This dealership is a huge ripoff
This dealership is a huge ripoff! I was sold a vehicle which has a problem of the engine not sure if it wants to stop or not while driving at a steady speed. There was a recall on this same problem and supposedly repaired. It did for about two weeks then went back to doing the same thing. I took the vehicle in 9 times for the same problem. Although one mechanic told me they had lots of those vehicles come in for the same issue and another tell me to either drive slower or faster than the speed at which it occurs, then the service manager himself asked the mechanic who test drove with me and made the comment to drive faster or slower if it was the transmission, none of what THEY said was documented. I went to arbitration and because they did not log what they told me it ended up being my word against theirs. I should have listened when past employees of the company and past customers told me not purchase a car or take my car to them for service because they can write one thing and tell you something else. I found that to be true because of a conversation I had with someone in arbitration at the time I was driving off the lot immediately after the past employee told me they weren't able to do anything because they couldn't find the problem. The arbitration person said her paperwork shows they replaced an item but the paperwork I had states nothing was wrong and the female employee apologized because they weren't able to find anything wrong. In the end, I was told that in order to obtain a new vehicle I would need a cosigner because of my credit. Two days later I went to Lynch Chevrolet and drove off their lot with a 2019 Chevy Trax, a $200 down payment and they used my credit score. NO CO-SIGNER NEEDED. PALMEN MOTORS' finance manager C.L. is a HUGE liar along with the service department. I have since signed paperwork for a voluntary recall and have told everyone I know not to go to Palmen or any of their affiliated car dealerships for a vehicle. As a matter of fact I want them to remove my address from their mailing list and to not contact me ever again. I now refer everyone I know to Lynch Chevrolet in Kenosha.
