Service is terrible, quality has sunk to all time low

I have owned over 8 Miele appliances (DW, WD, Washer) in various homes since 2009, and loved them. However, this most recent was a total disappointment. Service was farmed out and absolutely horrible, the unit gradually failed and they wanted to blame me for not knowing how to use it. Even though I had two similar models of DW. Parts for repairs are going to be 60-90 days!! I am switching to COVE. Goodbye Miele!

I previously sent you a complaint

I previously sent you a complaint, and unfortunately, you didn't address it. First of all, do you officially ship products to Türkiye? Because both your service here and you globally are unfortunately very indifferent to your customers. My washing machine has been to your service center four times for paid repairs, and I still haven't received any results. My machine won't take detergent. During these four shipments, the casing of my washing machine was scratched, and the shock absorbers broke. When the machine starts, the shock absorbers cause the drum to shake excessively and make noise. My family and I have used MIELE products for years. We've relied on your customer satisfaction. However, after this recent experience, I will definitely not recommend you to anyone, either myself or my close circle. Furthermore, due to these inconveniences, I request a replacement for my damaged machine.

Review of Miele Appliances and Support

We recently moved into a new condo equipped with brand-new Miele appliances, including a freezer, oven, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. Unfortunately, just 6 days ago, our Miele freezer completely stopped working. I contacted Miele customer support, and they told me a technician would be arranged within 1–3 days. However, it has now been 6 days, and we still haven’t received any call, update, or visit from their team.In the meantime, we’ve almost lost everything in the freezer, which is a significant cost and inconvenience for us. To make matters worse, every time we call Miele support, we wait for more than 30 minutes just to speak with someone. It’s frustrating because our previous condo had 15+ year-old Whirlpool appliances that worked far more reliably than these new “smart” Miele products. In fact, I was happier with my old Whirlpool washer and dryer than with Miele’s.Sadly, my experience so far makes me regret relying on Miele for both quality and service.

Miele cooktop failed after only 2.5 years – very disappointing experience

Miele cooktop failed after only 2.5 years – very disappointing experienceWe purchased the Miele cooktop, model KM7667 FL/R01, serial number 10853870 / 000 / 000176615146, trusting Miele’s reputation for quality and durability. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely negative. After just 2.5 years of normal use, the cooktop completely broke down. Even worse, it spent half a year in Miele’s service center, meaning we have actually used it for only 2 years in total. For a premium product with such a high price, this is absolutely unacceptable. A brand like Miele should guarantee reliability and longevity, but instead, the product proved to be unreliable and disappointing. The long delay in service made things even more frustrating and inconvenient.I strongly advise anyone considering buying Miele products to think twice, as our experience shows that they do not live up to the brand’s promises.

Handle fell off new Miele dishwasher

I purchased a Miele dishwasher 8 months ago. The handle on the door came completely off on one side. There are 4 pins on each side that hold it on. The one pin present attaching the handle fell out onto the floor. On checking the other side of the handle, there were only 2 pins in place. I called their customer service and was told that this was not covered under the one year warranty because I had accepted the installation (not knowing that I was required to lie on the floor and look at the underside of the handle with a flashlight to verify that it was attached with all 8 pins in place). I was sold by their customer service what I was told was a packet of 8 pins for $18.00 plus $15.00 for shipping. Turns out I only received 1 pin and they are $18 each. Customer service was of NO help when I called again. A letter to the CEO has been ignored. An appliance that cost almost $3000 should not be falling apart 8 months after purchase. Beware of this company which will not stand behind its products, no matter how high end they are.

I purchased two of the Miele Countertop…

I purchased two of the Miele Countertop Coffee Machines, my investment was over $4000.00. When they work, they make excellent coffee and warranty support is solid. The problems begin once you're out of warranty. After an issue, I paid $350, for a repair that took 3 weeks. It worked for four months - just beyond the 90-day repair guarantee - before failing again. Now the brew unit needs replacement. I spent an hour on the phone and only got meaningful help after requesting to speak with a supervisor. These machines are marketed as premium and should be built to last. I didn't expect core components to fail this quickly or the repair costs to snowball, and the poor customer service adds to the disappointment.

We bought a Miele washing machine T1…

We bought a Miele washing machine T1 model about 6.5yr ago, expecting it to be able to run if for at least a decade. Last week, it broke down witha horrible sound as the drum tumbling. Opened the machine, we found out the flange spider part (the part that hold the drum) has been corrosive and broken into pieces. It made by alumnium and totally corrosive. Who would make a part that in contact with detergent (which has acidity) by aluminium? This is just ethically not right as the acid would react to aluminium and create gas and salt. In between the layers of the machine are full of salt because of this reaction. Poor made and wrong choice of material. Totally disappointed. We rang customer service, they said they will send technician to come and have a look for investigation, and we have to pay nearly 300aud for that. More ridiculous, no replacing part. The original part we checked online costs nearly 900aud. Miele's advertisement mention their products can last over 20yr long. What a joke.

Servicing miele products is a…

Servicing miele products is a nightmare.Dear Miele Customer Service Team,I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service appointment scheduled for April 1st at 11:30 AM at Cosmopolis. The technician assigned to this appointment exhibited unprofessional behavior that resulted in significant inconvenience.Contact technitian: +40 738 963 546Upon contacting the technician the previous evening to confirm the appointment, I informed him about the parking restrictions at the location and suggested parking at a nearby Jysk store, which allows for three-hour parking. The technician assured me that he would handle the parking situation himself. On the day of the appointment, at 12:23 PM, I called the technician to inquire about his arrival time. He stated he would arrive in 25 minutes. Consequently, I arranged for someone to leave work to meet him at the site and provided the technician with the contact person's number. However, at 1:30 PM, I learned from the contact person on-site that the technician refused to proceed with the service unless a parking space was provided, despite his earlier assurance. This lack of communication and failure to address the parking situation as promised caused unnecessary disruption and inconvenience.I expect a higher standard of professionalism and reliability from Miele's service personnel. I request that this matter be addressed promptly and that measures be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future.Sincerely,Regards, Pollak

So bad I’d recommend never buy a Miele…

So bad I’d recommend never buy a Miele product in NZ (and that’s saying something). My washing machine (10YO) broke down just before Christmas. It was 8 January before I got a call back from Miele service centre. An aggressive woman on the phone couldn’t tell me if they’d be to get parts or even if my model had been sold on this side of the world (I’d brought it with me from U.K.). Just kept on repeating “we keep a SMALL number of parts in NZ” so I should expect to have to pay for parts from Australia if I was lucky. She was going to check and call back - 3 weeks on I’m still waiting for something that should have taken 10 min to confirm. Nobody else services Miele products, so you’re stuck with these clowns. Sadly my unserviceable Miele has been sent to the tip now and replaced by AEG.

Stunningly bad customer service for what's supposed to be a premium brand.

Miele gave by far the worst customer service I have ever had.A combination of:- booking two appointments on the app which never transpired. It doesn't work. Miele say it warns you on the first page of the app that it's not a final booking but nonetheless you then get a second page titled "your engineer appointment" and an invitation to put the date in your outlook calendar.- speaking to customer service representative about this 3 times and attempt to get an appointment earlier than a fortnight's time. Each of them faithfully promised to call me back; none of them did- an engineer turning up with a replacement part that was faulty. Then his own system didn't work to check for a part from elsewhere.- finally I wrote to the chairman of the company in Germany and the MD in the UK. Neither replied (even a standard pre-worded reply would have been a bit more gracious), but....- eventually someone from the UK MD's customer resolution team called me and basically told me off, accusing me of writing inaccuracies in my complaint letter. He kept saying "incorrect!" when I pointed out the issues and my perceptions of the failings. He asked me what I wanted, I said I didn't have a problem paying the bill as an engineer finally came and fixed it, but I had serious issues with service overall. We eventually ended the call on quite good terms in which he said he would send me some Miele household products as, I suppose, a goodwill gesture. Needless to say, he never did. But the service bill duly arrived in January, warning us we were late payers.

I would give a -5 stars if I could

I would give a -5 stars if I could! I've had a Miele upright for 25+ years, it's performed beautifully though it's very heavy. I decided I needed to get a lighter one for hauling up and down the stairs. So I got the Miele Triflex HX2, a stick vacuum specifically for pet hair cleanup (so it says). Couldn't hate it more. First, the product itself is just too small. I have to empty it out every other use. Second, the battery doesn't last very long. I have to hustle to get even one room clean before the battery runs out. Third, the damn thing is over-engineered, it that's a word. I am fairly mechanically inclined, but the dust canister is ridiculously complicated to figure out and the drawings don't help. For example, there isn't a single mention of the spring that goes inside the canister. I don't know where it's supposed to go and it isn't included in the drawings or descriptions. I 'get' that all the rigamarole is to make the canister tight, but jeez! Other vacuums are tight and snap off with one motion. And then the filter is supposed to be changeable, but hah! Fooled you! It's not. Not without taking the whole damn thing apart. Contact customer service, you say? Yeah, what a joke. Rep was downright nasty and, of course, wouldn't so much as listen to the problem or acknowledge it and refused to help me. So I took it to an authorized dealer (before the two-year warranty ran out) and he said the Miele just doesn't service their warranties. They called and requested new parts but they said it was unlikely that Miele would honor the warranty. So, six months later, still no parts. Certainly I will never buy anything from Miele again and I am telling you this so you don't, either. What a waste of money. I'd have gotten more use out of a vacuum that cost 1/4 what this one cost.

Don’t buy Miele Anymore, The company is a scam!

Don’t buy Miele Anymore! The quality has gone down the toilet! They don’t make good washing machines anymore! This is one good example, why we shouldn’t buy one. Cancelling a program accidentally made by One of your children or you can easily brush by with your Legs putting it onto a program, How stupid is this? How is this possible?? What are stupid Company they’ve become!it doesn’t matter if you follow the instructions it does the opposite, It still doesn’t work, even if you switch it off completely and leave it for a few days. I’ve had to buy another washing machine Use this when I’m desperate and have a lot of washing to do. I’ve even stuck down the controller with some tape to stop the children brushing by it. how stupid is this?Literally to the point of leaving it on to do the cycle without any clothing ,just so I can use it again. This machine is expensive rubbish, I could’ve bought four washing machines for the same price that are more reliable than this rubbish! They are Riding on the Coat tail Of their once amazing product! This machine is inferior junk, Low quality manufactured, Mass produced!Sadly, we will see this company go out of business because no one is going to buy this rubbish for these prices Are way too high!Hopefully soon will see them gone, Scamming people out of a lot of money! Nobody likes scammers?????

Supposed to be delivered within 3 days

Supposed to be delivered within 3 days, after almost a month lack of respond. No answer for emails / message via website. Hotline doesn't work / don't know how to help. After many phone calls, mails and message, they offered 15 euros discount (6,5%) - we canceled the order. Never again with Miele.

I purchased a meile cx1 blizzard model…

I purchased a meile cx1 blizzard model SKCR3 in 2021on a good sale $499. First year was no issues then I needed to start replacing parts . I used it about 3 times a week . The issue I have is the parts are so over priced and expensive . First I needed to replace the floor head $120 then the thin plastic handle which spilt in a few places $151.98. The telescopic suction tube didn’t want to stay extended and was going to be another $115 . Now I need a new filter which you have to buy the whole plastic canister as well not just the filter for $170 . By now I could buy a whole new vacuum cleaner . Was with Dyson before and replacements were well priced and reasonable . Now I wish I didn’t make the change .

Terrible customer service in NZ

This is not a review of the appliance but of the customer service. We paid for installation of the washing machine, but due to a missing part they couldn't complete the installation. We called Miele customer service daily to be told we would be contacted that day and this never happened. After 5 days of chasing we gave up and decided to do the installation with another company. Not sure if this is a Miele issue or the partners they use, but it is terrible service. No apologies from Miele or offer to quickly resolve it. I gave up and requested they refund me as I am sure I can sort this out on my own in half the time. I assumed that buying a high quality appliance would mean I receive high quality service, this is definitely not my experience and I would be wary on recommending them to anyone else.

Disappointed in after sales service

Really disappointed in after sales service after paying over $800 for a vacuum. The turbo brush needs to be cleaned every week. The build up gets quite bad and it stops rotating. I took it in to Smiths and was told they’d send it away, but I’d have to pay for a deep clean.Got to the point where I was cleaning it after every time I vacuumed. It eventually stopped rotating and I could no longer use it. I contacted Miele NZ who weren’t helpful at all. Saying I would need to pay for any repairs. I paid for a 7 year warranty, but that didn’t hold any merit.Replacing the head would cost $249.I will not be buying a Miele again.
