Spread.Net is in my opinion the best product available for implementing Excel-like functionality in a Windows Forms application. It is very strong on feature-set and performance. The on-line support people take an interest and have been able to resolve minor issues we have experienced.

We purchased ActiveReportsJS. The documentation is so poor about license activation. (designer and embedded web viewer)I am not able to connect to a database using designer to build the report.
We were looking to upgrade an older version of the spread software to work with windows 10. GrapeCity was able to work with us to upgrade to a current version of the product. Technical support and customer service were excellent.
GrapeCity have great people in their sales and technical teams. Their online services take some beating too (I'm yet to find anyone who can!).All in all, a great company to help you with your development tools.

Answers from technial support (Ashwin) are excellent. But supportone has persevering technical problems. Sometimes making a post silently aborts without stating what the problem is. HTTP returns 417. I have made an extensive debugging effort to help and sent an email on July 23. No answer as of today. The problem hit me again today, re-sent the email today.

Active report is a really interesting product but it's not really finish/polished (web). Documentation is poor.Customer support save this product, even with all problem we are supporting and are willing to help and hotfix showstopper issue.
Sales team was very responsive.When we needed more time to create and get feedback on our proof-of-concept, they supplied extra evaluation licenses quickly.
I originally purchased the spreadsheet product when it was part of Wijimo.The product has evolved and is very good but the licensing has been a source of a major amount of frustration and has inhibited our development.As a long term user I feel like I have not been treated fairly.I should have been grandfathered when your went to server based licensing.

The products and features are good, but being tied to specific Visual Studio versions is a huge burden to pay for, maintain, and release. We literally don't want to use your products anymore but our applications are so tied to them we have no choice for the foreseeable future.
