Our cruise ship missed the last port of…

Our cruise ship missed the last port of call due to an industrial strike by the port staff and White Horse refused to compensate us for the missed port, they said it wasn't covered in their policy. My advise to anyone thinking of taking out holiday insurance or any sort of insurance with this company is, do yourselves a big favour and go to a reputable company, and White Horse has got a terrible reputation, you may aswel not have any insurance than engage this company. Be Warned! We submitted at their request all documents including a letter from the ships captain, why did they not say over the phone from the get go that we weren't covered for this unforeseen situation, I think they were hoping that we hadn't saved all documents but then when we provided them they resorted to their plan B which is always under this section or that section you're not covered, they'll try their upmost to not pay out a claim, I know many insurance companies operate like this and its not very reassuring, but please shop around and always pre read the companies reviews that was the biggest mistake we made.

Feels Like a Scam

Feels Like a Scam - Mis-Sold Policy That Failed When We Needed It MostOur wedding was cancelled due to an involuntary job loss - something completely outside of our control. It was heartbreaking. But what’s worse is how we were treated by Wedinsure and their underwriter White Horse Insurance Ireland dac.We bought their top-tier wedding insurance thinking we were doing the right thing to protect one of the most important days of our lives. But when we made a claim, it was denied based on a hidden clause buried in the fine print. According to them, unless you’ve been employed continuously for two years with the same company, your job loss doesn’t count as redundancy and therefore you’re not covered. This was never clearly disclosed when we purchased the policy. It’s not in the main coverage summary, not in the sales literature and not flagged as a key limitation. That is mis-selling in my view, and I’ve escalated it to the Financial Ombudsman Service and am filing a complaint with the FCA.We feel tricked. This policy was set up to look like it protects you, while quietly excluding the most common reasons couples cancel weddings. It’s hard not to feel like it’s engineered to take your money and then reject your claim. No empathy. No ownership. Just cold, copy-and-paste rejections designed to wear you down.I’m writing this review not just for myself, but for any other couple who has gone through this or might. If you’ve had a similar experience with Wedinsure or White Horse Insurance, please speak up. The more voices, the louder the message. We bought this policy in good faith. They failed us completely.

Never again

Had wedding insurance with them, a supplier completely let us down but the insurer refused to pay out. Would never use again.

WARNING - unethical, abhorrent, vile

WARNING - PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH - WEDDING INSURANCE **EDITED AT THE REQUEST OF FAMILY**We took out insurance with Wedinsure (White Horse Insurance Ireland) in May 2023 for our wedding in April 2024.Putting it simply, our only concern was that of suppliers going bust or being unable to service our wedding and we wanted security. Fast forward 10 months, 7 weeks away from our wedding and my dad collapsed, at home and passed away 6 days later 💔 We held his funeral this week 💔He was 65, healthy, starting his 'gap year' (as he called it!) with my Mum, with holidays, motorbike road trips across Europe, cruises etc all booked. And the insurance firm won't pay out because my dad had visited a GP in the 12 months PRIOR to us taking out insurance. The professionals clearly state my dad's death had nothing to do with any current/ previous medical conditions and/ or conversations. So does his death certificate. BUT the insurance firm don't care about this. Won't listen to this. And are saying they believe it's indirectly linked!!! My dad. A healthy 'young' man literally living his life and walking me down the aisle in weeks, gone. Myself and family going through hell, shock, utterly heartbroken. With additional trauma due to this situation. Some suppliers have been incredible, some not so much. We are looking at a loss of £11,000. And no way of ever replacing that money now. In comparison to losing my dad it's nothing. In comparison to never having him walk me down the aisle (childhood dream) it's nothing. BUT with 4 children and a wedding and/ or reception to rearrange, we won't ever have that money again anytime soon. So... Please, PLEASE look at your insurance. I never ever imagined I'd be in a position, cancelling or postponing my wedding because of my closest family passing away, I'd never ever have even considered it. But if it saves one person this hellish journey, the warning is worth it 💔💔(Their (which they kept very quiet, never given to us until we wanted to claim) blanket exclusion states:The following exclusions apply to all sections of this policy. There is no cover for any claim caused directly or indirectly or contributed to or by:1. You or a close relative:b) receiving any form of medical advice, investigation(s), treatment, or prescribed medication for any medical condition in the 12 months prior to the commencement date.)

Revolut uses this and it's just a scam.

Revolut uses this and it's just a scam.Expect just time wasting and grandiose interpretations of the policies to suit their point of view. It's as good as having no insurance at all.(This is in regards of excess coverage for a limited excess with car hiring company - they'll twist their words to never cover anything except a broken windshield)

Totally unusable insurance!

We got no help what so ever, no help with paying for tests, food, shelter, flights, medicin etc.Totally unusable insurance, definitely the worst insurance company I ever had and the worst experience I have ever had with any insurance company.I lived all over the world, even very cheap insurance companies from very poor countries and areas do it a lot better.

Insurance Hustlers, Dońt Deal With Them

This outfit appears to be hustlers taking advantage of the Spanish market. Somehow they convinced El Corte Inglés travel agency to sell a cruise insurance that the travel agent claimed would cover any reason to cancel. We fell for it and paid for a cruise on Norwegian Epic to depart last September 6. Due to a sudden work complication of my wife three weeks before departure, we were unable to travel and asked Corte Inglés travel to reschedule the cruise. They refused so we contacted this White Horse Insurance to ask for a refund. That was refused on grounds that the reason must be one of the insured is bed-ridden and under care -- a far cry from the Corte Inglés travel agent telling us that we could cancel and receive a refund for any reason. We have a claim against both registered with the Spanish government insurance regulator, White horse should be banned from operating in Spain is what we will pursue with them, and I imagine that there are many other complaints registered against them. So, dońt go near this White Horse from Ireland, pure hustlers they are.

Terrible.

I hired this insurance through intermundial.I was either given misinformation while calling to confirm my insurance coverage or they are either lying now.Had 2 incidents while travelling, one cancelled flight and the other lost luggage.I had to write on social media to have my cases studied. it took them more than 3 months to reply. One was denied, the other they claim the limit is 350€ in total and not 350€ per person insured as they informed me when i called.

Stay away from these crooks.

Our flight was put to 12 days later due to coronavirus. They did nothing to help us get the few days of medicines we needed. Obviously a case for a medical travel insurance. A new medical need because of travel. Wanting to get home as soon as possible and having our travel medical needs looked after! Where do we get these pills from in a foreign country?? Never again, White Horse!
