Utterly useless scam (not sure how it works but it can’t be genuine as nothing works)
I give this site 1 star because it is difficult to leave 0. This is a very amateur website that, as far as I can tell, uses the survey participants to test their system for them. They did no checking of the surveys before starting and only find faults when we report the faults to them. When you report a fault they as you for all the details. This is not possible as, once you have moved to starting the survey that information has gone. I am sure they use this method so that they can earn the Nectar points for themselves. I reported that the postcodes are not recognised. Their answer was that it is not their problem but a 3rd party. So, at what point, do they accept any responsibility for the failures of the system. The surveys usually go on for about twice as long as advised.A very haphazard and and disturbing experience considering many companies use the information gained from these surveys helps them plan their future.
Hard to not reach the conclusion that this is now nothing more than a scam.It is a common issue that you get to the end of a 15-20 minute survey and, when you return to the Nectar Canvass website, apparently the survey was closed early and you get 2 points instead of the promised 200. Customer service, outsourced to God knows where, couldn’t care less. The excuse, every single time, is that apparently my answers didn’t meet “quality control”, whatever that means. I’ll bet the survey paid Nectar Canvass, though. They just don’t want to pass on their cut, so they don’t.It used to be a decent enough way to get a few extra Nectar points when on a bus journey or similar. But now? It’s hard not to think it little more than fraud.
I have been doing their surveys for many years (although not sure why) and they continually close surveys early after actually completing the survey. Also, just started a survey today and got so far in the initial question and it closed "due to the server being down". Generally even though I believe I am fairly quick answering the questions, the time they state to complete surveys are way longer than it states, e.g. 1 0 minute survey can take almost 20 minutes. The rewards are definitely not worth the time and effort involved. I would avoid unless you are bored or desperate to earn a few nectar points.
I made a terrible mistake and have learnt a lesson. Immediately after leaving my 5 star review my account was suspended!! I emailed nectar surveys and questioned why and I was referred to a breach of their terms and conditions. I read them twice and still couldn’t understand why I had been suspended. I emailed them again to seek clarification and have just received another email referring to their terms and conditions. I had also telephoned the number they give online and was put through to an Indian call centre. I was told they were nectar and would have to contact nectar surveys. After finishing the call I googled the number for nectar surveys which was exactly the same number! I give up.
Useless, pointless SCAM!!!
Definitely worth doing!I've been doing Nectar Canvass Surveys since July, just started occasionally, and now I've challenged myself to get at least 200 nectar points per day between now and the end of November, which is £1 a day, sure, it's not much, but it will all add up and help towards Christmas food shopping, which as we're currently a single income household due to injury, it really helps. And I just tend to get this done at the start of my day, or on my lunch break (since where I work, I've got nowhere to go and nothing else to do)It is still a little annoying getting rejected from surveys when I have my profile 100% complete.
I made a query wondering why I was not receiving any survey invitations. They then replied to me saying my account has been suspended for violations. I know I have done nothing wrong. I will be taking this further and I will make sure they get punished for this it is out of order what they have done. Didn’t even have the courtesy to send me an email originally letting me know my account has been suspended.
I've been trying this for a while. It always comes up with several surveys but more often than not lately won't let me continue with them after some 'pre-qualification' questions. These pre-qualifications seem to have become more and more extensive and, of course, you only get a token gesture of points (usually 2) if you're not selected for the full survey. I have completed a few surveys in the past and been 'paid' points ranging from 20 to occasionally over 100. But lately the pre-qualification seems to have got longer and longer and led to fewer actual surveys. I can't remember the last time I actually got on a survey. I have now withdrawn as it's a waste of time for very little reward.
I had around 3,700 (£18.50) nectar points on my card which I tried to spend at Sainsbury’s. They only let you spend in multiples of £2.50 however. I had the idea to do a few surveys, get 300 points, round my money up to £20 & get £20 of free shopping. Big mistake! I signed up for the website, did the first survey for 40 points (10 mins work for 20p). It asked me personal questions which I answered. While doing my second survey, I got a phone call from a scammer who knew my name saying I was in debt - which I am not. This made me realise the site is just a direct line to scammers & marketeers (the next day I got a scam call again about my Vodafone bill being overdrawn - I said that I wasn’t with Vodafone & they hung up). I stopped doing surveys after the second one & made a grand total of 40p for about 20 mins work. I left my account open until they added the points to my card (3 days) so I wouldn’t lose them. In that time I got 7 emails from them begging me to come back & do more surveys. They want shutting down honestly.
Practically completed the nectar survey about American Express Cards when there was a computer error. This has happened quite a few times on nectar surveys so i will not be taking part in any more. It seems like once they have the more relevant information its easy to say you're not compatible to the survey or computer error you out.
Like many others I completed a long survey giving full textual answers based on real experience. Then at the end I gave my email and phone number so EE could contact me for followup. Then it decided that I wasnt a match for the target group. When I contacted them for an explanation there was no understanding of how frustrating this was so I am totally disincentivised to start any more of their surveys. Why cant they eliminate early in the survey like IPSOS and Y-Live do ?
Surveys ask pointless questions and take at least three times longer to complete than they say. I strongly advise against this if you value your time.
Data harvesting scam, repeatedly closes the survey early or you waste twenty minutes and it closes it.Complete waste of time
A waste of time and effort!!! Either the survey finished early so didn’t need my input or I got halfway through it gathered the information it required from me after 10 minutes on a 20 minute survey then kicked me out, wouldn’t let me back in and didn’t give me the nectar points. Tried 3 times on varying length surveys without success. Will not be doing on again & very likely won’t shop in Sainsbury’s again if this is the way they allow their customers to be treated!!! A total scam, I’m surprised it’s allowed to continue given all the negative responses.
Absolute Scam. Four times I got to the end of long winded surveys and pressed continue, only to be confronted with a page that said cannot confirm submission. Then wouldn't let me return or back in. Absolute Joke.
CON!!! Do not waste your time with this, they kick you off surveys half way through them, the time they state to do the surveys is always wrong. This is a complete con.
Used to be Good now all that's happening is the surveys I'm doing are letting me complete the whole survey then saying the survey isn't for me theses surveys are collecting all my info and they say they don't tell third parties I'm now getting 200 spam emails a day which I've never had before and as I dont use my Email address or phone to shop online the only way possible for these spams is this Nectar Canvass I'm now finished with it do not use if you don't want your info all over the Web I'm going to delete my account
Will take HUGE amounts of data, waste loads of your time, tell you you are the correct cohort fo the study and then take load of dat from you only to be rold after 15 minutes taht you don't qualify. when you contact the customner "service", they couldn't care less.
