I purchased a replacement lamp for my JVC dla RS600u after speaking with someone at myprojectorlamps to ask a question about the lamp. I received the lamp, installed it and I’m very happy with the brightness. The light output is very similar to the original JVC I replaced. Thank you myprojectorlamp!
Bought a lamp in June 2025, lamp stopped working December 2025, contacted support, they sent out a new lamp right away as it was under warranty. Great Customer Service!

YEAR UPDATESo now that it's been over a year since I've had this bulb, I can 2000% attest to the insane value and reliability! My Epson 5050UB has been a workhorse this past year being on/off and on daily for extremely long hours and on full dynamic setting which is max brightness (it's in bright living room).Just yesterday the "replace lamp" warning finally came on which means the bulbs filament is now showing less heat resistance and can melt/blow soon. However, the picture is still insanely bright and not burned down at all, easily can last longer here!! My Epson bulbs from Epson directly lasted only 3400 hours before on my 8500 model, with one prematurely dying at 2783, all of which you could quickly and easily tell it was ready to go and dim. My OEM 5050UB bulb lasted 5663 before i replaced it with this one, and this one i can see will probably hit that close as well. Not only did myprojectorlampsusa epson brand bulb last much longer than my other models, it's still trucking AND was 1/3 the price....AAAANNNDDDD.....now the bulbs are actually even cheaper than last year!!!!!Needless to say, I ordered another. I know these are epson brand bulbs in an aftermarket housing, but thus far, its outlasted ALL my epson direct bulbs. The only thing I did was I kept a very close eye on my housing filter and replaced it the second I heard the projector fan kick on, meaning airflow is restricted and the projector is heating up. I keep mine on "high altitude" mode anyway which runs the fan at higher RPMs, but is still quieter than when the projector begins to overheat and it kicks the fan into full gear.Keep that filter clean and new to allow the fan to do it's job and cool the bulb! Lots out there say they just blow the filter out with air and put it back in......I wouldn't do that as the filter membrane is still clogged with dust and restricts airflow.Spend the $30 and just get an OEM filter from Epson, there is always a coupon for free 2 days shipping and you've already saved a killing buying a bulb here, so just spend the 30 and keep your projector cool! Let the pic speak for itself!ORIGINAL REVIEW: 7/23/23Have been using Epson only bulbs since my early 8500UB model due to the insane amount of Chinesium fake bulbs that flooded the market. Fast forward 15 years and here we are with everything doubling in price and quality remaining "borderline". I tried my hand elseware this time around with my new 5050UB's first bulb change.After exhaustive research, I chose to go with MyProjectorLamps USA as they supposedly use Epson bulbs with aftermarket housings. Now that Epson supposedly makes their own lamps in house now, its gotten very costly. So I took a chance and ordered 1.Took about a week or so for it to arrive, but sure as daylight, the bulb is marked EPSON clearly in the exact spot and stamping format as my OEM one was. The housing was indeed aftermarket, but is not important enough for me to run it. It did fit tighter and required and extra amount of force to get i to allow the screw to bite into the threads.But fired it up and its bright and clear. Time will tell as my OEM lasted over 5663 hours and was still running (dimly) with the flashing red light and replacement notice on screen. So we will see how long this one lasts. But thus far, for the literal 1/3 price of an OEM from Epson direcly, Im sold and will be a repeat customer.I probably will be ordering 2 more just to have on hand in the event supplies and cost dry up again. Just wish they also sold Filters as well and I can 1 stop shop it all from them. Well done MyProjectorLamps USA!!!
Horrible experience were three weeks into this whole experience still haven’t gotten my money back. They sent the wrong bulb when you call them. They do not listen to you. They actually literally just let you talk while they’re doing something else. Getting my refund is proving to be extremely difficult. I still don’t have my money back. They have the bulb back. They tried telling me they did not receive it. I had to provide them with the tracking number that they gave me and then they had to see that they had their bulb. I would definitely not use these guys ever again. They tried saying it was not their fault that they sent the wrong bulb. I’ve been doing this a long time changing bulbs in my projector is nothing new to me. They are extremely rude and try to talk to you like you don’t know what you’re talking about. Meanwhile, they have $120 of mine that they will not give back for some reason they also have their bulb back. I have 15,000 followers on TikTok. I’ll make sure that I bring this company up. I’ll definitely be making a post about this.By time all this is all said and done and I hopefully get my money back. It will have been over a month.UPDATE: they contacted me this afternoon to ask me to take this review down. They’re holding my money hostage at this point. They’re telling me that they don’t have the bulb that I sent them even though I have the tracking says that it was handed to somebody at their at the establishment.So like I said, they are holding my money hostage, refusing to give me my refund they called and when I told him to give me my money back, they would mimic me and laugh about it. So if they don’t give me my money back at this point, I’m going to turn them into my bank and the financial fraud department can handle it from there. I went through something like this recently I know exactly what to do.He keeps telling me that he already gave me a full refund, even though there’s nothing in my bank.All they have done so far is printed up a receipt saying that they gave me my money back, but it’s definitely not in my account. My Projector has been out for a full month now over three weeks of which I have been dealing with this company. My experience was great, as I was able to get the lamp projector and put it in myself. My projector is showing so clearly and able to actually read the words from a distance. I was able to receive the lamp within a few days and was delivered earlier than expected. Thank you for making this experience a great one.
