My “Dream Guitar” Experience
I’m going to try and convey just how important this purchase was to me. I’ve been waiting for a number of years to purchase the “Dream” guitar to last the rest of my life. Not an easy decision, but I did finally find it about 2 years ago. I’ve made many instrument purchases online and really couldn’t decide which company to go with for this purchase. After researching the usual 7 online companies and my local music store, I found AMS, they were priced around the same as everyone else, so I called Customer Service. This is usually the make or break moment for me with online companies. More to the point, I needed to finance this purchase, since I am an old guy and retired, financing is usually out of the question. However, AMS offered me an option that was comfortable and within my fixed income. I was not only able to afford the Martin guitar but I also was able to include the amp that is best suited for the Martin. 2 days later I had my “Dream” guitar and amp sitting in my living room, ready to play. Needless to say, this entire experience went off without a hitch or hiccup! The 4 main elements to a perfect online purchase for me include in this order, #1, Customer Service, #2, Product Availability, #3 Price, and #4, Shipping Costs. I can honestly say that AMS achieved a perfect 10 in these 4 categories for me with this sale. As I said before, I have made many online purchases, mainly music instruments and equipment. This level of satisfaction has never happened for me before and because of it, I am only going to shop at AMS in the future. They have gained my trust and earned my loyalty. In the end, I can honestly say that I highly recommend AMS. These people are serious about their company and the satisfaction of their customers. Next time you are researching anything musical, Go to AMS, and do yourself a favor for once. Their world class customer services will impress and delight you.

I have been using American Musical Supply for quite a number of years. They are excellent, prices are competitive, delivery is prompt, returns are hassle free and contacting customer service has always been a pleasant experience. The interest-free payment plan options have been in force for years, way before other vendors had started to introduce them, and doesn't involve financing by taking out an associated credit card. It allowed me to purchase quality instruments that I would not normally have the budget to pay for in full up front. I also appreciated how you could select the exact individual finish variation & weight of expensive model guitars, through referenced photos posted on the website. My most recent purchase has been of the new generation Boss RC-500 looper. Instead of saving up for it, I can instead use the time to record backing tracks on it while making monthly payments, so I will be all ready for Summer gigging!The one thing which could use improvement is the search function (or is it more the cataloging system?) on the AMS website. Sometimes when looking for a specific item, (with the exception of the popular big name brand, familiar musical items everyone carries), it often falls short in searches, leaving you to look through endless multiple pages of listed items. I'm certain I have on occasion in the past given up looking for a certain musical accessory or part, only to find it instantly on another site. Other than that, AMS is an absolutely excellent place to purchase your musical items.

Well I ordered a Mackie all-in-one…
Well I ordered a Mackie all-in-one music system for karaoke during the fall or summer of 2025. I had it for a month and realize I wasn't going to be able to make the next payment and since but never opened it and the job that I bought it for decided they didn't want to have karaoke after all, so I went ahead and shipped backthe unopened Mackie All in one music system back to you at American Musical Supply and I never did receive a refund. Why?

AMS gave me a very good deal on a new Gibson and they worked hard to ship it to me very quickly - overnight. They all had the right attitude and were very professional. I had one shipping glitch but it was so complicated that I wouldn't hold it against them. I'll definately do buisness with them in the future!
