I really gave this a fair try. I had 12 pieces shipped to my family in Maynard, but we found them very bland and slightly fishy. After reaching out, the company sent a replacement shipment, but the result was the same. Compared to whole foods Salmon, these were disappointing---bland, off--putting, and far below expectations.
I have a regular subscrition to Wild Alaska. I live in Colorado; my fish arrives solidly frozen with sleeves of dry ice. The fish tases so fresh and delicious. I also enjoy the recipes on the Wild Alaska websites
The King and Sockeye Salmon were quality products that tasted very good. My girlfriend normally only eats Salmon and no other fish; however, we tried the Pacific Cod and Alaskan Halibut, and we both loved them. I received our second order today containing King Salmon, Crabcakes, and Jumbo shrimp. They all look great can't wait to try them this weekend.Shipping is super-fast. We will keep ordering from this quality company
Salmon burgers had virtually no taste, and now have upset stomach. These are/were spoiled, throwing the rest away.
I use them three times. For a 5 pound box of sockeye, coho, and Keto. Shipped fast and cold. Sockeye and coho was fine, but pretty much the same thing as I can get at my local supermarket. My local fishmonger always told us Keto is worse than dog food and never to buy for anything or anybody? I should’ve listened to him. I thought I’d try the Keto just to see what I was like. Beyond horrible, we had to throw it in the trash.
I lived in Alaska 32 years and caught our fish. We moved to the lower 48 and purchased our salmon and halibut from here. We are very disappointed in this order which I paid $345.00 for. The salmon was small and full of bones. Our previous order was great but this order is NOT up to par. I am very disappointed.
Their salmon is only suitable for Salmon cakes or dog food. Very deceptive marketing , nonexistent customer service.
The products and service are excellent! Had the crab cakes for dinner last night. Delicious!!! I grew up in Maryland and the crab cakes from Wild Alaskan Salmon and Seafood are every bit as good as the ones I remember as a child. The salmon is also excellent. Tasty, good portions and worth every penny.
It is the best salmon we have ever had. The halibut was fantastic as was the Ahi tuna. To live in the Midwest & have wonderful service for delightful seafood is refreshing.
Would like to say it's no different than the flash frozen pacific cod you can buy at Trader Joe's or really any grocery store at about an 80% discount from what you will pay with shipping. But sadly, it's not as good, in my order the pieces were NOT tightly vacuum packed and all have freezer burn ice in the vacuum packs. To add to the disappointment all the pieces are oddly (triangle) shaped making it all but impossible to cook evenly.
Being from Seattle and San Francisco, I love Salmon, Cod and Halibut. I have been ordering from Wild Alaskan Salmon for many years. Never ever disappointed. Better than the fresh hauls I made from my own boat living on Whidby Island. With that said, I was used to my order arriving in North Dakota within 2-3 days from my order. My last order was made June 28 and I am still waiting for my order on July 10. I am giving you a low rating for this reason. The shipping. It has caused me distrust in this new development of distribution failures.
Originally given a box of copper river salmon as a gift and keep buying more. Also the halibut is very good. The customer service has been wonderful. Even had to wait for the salmon season to open as Kyle explained to me. He answered the phone himself and was very congenial. I will try some other items now that I have read the reviews. Haha!! Thankx Kyle you have a good company!
I've been purchasing from this company for several years now. Their salmon is by far the highest quality salmon I've had, and it's great to support a business truly doing things in a transparent manner. Keep up the great work!
I have never ordered from this company and have no doubt their products are great. I am writing this review because I was involved in an online discussion about this company and was sharing that there were lower cost options to equally good Alaskan seafood products. During this online conversation a rep from this company (Yes, Wild Alaska Salmon & Seafood and not the other company they often claim was the real target of their negative reviews) joined in. We talked about their prices. Shortly after our conversation I was apparently blocked from future conversations and to this day cannot read or even leave a Google review if I wanted. I had no reason to leave them a review until they blocked me. That’s a pretty poor way of doing business.
Since covid we prefer to shop online when possible. Seafood/fish is our go to. We love the fact we can get high quality fish delivered to our door.
These guys are great. At Franklin Farmers Market at the Factory. Been buying for three years. Always top quality and great selection.
I love the fish from this company. Very flexible responsive customer service and the fish is delicious. I live in Iowa. I need and love this service. The smoked sliced salmon (lox) are fabulous.
DELICIOUS SALMON. Better than any store bought (we do not buy 'farmed' fish.Added smoked salmon for next order. It is not really that much more $$ seeings how it's all wild, hand packed, fresh frozen, and delivered to your door.Try it. You'll like it (if you like fish).
About to place an order and came across this review link. I was shocked by the one stars. Wild Alaska Salmon and Seafood sells THE BEST seafood I ever had. And I have been ordering from them ever since a trip to Alaska back in 2017. And since my needs change, I do NOT have a monthly subscription...not required. I spend hundreds of dollars each order. Would not do that if not the best seafood I ever had, A fisherman coworker agreed, best salmon he ever had, better than Wegman's grocery which is a high end super market here in New Jersey. You one star raters are probably confusing them with a hyper-social media advertising other Alaska salmon company. So to all of you one stars. Make sure you are not dissing the wrong company. My experience with Wild Alaska Salmon and Seafood has been nothing less than PERFECT!
I feel bad for them. I buy their fish.
