roommate and I were watching the whole time. Nothing was put in her mouth, and we found worms in her poop a week later. They refused to acknowledge that there might be a mistake in the records and they won't give us a refund or even a credit to go back and get the dewormer for real. I would recommend avoiding them and just spending the extra money to go to a real vet instead.

Negative 1

Negative 1 "IDLE the not the vet guy" is a great name for the rude, inept jerk who was unable to provide proof of new "rule" that just came into place. This is because "we treated a pet with rabies....blah blah blah" He was the most nasty unhelpful waste of space I have ever dealt with in my life. Not to mention the vicious dog that was trying to attack my dog. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THESE CHARLATANS. Go to a real vet and not someone who got his education in someone's back yard. Don't buy products from Pet Supermarket. Protest these corporate greed companies that want to take advantage of your love for your pet. Not to mention the grab of your wallet.

They double my price, and did not give a receipt

Said 25 for rabies that's all I had done when I went to pay it jumped to over 44.00 if there going to charge that much they need to be upfront about it on line. That almost doubled. I got no check on microchip.Which she has and marked no on her paper work. No receipt when I got checked out.

The WORST

Oh my goodness…literally the worst, most stressful vet visit ever! If your dog has any anxiety when it comes to vaccinations do not take them here. Vet Tech actually walked away when one of our dogs was squirming and threw her hands up saying “I’m done”…There was a tech that stepped in and very calmly got the vaccination completed. Thankful for her but absolutely never again…Not worth saving $$ for this incredibly terrible experience

DO NOT USE THEM

DO NOT USE THEM. I ordered 6 months of flea tick meds for two of my dogs. They say they gave me 12 months and I cannot refill. I called customer service 3 times. On hold for 20 min EACH time. Finally connected with a “customer service rep” who heard my issue and HUNG UP ON ME.

I registered on line for TS clinic

I registered on line for TS clinic, was told I would be texted when they were ready for me. Clinic was from 9:30 - 11:00am . I got there early (9:00am) i choose to wait in my car until I was texted, all fine and good. Got my text at 10:07am that they were ready for me, my issue was it was almost 11:00 before my pets were seen . I waited almost an hour after I was told they were ready for me for my pets to be seen. I was there not counting me getting there early for the whole time plus some because I wasnt in my car until 11:15. There's got to be a better way. Loved the Dr. And staff they were great. Just the time thing was a bit ridiculous being pre-registered and all.

VIP PETS/PET IQ IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY

I was a veterinarian at VIP PETS for close to 10 years. Loved doing my job there. I have seen many many people come and go with this corporation. Within the past six months this place has been a real shit hole. They’ve been sending their technicians out there that ARE NOT TRAINED to properly hold the animals. The cashiers have no idea what they’re doing. The rig supervisors that come from out of state to help do not know how we run things here. They do not stock the rig properly. They do not stock enough syringes. They do not stock enough vaccines and they do not charge their iPads. So when I called corporate to let them know that things were not being done correctly, and I told them that they ran out of syringes and vaccines and the iPads were shutting off. Three of the four iPads died before the end of the clinic. Customers were yelling and screaming at me and I had nothing to do with it. I just show up to give the vaccines. So when I informed corporate less than 24 hours later, they said I was no longer a good fit, and they terminated me. In the last two months that I was there at least 10 people have gotten bit, one person got bit twice. They say they want to hear the voice of the doctor but when the doctor calls them to let them know how things are going terribly wrong they don’t want to hear it, instead they just rather terminate people. Wish you well VIP PETS, or should I say Pet IQ (for having IQ and your name you’re not very intelligent) you are going to lose more and more people that work for you. You had a loyal vet that worked for you, but you cannot handle the truth. You are putting profit over human lives. The technicians are constantly letting go of the animals and they’re getting bit and therefore they’re also putting the vet at risk for getting bit. They practice holding stuffed animals as opposed to a real live animal. Now they have this line management system where you have to pre-register which is a joke. They say you can see 60 people in a 90 minute clinic. That is unrealistic they say 60 people not 60 pets so if those 60 people each had two or three pets you’re looking at 120 to 180 PETS for 90 minute clinic, UNREALISTIC. VIP PETS/PET IQ NEEDS TO GET A CLUE.

Newark, NY Tractor Supply clinic

Went to the clinic today at Tractor Supply in Newark NY. The only reason I went there for his Rabies shot was because my normal vet does not do nails. A service they have listed. Mind you I just had this done at the clinic in Geneva the day before with no issues. Was also told they could not do it, it was against NYS law because his rabies shot was 5 days overdue. Again no issues with this in Geneva. When I got to the vet she said oh we do not even have the kit to do nails here because we want to see as many animals as possible for shots today. I listened to them talk people into as many tests etc as possible which would run up a huge bill like a Thrive-owned business would do. Not sure what corporation owns them but the model seems to be to make as much money as possible. My dog also was not weighed and they treated me like I was a bad owner because I would only get my dog a rabies shot. My dog is never exposed to other dogs and you do not get distemper, parvo or anything else from breathing the air outside. I told them I would never return and their attitude was who cares. One by one you will lose your customers from this unprofessional rip-off clinic. Forgot to mention last week they cancelled this clinic about two hours before we were to be there.
