Unreasonable demands, dont pay claims!
This insurance company is not good to work with at all. I had a water softener fail and completely plug all of the water lines and fixtures in my house. This required a complete removal of all of the fixtures and the piping throughout the house. The damage was extensive as the drywall had to be removed to get this done. The bill for this repair was 14k and I did all the drywall repair myself. They declined the claim. I attempted to go to another company and was flagged so my rates were stupid high due to a claim they reported and did not pay one dime towards. 8 months later I received a letter from them stating that my rates were being increased and that I needed to show that my water heater is less than 10 years old, the water regulator is less than 10 years old, and they want a leak detection valve with auto shut off installed, they want all braided metal supply lines at every connection, they want leak detection at every water connection. All of this must be done before I renew of they will cancel my policy. They will pay up to 100.00 towrds this very unreasonable demand! Stay away from this company at all costs!
