I had an awful experience with this airline on my flight from Zagreb to Copenhagen. Two of my suitcases were damaged during the trip. The airline admitted responsibility and promised compensation, but I never received the payment. Emails go unanswered, and it is impossible to reach anyone by phone. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Overall, a complete disaster – I would not recommend this airline to anyone.

Absolutely terrible customer service! They lost our luggage for 6 days of our 7 day vacation. No contact from them at all. Our vacation was in August 2025 and I'm now just getting resolution. I can't stress this enough, NEVER fly this airline

The worst company ever
Worst airline ever. I’m writing this because this is not a one-time issue – it happens every single time. I honestly can’t remember the last time we had a good experience with them. Five minutes before boarding, they announce a delay with no explanation and no information about when the flight will actually depart. After waiting for over an hour with zero updates, the flight was simply removed. Meanwhile, all other flights were operating normally. My husband doesn't know anything about the flight over an hour after the plane needed to fly.They advertise themselves as a premium, “all-star” airline and charge accordingly, but their service is absolutely terrible. This is the only airline where even the cabin crew is rude. Compared to them, every low-cost airline feels like luxury. A complete disgrace. If you have any other option, avoid this airline at all costs.

Unbelievable how they treat customers at check in. The flight attendant just standing to her male colleague (who was actually working and checking me in), was complaining at loud why people are not checking in and writing down all the necessary information on their own (I was flying to the USA). She was extremely rude. Just to mention, it is not obligatory to check in online.Best regards,Marina

we've made several request to get in contact with them, we filed complains on their website and sent mail : no one ever answered us !!! We have never felt safe with croatia airlines, never book with them. They don't care about their clients, and they will do everything to keep us quiet.our flight was cancelled. We were automatically rebooked on the OU471 CDG-ZAG & OU664 ZAG-DBV.Everything went wrong with our journey and we couldn’t be more annoyed.- our direct flight was changed into a flight with a lay-over- when we called the Croatia Airline Client Service at 4pm, a few minutes after being informed of the OU471 cancellation - the call center agent litteraly laughted at us telling us cancel flights happen all the time, when I told her that I didn’t think it was a funny situation, she hung up on us. i’m not inventing anything - you can listen to the conversation as I didn’t oppose to it being recorded.- no one checked our ID while boarding the OU664 flight. The tickets were only scanned, and the airport agent waved a kind a 'no need' sign and nodded a 'no' when seeing i was handing her our IDs. ???? how is it even legal ? maybe i misinterpreted the sign & nod (I doubt I did), but still, IDs were never checked.- OU664 never even made it to DBV, we were only informed of that situation a few minutes after taking off. what do you mean you feel free to take on passengers without even informing them of that possibility before boarding ?!- our flight landed at Split SPU where we had to take an autocar for 4 hours !! no water or a basic food snack was provided- we were supposed to arrive at 9pm with OU471, hence we had dinner planned & had to cancel as we arrived at the dubrovnik bus station at 4am !!!- we had to pay for a taxi, when we had friends planned to pick us up - obviously they were not available at 4am.- we had to spend +18€ on disgusting sandwiches & chips in the ZAG airport, that left us stomach pain up until late morning of the oct. 2nd- we left our home at 4pm, and arrived 12 hours later at our hotel, when it only should have been 6 hours.

I was booked to fly from Split to London on 30 October but was unable to check in because the airline web site does not work for checking in. Likewise it does not work for checking in on the Lufthansa app. ( Lufthansa operates these flights on a code share basis) An unacceptable lapse

2 busness class flights terrible baggage service
2 business class flights. Planes ok and staff friendly. Delayed baggage - took 5 days to get my bag from Heathrow and still waiting - I live in the north Courier advised that Croatia only play for the lowest level of courier service.Do not check baggage in with this airline!

One of more unreliable airlines when it comes to the punctuality.So far, 80% of time Croatian airlines flights were late. They lost my luggage at Zagteb airport also. If possible, avoid this airline and find alternative. Avoid any code shared flight operated by Croatian Airlines also.

If u travel with the pet in cabin
If u travel with the pet in cabin, don't fly with CA. If your pet is anxious and can only be in your lap in his carrier during flight, they will not have a compasion for it and will insist to keep him under no matter what. Even if the pet is not feeling well due to sounds and space that they could never be prepared for in advance. Even with other passengers approval to keep him up, staff doesn't care. Our dog was quiet but so very scared being under the seat. However we ended up forcing him to stay down and no one cared. Personally I don't see a problem to put carrier on the lap, it's waterproof, pet can't escape and he is far from other people. Animals are often better behaved than humans, fact. I understand they have to obey rules but I think CA should start changing them, like Italy did. For sure their income would improve.

Flight from Oslo to Split – due to bad weather, we had to land in Zagreb. When we arrived in Zagreb, there was clear information about what would happen next, and we were on a new flight to Split within two hours.

Don’t even deserve one star and I would totally recommend against ever booking through Croatian. They cancelled my flight (last sector of a connecting 35 hours from Auckland). Absolutely no support what so ever. Couldn’t alter my booking online, nor through the app, and they just cut you off on the phone. I finally got through by email - they offered no refund, nor accomodation and told me they would put me on a flight 26 hours later as long as I agreed that I would not be able to change my flight again. The most incredible thing is - at 8pm regardless of the situation they call it home time leaving you high and dry. I received an email at 8pm promptly stating; “ after 20:00h as our working time is over .Thank you for understanding.Best regards,Dalibor”Thankfully Lufthansa went above and beyond and booked me through their best option. What a joke

Worst experience ever
The plane was delayed and we were late for our connecting flights. The airline gave us new tickets for the next day and we had to stay in a so called “ 4 stars “ hotel International hotel Zagreb. They gave vouchers for lunch and dinner. We didn’t got food from the menu but instead we got the worst food I have ever ate in restaurant.

Flew with Croatian Airlines from Dublin to Split return. Could not fault them. Lovely modern aircraft, clean and fresh looking... flawless trip, on time, lovely air staff, easy check in, good communication, nice snacks offered during flight for free, v pleasant ground staff also. Also very good value for money!. Would recommend .
