iRobot 505 Combo
I bought an iRobot 505 Combo less than six months ago and started having problems within the first few weeks. It never connected properly to the app From the beginning, it kept flashing that the dustbag needed emptying and showing error. I replaced it but didn’t stop the error.Then the robot started malfunctioning during mopping and left my floors soaking wet. After that, I stopped using the mopping function and only used it for vacuuming, but unfortunately, I had left it running overnight once, and this damaged to my wooden floor.About a week later one of the mop pads came off and the robot stopped working properly altogether. Since then, it has basically been unusable and has just been sitting in the room.I reported these issues months ago and escalated the complaint, hoping for a refund or replacement. Instead, the process has been so slow and frustrating. Customer service is often out of reach, and when they do answer, they ask for more details and photos and videos. Then I hear nothing for weeks. When they finally respond, they often ask for more pictures again. This has been going on for months with no resolution.After reading other reviews, I can see that many people have had very similar problems with both this robot and the company’s customer service. I really wish I had read the reviews and done more research before buying this.I’m very disappointed, both with the quality and even more with the customer service. At this point I feel stuck with a broken robot and no solution. If you are reading this review, I would strongly recommend looking into other options.

Customer service couldn't get any worse. My most recent issue is replacement batteries for my 3 year old Roomba are obsolete, rendering the vacuum useless

Roomba combo r113840
I bought roomba combo r113840 in 2023 thinking it will help me. However, it does not do anything, doesn't vacuum any good, cannot mop at all, always bumps into things, does not have any direction. At that time it was the most expensive brand in my country and I feel like an idiot for spending so much money on a device that does not do anything. I even tried to leave a review on their official site, but of course the company did not publish my bad review. Awful!!!

I had a iRobot S9+
I had a iRobot S9+. After 18 months it died because the blower motor impeller self destructed into many little pieces. When I called irobot support they said they no longer caried parts for my 18 month old machine. I escalated to management and the all of sudden they had parts. I replaced the blower motor and last week after 6 months my robot died again. The company would not stand behind their failed product this time but offered me a 20% off a new irobot. The machine was very loud but mostly unreliable. I would newer buy another product with the irobot name

Roomba Max 705 Combo – Early Failure, Protracted Replacement, and Poor Cleaning Performance
I purchased the Roomba Max 705 Combo expecting performance at least comparable to my older Roomba model, which I still own and which cleans significantly better.The first 705 unit failed after approximately two months. The mopping system did not direct water into the correct container, rendering the feature ineffective. Securing a replacement required persistent follow-up and repeated back-and-forth communication, which was unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating.The replacement unit is mechanically functional, but the cleaning performance is unacceptable for a product in this category. I run it daily on Amtico flooring in my kitchen, and it has not managed to leave the floor properly clean even once. Visible crumbs remain after full deep-clean cycles, and edge performance is consistently poor.By direct comparison, my older Roomba – although noisier and less complex – removes debris reliably and fits under more areas due to its smaller size. The Max 705 Combo appears to prioritise bulk and features over actual cleaning effectiveness.Given the early failure, the drawn-out replacement process, and the consistently inadequate cleaning performance, I would certainly not recommend this model to anyone.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Repeated Defects & Poor Support
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been beyond frustrating.About a month ago, I purchased an iRobot vacuum that never worked properly due to connectivity issues. From the start, customer service was inconsistent. I had to call repeatedly because my case was not followed up on. Instead of proactive support, I had to chase updates myself.During troubleshooting, I was asked to send photos of my personal cellphone and my modem/router setup, potentially exposing sensitive information about my home network. I complied in good faith, expecting a professional and definitive solution.After significant back and forth, a replacement unit was sent with a $50 accessory kit as a “gesture.” However, the replacement arrived physically broken out of the box.Since then, I have made over 20 calls. I spoke with supervisors (Maria and Xavier), but instead of empathy or accountability, I was offered the exact same solution again — another replacement and another $50 kit.At this point, this feels like an endless cycle of defective products and temporary fixes. The amount of time, stress, and inconvenience involved has been unreasonable.Consumers should understand that if something goes wrong, resolving it may require persistence, repeated calls, and patience far beyond what should be expected.Very disappointing.

We’re on our 3rd iRobot
We’re on our 3rd iRobot. They have always been great.However, our J9+ that we have had for 8 months has been nothing but trouble for the last month. We have done all the maintenance and necessary part replacements and it still is a problem. We called and someone who spoke very broken told us to move to somewhere else! Really frustrating. Thought they should replace it. Probably will be replacing with a Roborock! My advice is don’t buy the new ones…just not as good as past models!

Do not buy! Machine doesn't work, neither does customer service.Having previously bought and get on fine with an older model a good few years ago, bought a newer model. It worked vaguely for a few months, then broke. It's the combo with the mop. It just basically dribbles water everywhere, and nothing is cleaner! It does not map the room, does not lead to a cleaner room, and makes the most terrible noise! Customer service was appalling. Complete nonsense from them. They cite a million barriers to not being able to help you. It seems like AI answers the emails. We spoke to a person who promised all sorts of wonderful things, but these never arrived, then could not get through to a person again.

Faulty Roomba; iRobot won't pay for faulty return
I purchased a Roomba 706 Combo directly from iRobot for £699, and it has been a constant source of frustration from almost day one.The companion app is not great, on first setup it crashed constantly and it took 3 attempts to get an accurate map of the rooms. While things briefly appeared to work after this initial frustration, problems quickly escalated.The base unit repeatedly reported the dust bag as “full” despite it being barely used, forcing me to replace bags unnecessarily. Shortly after, the unit began throwing a persistent Error 517 relating to the dirty water system.This error prevented scheduled cleans from running and occurred even after thorough cleaning, multiple factory resets, and full disassembly of all removable components. This stems from a hardware fault with the Roomba; after fully cleaning and reinstalling the components there was a 50% chance that it would run one cleaning routine before the error occurred again if it was initiated manually, however it would leak dirty water in it's wake, leaving the floor dirtier than when it started, it would then leak the remainder of the dirty water into the base unit, requiring additional cleaning. I have spent more time cleaning and trouble shooting the Roomba over the past week than I would've manually vacuuming and mopping our floors every day since it was first setup just over 3 weeks ago. Which seems to defeat the purpose of having a Roomba. Eventually, iRobot agreed that the unit was faulty and approved a return for a full refund. Unfortunately, this is where the customer service experience became even worse.Although a return label was provided, multiple courier drop-off locations refused to accept the parcel due to its size. When I contacted iRobot again, I was told the only remaining option was a courier collection — but that I would have to pay for it myself. Despite the product being faulty and returned under UK consumer law, iRobot attempted to justify this by claiming I was paying for a “collection” rather than a “return”. As collection was the only viable return method, this distinction is meaningless and felt like an attempt to sidestep their legal obligations.After several phone calls going around in circles, I was left with no option but to escalate the matter via my card issuer.For a premium-priced product, this experience has been extremely disappointing. The hardware proved unreliable and fundamentally faulty, and customer service was unhelpful and overly defensive when things went wrong. I would strongly caution anyone considering iRobot products to factor in not just the cost of the device, but the risk and hassle involved if you happen to receive a faulty unit.

Can't use unuaual characters in a password.
I bought this robot combo mop and vac less that a year ago and I had no problems at all until I got a new router and had to change the wifi password which is when this all started. After contacting customer service they told me my password for the router can't be used so sorry. They wanted me to change the password and That would take me 1.5 days to redo all of them again because they can't use a # in the password.

Lousy product, worse customer service. The vacuum will not vacuum all mapped rooms. Customer service keeps passing me on to somebody else. Do not recommend!!

Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company. Since 2020 I have had the Roomba S9 and the matching Braava Jet mop which have been adequate. I have carefully cleaned and maintained them using only iRobot vacuum bags, rollers and brushes. Only to be told that they no longer make the right sized vacuum bags for my S9 to function. Be clear, my S9 still works 100%, but the company have decided that my iRobot has “reached End of Life”, and I must buy a new one, because they no longer make the right sized vacuum bags for it to operate. This is outrageous built in obsolescence by a company favours profit over the planet. In addition to this, the app never worked very well snd often I’d just start the units without the app. The actual clean was ok, if a bit irregular. Good thing I’m no perfectionists so it didn’t really bother me. The new replacement iRobot’s are ugly, plasticky, cheap and nasty looking, and you can be sure I will never be buying anything from a company that places profits over their customers and the planet. If you do buy, your unit will not work more than a few years before they decide to shut it down (whether it works or not), forcing you to buy a new one.

DO NOT BUY!!!
DO NOT BUY! I have had a nightmare with this company for over a year item purchased Jan 2025! I reported the item within 30 days via the app that it was faulty only worked a couple of times then started doing its own thing. I have called there IT team several times to troubleshoot did everything still hasn't resolved the issue. Vacuum keeps saying bin is full when its clearly not bag is empty, keeps coming in and out the docking station randomly. Its been a real nightmare and they keep asking for the same details via email over and over again they are just delaying in responding on purpose. Also the 2 year warranty is only for technical support that's it no refund which is utter rubbish. I have called multiple times for them to email me shipping label which apparently they can only send if its within 30 days. Which I did report but once again they kept delaying response on purpose. I have now contacted Klarna to help get my refund if worse comes to worse I will be contacting Trading Standards and will also start small claims court.BE WARNED DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Absolutely terrible product
Absolutely terrible product. Spent over 600€ on it and it is not capable of completing a job without encountering constant errors, or stopping mid cleaning to return home and still claiming the job was complete. Would most definitely not recommend, not worth the price.

Very late replies and when they do…
Very late replies and when they do reply they want to go over the same stuff you've previously told them, i.e serial id , purchase date etc etc all the stuff they must be fully aware of because I bought it from them and have previously contacted them. They're of no help what so ever. I also believe they're very ambiguous with what they say their vacuums can achieve. It's ruined my carpet by getting stuck and rather than just programme it to stop the wheels moving in that event they continue to turn wearing out the carpet. It also will vacuum dog poo despite them claiming it doesn't.

Roomba the Worst Vacumme on Earth
A previous customer with numerous interactions that resulted in this review. Never buy another product from this organization. Their products fail to work as designed, and their customer service is one of the world's worst, which only leads to more frustration, even at the supervisor's level. Today I have their J 10 Max, and it's garbage. Stuck with hundreds of dollars in support items and no vacuum.
