zero stars would be better. Another fake product description. The product is not free. The description is as fake and untrustworthy as the fat man with the golden hair from a banana republic. You start with credits and starts chatting with robot and you are out of credits and no video.
Why is it that they tell you it's free, and when you're done with your project, you can't export is and asks for money? This site is real bull**
The worst platform ever. I provided two logos and asked for them to be combined. One was a word, with bull horns over it, and the other was a circle with a company name around the circle with the silhouette of a mans head in the middle. I was required to buy additional credits for the AI to complete the render, 162 credits to be exact with the $24.99 plan you get 1000 credits. The resulting render after wasting approximately 15 minutes to register my account was a circle, with a half full timer clock over it. Then I asked the AI to use the images I actually provided and try making a gif of the two logos for a presentation to a client... well, that made it even worse, it created a square over the circle, and then gave an error message. That cost 214 credits. I reached out to customer support which is AI response based, I tried on Facebook, Instagram, X, and WhatsApp which the site says are easier and quicker for responses, that was two weeks ago. Evidently the AI attempted to try and recreate the renderings even after I ended the session, I found out because Kapwing just tried to hit my credit card for $678 because it kept adding credits to my card. Thankfully, they don't respond to customer service so I was able to dispute the charges and get my money back... even though I am still on the hook if they answer within 30 days with a legit response.
Tries so hard to be a legitimate video editor, but it's very basic. Some really stupid features. Outdated transitions, texts, etc. Captioning is a pain in the ass. I knew I shouldn't have used this when they tried calling it "Ka-Pwing."
Subtracts credits while generating everything but what you requested for, customer service is awful. Thank God I took the monthly subscription just to test. I cancelled it immediately I noticed the scam. The videos are awful, transition is stupid, generating is fake, AI seems like it understands what you want but goes forward generating nonsense. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!! YOU GUYS ARE THIEVES !!!!!
I subscribed for the Repurpose tool, but they went and changed it to some AI chatbot crap that doesn't function. The old version is unavailable. I have already unsubscribed, but am stuck with a yearly subscription till May. It feels like if you are selling YEARLY subscriptions, you should change tools drastically? The "help" feature was arrogant: they just said "we believe in the new tool, we are aware it mulfunctions"
im in a hurry i wanted a free app to stabilize a video. guess what it wasnt free and wasted 15 minutes that were important to me
Over my many years of using Kapwing, the product has become more and more locked off by payment. It started when they only let you make 5 unwatermarked videos a month. Then the watermark got about 33% bigger and you got 3 a month. Then none. Then you had to have a premium account for your projects to not be permanently deleted after 3 days. Then you were only allowed to have 3 open projects at a time, like they expected you to juggle work for their amusement unless you paid them $24 a month, which is a frankly ludicrous asking price given how basic a software it really is. It presents itself as a free product, and by technicality it is, and it is beginner friendly, which was why I initially started using it, but over the years it's removed features and locked others behind paywalls, treating non-premium users like absolute dirt. I hope this company is brought to its knees and two bullets are put in its head like Lenny in Of Mice and Men. Here's to a cracked copy of Sony Vegas.
1-year Subscription is charged at the start of the year and if you don’t use it the whole year, you just paid almost $300 for 1 editing job.
Not free at all. Lets you edit but then you have to buy a subscription. BS

I tried to generate some standard videos but it seems to just piggyback off other AI but cost you money. grok free version does better meme videos, albeit not as long but in much better quality and with a better interface, deleted my account within 20 minutes.
If I could give this product less stars for customer service, I would! The product does not function as advertised, every project had spelling errors, asian spelling and the scene was wrong most times, despite their errors in generating images they still charge you for generating defective images and scripts. I have been getting jerked around for 3 weeks now! I guess I will try Zebracat!
I wanted to try their tools after subscribing for a year. It turned out that I only have 1 credit instead of 1000. I used them less than 2 hours and there's no more credits. I requested for a credit usage history but we ignored. I wrote a second complaint and was ignored entirely.
“The programme is complete, but I’d like to understand why you set it to translate into UK English, yet the voice doing the translation is Indian. That doesn’t make sense. If you can’t provide a simple British-English translation, this isn’t going to work for me.

this "program" does not work. even with paid subscription, i could not export the resulted video.

We used to use Kapwing to export video links and convert them into MP4 format. It used to be free, and we were genuinely happy with the service. However, when they switched to a paid model, we had to upgrade to continue converting links. That’s when the problems started. Shortly after upgrading, we were no longer able to convert YouTube videos at all. To their credit, they did respond each time we contacted them, but their explanation was that due to a policy change by YouTube, they could no longer offer that feature. The issue is that we were made to pay for a service they were no longer able to provide. When we requested a refund, they refused, citing their no-refund policy after an upgrade. We have since cancelled our subscription and will not be using Kapwing again. We found their approach to be unethical, as they charged for a feature they knew they could not deliver.
