AI driven insurance company. Would avoid in future.
This insurance company really shows the worst of how 21st businesses are run. It's one of those typical companies with bright squiggly cartoonish fonts, bold colours and informal and over-familiar language.The reality of using this company is that correspondence comes from "Maya from Lemonade", basically a typical AI generated word salad of light hearted informal language accompanied by a (probably AI generated) avatar picture of an attractive woman. This use of a female name in AI contact seems to be a classic psychological thing that builds a fake perception of a human connection. Anyway, today I received an email from "Maya from Lemonade" telling me my policy was auto-renewing. I like insurance companies that let you log in and easily change your auto-renewal settings to switch off auto-renewal, so you can look around for the best deal. Lemonade wants you to install an app in order to do this. I see no need to clog up my phone with their app.Eventually I was able to cancel the policy, locating a well hidden option on the site, which still needed me to go through the AI chatbot. I was unable to get a human via the chat feature. The cancellation is immediate, but as I had moved out anyway this was fine. I'd be a bit more worried about how this would work if I still lived there and just wanted to switch off auto-renew.I'd be even more concerned about how Lemonade with its AI driven customer service would handle things if I had a need to make a claim. Overall, this company feels cartoonish and unprofessional, and I will make a note not to use them again. Incidentally, you can see that they issue AI responses to other negative Trustpilot reviews.

Renter Relief
During a stressful situation, Lemonade quickly responded to my Renters insurnace claim. Every step of the process was easy, and the reps approached what happened to me with kindness and understanding. I was able to replace my stolen item much quicker than expected, providing a ton of relief.

Zero customer service and knowledge
I signed up with Lemonade insurance a few years ago. They are good at collecting your money but when you need support, they only have teams in India who do not seem to care about providing you with service or help on your account. I had a question on one of my accounts and the representative did not know. She told me to hang up and call back. I called back the next person did not know either. She too told me to hang up and call back. After calling four times for an answer regarding my account, I asked to speak with a representative in the USA. The rep told me they have no way to transfer calls. I think it is time to find a new insurance company, I am concerned if I ever need them for a claim, I will encounter the same lack of knowledge. Unbelievable.

My dumb cat is dunb
My dumb cat decided he absolutely needed to get into and eat trash, naturally this lead to a blockage. Without lemonade I'd be 7000 in the hole, instead I'm look at 800. Literally a life saver. The process of filing a claim is quick and responsive. This insurance paired with care credit is the perfect combo if you have pets.

Happy Pet and Extremely ECSTATIC Mom!!
I brought my baby to the vet for her annual (wellness check and shots). Made a claim via the app, & not long after I received an email with a breakdown of an approval! Super quick and easy!! It was a direct deposit into my account I set up with during the claim process!! Way easier than the last pet insurance company I had for my last pup. I feel super lucky for my groomer suggesting Lemonade!!!

Excellent service
Excellent service. The claims get processed almost immediately and I have had no issues submitting them, the process is straightforward from the app. Most times in less than 10 mins I have already the confirmation of payment coming into my account.The policy prices are competitive for the coverage on my best friend

Lemonade Pet insurance is a rip off
Bought Lemonade pet insurance for my dog and submitted vet bill for ear infection which was denied because he had one months prior to signing up. They said it was pre-existing so denied which means every ear infection for the rest of his life would be denied even though it is an episodic event and does not have predisposing factors. So any medical problem would be denied if the animal ever had it prior to being insured.

Great rates and easy claims process
We have submitted 2 claims in the last 6 months for our puppy and both times were great!! Lemonade made the process easy, straight forward, and fast. We were reimbursed almost immediately. We have been very pleased with the rates, customer service, and claims process.
