The deal was too good to be true

The deal was too good to be true. After ordering and being charged I got a call from the bike shop that they did not actually have the bike available and if i wanted a different size. They were nice about it and refunded me pretty quickly, but the bike has remained advertised a week later.

An easy purchase and fast delivery

The frame I ordered arrived a couple of days early and in perfect condition. The Bike Exchange web site descriptions of the product were accurate and I was able to acquire parts for the build that will fit without having to return anything in order to complete assembly.

Great Deal

I was able to find the make and model of bike I was looking for in the color I really wanted. I received my bike in a timely manner. The bike was sold as new and I received warranty information from the manufacturer. The was used as a demo as there was some unvleaned dirt still on it. However like new condition. And I have test rode bike before so I am not worried about the little bit of dirt.

Felt IAx Advanced

I recently purchased an IAx | Advanced | Ultegra Di2 from bikexchange.com and overall had a very positive experience. Shipping was fast and the price was excellent—hard to beat for this level of bike. Everything arrived in good condition and as described.I’m withholding one star due to a couple of small issues: there were no headset spacers included, and the brake lines were routed a bit strangely, which required some extra attention on setup. Nothing deal-breaking, but worth noting.Overall, great value and smooth transaction with no major complaints. I’d still recommend bikexchange.com and would consider buying from them again.

Product listed as available but not in stock

Sadly, I purchased a bike through the website, and shortly afterward I received a call from the store informing me that the bike listed as available on BikeExchange was actually not in stock.I was offered several alternative solutions, but none of them included getting the bike I originally wanted, which is a real shame. While I’m not sure where the mistake originated, I was ultimately the one affected by this situation.

Bike People Trying to play in the tech world

I purchased a bike through Bike Exchange and it turns out the partner shop didn’t have the bike in stock. It was 6 days before the partner shop finally returned my emails and informed me that they didn’t have the bike. I’m sure Bike Exchange will say this is out of their control but if they are going to broker deals, they need to have systems in place to ensure bikes are shipped within a certain time frame and communication is maintained between the consumer and shop. Not just collect a fee and move on. Have some checks and balances. It’s not hard to do with technology these days.
