Terrible Customer Service
I like the bike well enough but the customer service is horrific. They simply don't respond to anything. If you buy a bike from Wing, you better hope nothing ever goes wrong...no one will ever do anything to help you out.

Avoid this company! Terrible, non-existent customer service! I bought a $500 battery and accessories early August 2025. It’s October 22, 2025 and the battery hasn’t even shipped. Have been calling and emailing almost daily to no avail. No one replies to emails and no one answers the phone. I can’t use the bike (no battery), and I lost $500+.Scam, to say the least.
I bought a Freedom X bike 8 months ago and after 4 months the charger stopped working. I reached out to their customer support and it took several weeks for a reply, where they said they would ship me a new charger (after I submitted video evidence). After another couple weeks, I heard nothing and reached out and they said there was a supply chain issue. It has now been 4 months and they are yet to send me a new charger, or offer any solution. The bike has been unusable for more than half of the time I’ve had it and their support has not only been inconsistent in answering, but unwilling to offer any solutions.
order 15 days ago. never arrived. i contacted them, they said sahipping was canceled never left warehouse. Im like ok so what now? they never answered. They dont answer support either,. Best part is they said refund time is up???? like i never got it to even sendf back. DONT BUY
Bike was delivered deformed and offered no help whatsoever no I have to dispute transaction and have to walk around the bike and the box and all until it gets resolved.Do not buy from them even though it’s their fault parts were missing and the bike was defective somehow I’m the one to blame for it. Very rude staff
At 583 miles of riding the motor started cutting out, which was likely due to the controller failing. I contacted customer service about this, but since this was 13 months after I purchased the bike and they offer a 1-year warranty, they said it would be on my dime ($99 for a new controller). A bike that starts breaking down just as it leaves warranty and with so few miles on it is not something I'm willing to continue to invest in. The stock brakes are also terrible. So buyer beware on both counts.
I could not recommend this ebike more for the best value lightest weight for the great features & price! I read reviews of people who gave poor reviews before posting this one. I'm a real person with no affiliation with wingbikes.com and here is my review I put a lot of thought on: I would say you get what you pay for so I would expect significantly more expensive bikes to have fewer issues than budget ones but I myself could not be happier so far after riding it almost every week for 10 months. Everyone has to decide if they want to try a more affordable ebike for their first ebike before investing so much (either assemble yourself or verify before buying a bike shop that will assemble it for you), or spend at least $800 or more at a bike shop & expect for that price longer lasting components (maybe?), and at least more security on your investment on warranty and bigger company with more support people to reply back to you faster on questions (I myself got super quick and great answers so might depend on particular time). Its a good point before buying any ebike to ask which parts must be replaced by only the company that made the bike vs other options in case that company or brand ebike is discontinued. I'll have to ask which parts on my wing bike require going to wing vs can get other places & update this review like the battery is the main one I'm not sure about; but the gears, brakes & wheels don't require wing brand specific my bike shop can always change for me if anything happens to them. Honestly, I wasn’t a particular bike lover until my Freedom ST ebike at wingbikes.com is now one of my favorite possessions so fun! I can turn off power for biggest workout or choose 1 of 5 levels to boost my pedal speed to zip around/up hills for errands vs a car. After weeks of extensive research I feel it’s THE best value for the money for what I wanted due to: (1) This one looks and feels like a bicycle vs heavier ebikes or ebikes with wheels smaller or bigger than 26 or 27” I don’t like that look/feel more like a moped. I had it weighed & it’s the only one I could find anywhere close to this price at only 51lbs and the removeable battery quick to unlock/pop out which then made it only 45lbs. Most ebikes I saw with more than 1 gear and less than $3K are significantly heavier ~60lbs and up and risk hurting my back lifting. (2) love the modern unisex comfort bike style where sit upright like on a beach cruiser vs hunched over that gives neck pain over time & not necessary if not a racer. Also easier & safer to get on/off. (3) this bike blows away the closest runner up ebikes I could find due to has at least a 550W motor/55Nm torque & battery power needed to climb steep hills; other bikes with this usually heavier or pricier. (3) So many other great features like throttle to cross busy streets faster or get started again if had to stop on a hill, super bright lights in front and rear, horn, kickstand, lock for battery, bike lock/alarm, etc. (4) I’m a female & easily assembled it myself with tools that came with it other than someone helped me tune the brakes a bit tricky. Tips: (1) “must have”: $32 / 10 min easy install shock absorber seat post much lighter & cheaper than full shock absorber I can ride all day with no sore butt; from Amazon: 31.6mm Bike Suspension Seat Post Shock Absorber Damper Replacement Seatpost 400mm Length 50mm Travel Aluminum Adjustable (2) all ebikes seem to have tires too thin or too fat/heavy. I wish the front wheel was exact 2” size myself & others I know feel are the lightest & best for streets while also grips well on dirt hills (or wish the wheel frame allowed more flexible tire sizes.) I tried several tires before found the one below that both fits & good grip for up/down fairly steep dirt trails even with medium sized uneven parts & rocks (just no significant wet mud requiring a different type of ebike that allows fatter tires with nubs also making the bike a lot heavier.) No need to change the back tire harder to change & not necessary for me: Continental Contact Plus Travel Bike Tire - E-Bike Rated, SafetyPlus Puncture Protection, All Terrain Bicycle Tire (26", 28") (3) $17 memory foam seat cover like I got at target is dreamy on the tush for long rides. (4) If you don’t want the rack on the back ask if they can remove before sending the bike to you since hard to get off.
We bought 2 Wing bikes and couldn’t be happier. The customer service is amazing ! Super friendly and helpful. We are in our 60’s and have a great time feeling youthful riding around on our bikes. We love them so much we even rent them when traveling. We recently rented them in NYC and rode around Central Park it was amazing.
We love our Wings Freedom ST. It was a great Christmas gift and It was super easy to assemble - I was on my ride that same day I received the bike. Great I had a few questions, but Daniel and the YouTube instructional videos were great. It's a great smooth ride -- I would highly recommend Wings bikes!!!
Bought 2 wing bikes a month ago and very happy with my purchases Bikes shipped fast and videos to build bikes were easy to follow. Used the bikes on a recent camping trip and performance was great. Had a small missing part (charger adapter) , called customer service and they were very responsive and easy to work with, issue resloved quickly. Great bikes and value.
Just got my Freedom X.2 this week and couldn’t be happier. Lightweight, sleek design and easy to use. Great customer service during the sales process and excellent communication from Daniel along way! Would do business with again!
Customer service is excellent. Absolutely love the bike.
purchased a wing bike due to a discount offered in their website, however I didn't get any confirmation email, I sent them a mail but I haven't got any reply since a week ago. I'm trying to cancel my order now just in case their maintenance service is as bad as the post shopping experience.
Customer service was great although I only chatted with them via email. They were very responsive with regards to updated shipping info. I paid for bike assembly. They had a problem with the bike shop that was going to do the assembly. Wing sent a bike mechanic to my house. The mechanic was very professional. Gave me lots of information on bike maintenance. Adjusted the seat for me. And was very thorough in making sure that I knew how to ride the bike/controls, etc. Excellent service!!!
This review is based on my personal experience so make your own conclusions. I have owned my Wing Freedom X for just under one year and have had many issues. First customer service is contacted by email and it could be a few days before they get back to you. Most replacement parts come from China and take about a month to get if your lucky. Labor to replace the defective parts is your responsibility no matter how many times it takes to resolve the issue. This bike is a lot louder than most comparable E-bikes that I have rode. Here is a list and dates of the issues I have dealt with.1/10/23 = Received delivery of E-bike & I assembled in about 2 hours1/11/23 = Gears not working - Bike shop adjusted derailleur $$1/12/23 = Noticed display chipped / Wing ordered new display / new display finally received 3/6/23 & installed2/03/23 = Pedal assist not working / Wing says need new controller, part ordered 2/17/23 / Part received 2/23/23 & installed / Still no pedal assist - Wing ordered new torque sensor part 2/23/23 / Torque sensor part received 3/03/23 & installed 3/09/23 / Part works but is loud5/31/23 = Brakes weak & noises / Adjusted brakes9/06/23 = Alarm malfunctioning / Wing ordered new alarm 9/06/23 / New alarm received 10/17/23 & installed9/07/23 = Pedal assist loud noise / Wing says lubricate planetary gears 9/14/23 / Gears lubricated - still noise / Wing ordered new torque sensor 10/24 / 2nd torque sensor part received 12/10/23 & installed / Noise still exists
WISH we could give Daniel Elm and Wings E-Bikes 10 stars (instead of only 5 stars) as we were so blessed by Daniel's amazing gift for customer service and sales!!! DANIEL IS GREAT!!
We are sooooo blessed when calling Wings E-Bikes to purchase our TWO bikes today! Their sales rep, Daniel Elm, was both gracious and patient while helping us determine the BEST BIKE for us! You won't go wrong with Wings!
First the wingbike is absolutely amazing and I’m truly happy that I was able to find and purchase this bike. Next the customer service here is fantastic, I called and spoke to Daniel Elm who lives in Miami and he was very enthusiastic to speak with, informative and enjoyable. I recommend wingbike to everyone.
We have been riding a Wing Freedom 2 for a few years and we ride it hard and never do maintenance and it keeps running. This is a tough bike and we like it so much that we are buying 2 more Wing bikes- a Freedom Fatty2 and an ST for Christmas!! Note that this company has been in business for 5 years and that they are a small family run and owner operated business. They try hard to take care of their customers and they build nice bikes with a nice price!!
The Google reviews on their website cannot be verified. The scrolling google reviews widget is fake. This company in my opinion is going bankrupt and desperately selling inventory.
