Excellent car dealer
I spoke to Dale on the phone at mid day (Sunday) and he was happy to meet me at his sales pitch at short notice….was very much appreciated as I needed a car urgently. Both Dale and James are pleasant fellows and were very knowledgeable on the vehicles they sell. They obviously do a lot of research to source decent low mileage cars. It was an absolute pleasure to buy a vehicle from these lads, they were a breath of fresh air! I’m very pleased with my Toyota aygo. Dale even threw in an extra three months warranty, a very kind gesture of goodwill. Thank you Dale and James 😁

JD Cars provided outstanding service! The gentleman was amazing from start to finish, assisting me with car insurance so I could head home and finalize my policy with HastingsDirect. He was very welcoming and kept me updated throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them.

Highly recommend this local friendly dealer
We bought my sons Aygo a year ago and have been really happy with it. We have just taken it back for its service and again the service was great, very friendly people to deal with.Wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from JD cars again and would recommend the Aygo to anybody, especially for a first car.

Personal, professional service; great cars!
My son bought his first car from JD cars and has been delighted with it. After initially making contact to describe the type of AYGO he’d like, they let him know when a suitable car came in. As soon as the car was prepped and ready, we arranged an appointment. It looked great and after taking it for a test drive, he was able to buy it and take it that evening .Four months on, he’s had no problems - just lots of happy, safe driving and independence (including a drive round the NC500) I would thoroughly recommend an AYGO as a first car, and JD cars is a great place to buy one.

Amazing customer service
We have had an extremely positive experience with JD Cars. Both James and Dale were approachable, informative and professional throughout our visit to the garage, the test drive and whilst purchasing the vehicle. The car is in immaculate condition and is a perfect first car. We would definitely recommend JD Cars to those looking for good quality cars at affordable prices!

The best customer service!
I bought a Toyota Aygo from JD cars in June after being in desperate need of a new car. Excellent customer service from Dale and James who talked me through all of my options. They were both very professional and knowledgeable, anything I wanted to know they were able to answer. The car has been well looked after and looked like it was brand new the day I came to pick it up. The entire experience was friendly and welcoming which made the buying process incredibly easy. I would happily recommend JD to anyone needing a new car, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent people to do business with, vehicle exactly as described. Car was delivered to our home at a time to suit us on a transporter on a Saturday morning. Dale replied to my original enquiry even though he was away in Wales for the weekend, overall lovely experience.

Brilliant family run business

My experience with JD cars
I bought a car from JD Cars that was advertised with a full service history and in good condition. The buying process started off smoothly, but three weeks in, I discovered the number plates didn’t match the registered number. This serious error could have led to legal trouble if I hadn’t caught it myself.JD Cars blamed their supplier and only offered an apology. They initially asked me to drive from Leeds to Doncaster with the wrong plates; completely unreasonable. They eventually agreed to post replacements, but they arrived late, with no tracking info or follow-up. As a result, I couldn’t use my car for a week.Also, beware of ambiguous claims around “full service history.” JD Cars consider a service every 10,000 miles as FSH even if the car went over two years without a service. That’s not standard. Always go through the paperwork carefully and double-check details before agreeing on a price.Poor after-sales support and careless handling of important checks. Updated after seller’s response:I am posting an update so any future buyers do their due diligence before making their purchase.I was only given two options:1) To visit (by driving a car with illegal plates) and get the plates fitted in person, or2) To post them using recorded delivery.You mentioned in your response that you were opening on Sunday especially for me, but when I asked if someone could come to fit the plates, you said you had a weekend full of appointments and couldn’t come (texts are with me) .What was upsetting is that I was asked to drive the car with incorrect number plates, which is illegal. On my refusal, you posted the plates. The plates didn’t arrive on Monday, and when I inquired in the evening, I was told I would receive them on Tuesday as the post had already gone on Saturday when you sent them. (Again texts are with me). I purchased a 15-year-old car and paid £4,850, which is not a small amount. Before I visited you, I asked if you are open to negotiating and you said Yes. Negotiation is always part of used car sales, and we agreed on the price so I don’t see how it was a favour.As for the full service history, we had already agreed on the price before checking the paperwork. You should not be advertising a car as Full Service History when it is not - simple as that. My review is intended to help other potential buyers double-check such details in advance.Anyway, thanks for your response, and best of luck going forward.

Highly Recommend
I was in need of an upgrade as I use a car daily for work. My mechanic had recommended Toyota Aygos but spent a few months looking with not a lot of look due to dodgy histories or they were a lot of money for what they were. After already being let down once by someone in Sheffield, I was rather cautious about salespeople and garages, but Dale and James made sure I was at ease and answered any questions I had. A bunch of down to Earth guys and made sure I was happy before putting through the purchase. Even drove the car to me and took away my old one that I’d part ex’d with them as I was local to them :) Thanks a bunch! Highly recommend.
