They wont replace broken items
The package they sent was weeks late and arrived crushed. They refused to refund my money or send a replacement item. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they will be late and if there damage to the item they will just refuse to deal with it.

Horrible customer service. They outsource to a call center in the Philippines, clearly choosing profit over the American worker. No call back, no email, "family owned" my ass. Just another company choosing profit over service. I will never use them again.

If I could give them a -5 I would. I’ve read scam, scam, scam - yep, yes, yea. This company knows all the tricks, add-on and shipping fees etc after you think you’re done. And these are very inflated ad ons at that. IF YOU GET PAST that heartburn and actually buy something you really set yourself up for big problems should you need customer service. Your calls route to call center (in India based on the accent) that’s fully scripted in how not to help you but to set up hurdles and barriers. They’re not going to help, period. That’s because they must call their supervisor for anything unscripted. I insisted in a call from the so called supervisor - and lo and behold I got a call from a stern biotch who pushed even more buttons. After expressing my frustration with her I let her know I’d take this up with AMEX a she totally locked up as if I’d said the magic words. She explained since I mentioned AMEX DISPUTE, she could no longer help. Great advice - the challenged charge was handled professionally by AMEX and my money was refunded 100% as it should have been. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

I placed an order on Cyber Monday. They had a promo of 35% off if you order 3 items using the code "CyberMonday". there was no place on the order screen to put the code and I accidentally placed the order without the code. I immediately e-mailed their sales department and asked for the discount. after no reply to two emails I called and was told the "CyberMonday" code was only valid on Black Friday and since Cyber Monday fell on Dec. 1 it didn't count even though Dec. 1 IS Cyber Monday I only received a 10% discount. They lost a $750 a year customer over $90.

I wish I read these reviews before ordering. Very disappointed with the gift. I specifically asked them if the cookies were individually wrapped (as I did not want them wrapped). The description on their website did not indicate they would be individually wrapped, otherwise I would not have purchased! Will NEVER use this company again. Also, their shipping charges were nothing short of RIDICULOUS!

Received a box of pears as a gift. Had to immediately discard 25% of the fruit (pears) as they were rotten. I probably have to tell the gifter so they can avoid this company in the future. However, I do appreciate the thought. Also, the fruit seems to have been purchased at the local supermarket with the stickers still on. Not exactly special...

Overpriced and didn't arrive in time
Purchased a boo basket to be delivered a day before Halloween. I purchased the basket on the 20th of October and was given the option for a delivery day, of which I chose the 30th of October. However, when the company did finally ship, it showed a delivery date of October 31st. It is November 1st and the basket still has not reached the recipient.

Do not purchase anything from Gourmet Gift Baskets!! I purchased a Sympathy Gift Basket for a grieving family overseas. I purchased the additional insurance to ensure the item arrived in good condition. The delivery driver didn't attempt to deliver it to the recipient's door. They left it outside the property gate in desert heat. Everything spoiled. I requested a refund. I was told I could accept a credit or they could re-send the item. They couldn't guarantee it would arrive in edible condition. I explained a credit is of no use. I'm in Australia. After further correspondence where I asked about the insurance coverage I purchased, I was told a full refund had been processed and would be received in 7-10 working days. That was a month ago. The refund has not been received. I'm currently waiting on a response to a follow-up.

They Lie and Overcharge
I did not want to pay a $25 delivery charge, so I ordered a $3.95 delivery date. They still charged me $25 delivery.I checked the box to send an email to recipients IMMEDIATELY after ordering, alerting them of delivery. They received no email.Order was delivered Friday. I got notice Sunday night 9:45 PM saying my order was just delivered. THESE IDIOTS ARE LIARS, CRIMINALS, AND ASLEEP. NEVER AGAIN!

I ordered a gift basket on 8/13 for…
I ordered a gift basket on 8/13 for same day delivery on 8/14 after not receiving the item and trying 3 times to contact them I final was able to get ahold of representative. They apologized for the item not being delivered and said the item was not eligible for same day delivery. It took me contacting them to receive this update. They said they would be unable to fulfill my order, they did refund my money but when I asked if they could offer a replacement basket of some sort they said they could only do a replacement or refund even though they messed up. All in all I took the refund but recommend not going through them their customer service is terrible
