I ordered a taser gun and it was delivered defective. I had several email with Willie Hightower and Corey Berkley and Elizabeth and they acknowledged the defect. Once we sent it back, they all stated it was not all received. They stole our 379.95. This company must be stopped. Please do not order from this company, it is a scam and you will be ripped off. They prey on people who need security.

Purchased a $1500 DSC residential alarm system. After our local tech, with the help of the manufacture's tech had tried for two hours to get the system to work, I returned the equipment to Steve Knoch after receiving a RMA number. He should have sent a new replacement, but never did. Never returned any messages or text. It's been six weeks since we returned the system and it appears we're out $1500.

absolute rubbish - bought a $78 titan guard dog security stun gun baton - it worked great for 5 seconds - and they would not even answer my emails.(sent to the email in the box in case of "issues" )* the device has an electrical design flaw - so anyone buying this baton WILL get the same result - guaranteed.

Scheduled Price Reduction
Home Security Store is also known as Sterling Security Store. I purchased a $199.99 product from Home Security Store on July 22, 2016. On July 23, 2016, the same product's price was reduced to $152.25. I contacted customer service and asked if they would provide a price guarantee for the product. If so, I would purchase an additional product.Sterling customer service replied: "Currently, we do not offer a pricing guarantee. This particular product is controlled by the manufacturer and was scheduled for a price reduction on Saturday morning." So to add salt to the wound, not only did the price go down by 23%, the price reduction was scheduled. Most distributors, would go back to the manufacturer and ask for a credit based upon the circumstances and in turn, provide the customer with a refund.All returns require an Return Merchandise Authorization and have a 15% restocking fee. So instead of purchasing an additional product, I will now keep the product and never buy from them again. In addition, I will warn everyone I know about the lack of a price guarantee and restocking fee.In this day and age, not providing a price guarantee for products that you sell (not competitors products) and asking for a restocking fee, sends a message that you don't care and buyer beware!They got me once but they won't have the opportunity to get me again.

Terrible waste of time and money.
All the items shipped to my home were used and defective! They offer 100% money back. But they don't pay for return shipping. So tell me, I have to pay to have defective used items shipped to my house then I have to pay to return and fix their mistake? This seriously baffles me.
Customer service was prompt with timely professional responses. So it was not their fault. But the only way to contact them is by going thru the contact form from the site. So instead of hitting the reply in my email, I have to remember reference numbers and refill out the contact form on their site. An obvious inconvience.
Overall a waste of time and money. Yes money I ended up spending 20 bucks on shipping. My grand total is about 80+ bucks and I'll only see about 60. On top of all that I have nothing to show for it but empty Christmas gifts. I lost money during this transaction. It's infuriating.

They say they are out of business but they use the same url and sell you product by DSC which will not let them buy any more product due to unethical business practices selling consumers out dated equipment.

Your area may have already been discontinued.
DSC has no direct 3G or 4G unit for the Alexor system unfortunately but item 3G3070-USA could be used for 3G communications to Alarm Relay.

I bought a Visonic PowerMax Pro less than 2 years ago. It recently started having problems and now will not work. The display reads "==PowerMax Pro==". I have been told that it is a malfunction. I spent over $500 on the system and peripheral sensors and accessories. I bought it specifically based on a customer service rep who told me it was "dependable". Clearly this is not the case. I have complained previously and also contacted the Better Business Bureau and other agencies. This is highly frustrating. Do not expect much from this company. They don't even post phone numbers to call.

What Happened?
This was the go to place for DIY people. Overnight. Everything changed. Horribe customer service. They will not answer the phone. Overall. I bought for years. NEVER again!!!!!! Stay Away!!!!

Not sure what happened to these guys, service went from great on my first order to horrible on my second order.
Ordered a complete alarm system for thousands. Order and installation went smooth. I added some items and had a few technical questions and all was great. Early December I ordered a complete video surveillance system. Got it and installed with only 1 problem. The monitor that they sent would not fire up. It didn't have a cheap price tag but looked pretty cheap. I hooked up my laptop to the system, and another monitor that we had and both worked fine. So I contacted them for return and refund of the defective monitor. Initially could not reach them. When I did they gave me a RA number and said they would email me a shipping label. I called back a week later and they said we won't pay for return shipping. I spoke with customer service who said a manager would call me back to square it away. Still haven't received a call. I called back and left several messages but no reply. Its been a month. What company runs their business this way? Definitely not a good one. Avoid at all costs.

Home Security Store has the most horrible customer service that you will ever see in your entire life.
They have NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AT ALL...........they refuse to answer the phone......if you have a problem with a device that is under their alleged 1 year warranty, you will never get an exchange or a refund. They try everything in the book to re3fuse warrantying and item.........these people are crooks, con artists...........just overall TERRIBLE.
Stay far far away. You will come out ahead by paying a little more with a reputable company.

Ordered 2 fast pack boxes, keypad and transformers missing in both boxes
Ordered 2 GE CADDX NX-4 Fastpack Kits, and each box had a missing keypad and transformer. I called customer service, and they said that because of their inventory system, they could not simply send out 2 keypads and 2 transofrmers. They said they would ship out a replacement right away that day, and include a shipping label for me to return what they had previously sent me. 7 days later, I get an email saying that there was a "manufacturing" problem. What? So I emailed them asking for a time frame for the parts. No answer. I am calling them today to find out more info... I ordered on Nov 22, and today it is Dec 13.
Update: Called them just now and the salespeson confirmed that they had several identical issues with kits msissing parts. They explained that they are correcting the problem. The salesperson was polite, curteous, and pleasant to talk with. Appears that the problem is going to be resolved. Changed the rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Will update again when more is known. Today is Dec 13.

Altering my review per customer Service Reconsideration
I gave an honest assessment of my experience with homsesecurity store at first, but with my pursuit of justice I was net with a compromise by them. Customer service decided to give some consideration for my return and considered a reduced restocking fee of 10%. I feel it was a good compromise since I am willing to pay for the restocking of an item and the financial turnover a company incurs. I feel a 10% restocking fee is more than adequate compensation for the company. Therefore I feel good about them willing to make some type of concession for receiving all their merchandise in its original packaging.

This was my second order with the Home Security Store, and things couldn't have gone more smoothly. I had some pre-purchase questions, so I called the sales people. They answered in a very timely and professional manner with useful information.
Since I am not a tech-savvy person. I called the Tech Support Department for help. I received excellent service with immediate response. What more could I ask for.
I will definitely use homesecuritystore.com again and I would recommend them to anyone as a source of home security products.

Don't waste your money buying from this joint. Shady to say the least! If you have a return forget it, you'll stay on their recorded tech line forever with no one even attempting to answer. I listened to their recording for over an hour before hanging up. This was after their customer service agent told me there were just 2 calls ahead of me, and that they had 4 techs on duty. Have purchased cameras, alarms, and other stuff from them for my 2 homes but never again!

This company are obviously paying for faked good reviews (like the fake review written under the name "Daniel Luke Pe"). Any company that does that is clearly showing that they rather pay for hiding their bad service rather than paying for giving good service.
