"Trailing Interest"

I used to consider PayPal somewhat for the customer until this week. First my scheduled payment via PayPal website was late (WTF??? how it was scheduled weeks ago) Secondly because I was aggravated with their BS, I paid off the ENTIRE account - only to find I had "trailing interest" as the supervisor informed me. I then informed her I plan on filing a complaint with our attorney general - which then she courteously waived the trailing interest. NEVER AGAIN... Adios PayPal.

Last couple transactions people made…

Last couple business transactions people made were put on hold. Literally had to wait several days to get the money and that’s only after talking to customer service for probably over an hour trying to figure out how I can get my money. I had to inconvenience the client and have them go back in and fill out a bunch of stuff on an email just so I can get the money he happily paid after receiving material. The client was even saying how bad they are and he doesn’t use PayPal . He made it clear to me that he won’t be using them either just for what he had to go through. What a poor business model. Chasing people away before they even get a chance to use them. I literally had my client apologizing on behalf of PayPal to me. The whole business transaction was on the up and up and very positive. Unfortunately, the only negative interaction was due to PayPal, which says a lot. I actually care about my clients and the business transactions that take place. The last thing I wanna do is inconvenience my client because PayPal can’t get it together. Pretty pathetic in my opinion. This is not a good look for this company and they don’t seem to get it or even care for that matter. Initially they wanted to hold my money for almost 30 days. I asked them how can a small business survive when they have to wait 30 days to get paid simply because we’re using their platform. There was no clear answer. They just stuck to the script and kept telling me I have to inconvenience my client to get paid. Now they want me to send them document information about my business to prove I’m a legitimate person and business. Crazy thing is I’ve had an account with them close to 18 years. PayPal is a sinking ship that thinks it’s too big to go under. I’m over them. I will be deleting their app. I will not be using it anymore. It’s simply not worth it.

PayPal sided with buyer on digital service, ignored evidence, froze funds, and permanently closed my account

I provided a paid digital training course to a customer. The service was delivered, access was granted, and I submitted clear evidence of delivery and usage after the buyer opened a dispute.Despite this, PayPal automatically refunded the buyer, stating that digital services are not eligible for meaningful seller protection — something that is not clearly enforced or communicated during normal business use. What made this worse:After refunding the buyer, PayPal classified my account as high riskThey then placed an additional hold on funds already paidFinally, they permanently closed my account with no transparent explanation, no opportunity for meaningful appeal, and no proportional reviewThis shows a serious problem with PayPal’s handling of digital services and training businesses:Evidence is requested but effectively ignoredSellers carry all the risk, buyers carry noneAccount closures are executed without due processIf you sell digital products, online courses, consulting, or training, understand this clearly:PayPal can refund buyers, freeze your funds for up to 180 days, and shut down your business overnight — even when you deliver exactly what was sold.I strongly advise digital service providers to use alternative payment processors that offer real seller protection and transparent dispute handling.

I have a paypal mastercard and was approved for $4000 a month ago they cut my limit to half $2000 with no warning or reason and i let that go. I also have a paypal credit account that I was approved for $4100 and today again with no reason or warning they cut my limit to $1600. These accounts were at less than half the limit and I have always paid on time or even early with more than the monthly payment. I spent 30 minutes with customer service and received generic responses, now this will impact my credit score and credit usage. This is completely unacceptable especially for a good standing and responsible customer. Please do not accept a credit card or credit account from them they will cut your limit regardless of good or bad standing.

PayPal doesn’t have customer service

PayPal doesn’t have customer service. They messed up my account and their response was for me to transfer money, which would cost me a $14 fee, which is wrong because they messed up. I was put on hold to talk to a supervisor. 30 minutes later, no supervisor. You would think that such a large company would have customer service.

I was trying to simply transfer some…

I was trying to simply transfer some money sent, to my bank account. How I sent my own money from my bank to pay pal is insane. I could not find an easy way to just send the balance to my bank! I tried to cancel because I can not have any money come out if my bank because I don't have the money in there!!! Oh no, no way to cancel after two seconds of making this error! Why!? Now it's out of my account but guess what? It's not in my pay pal account, its in the friggin clouds somewhere for two days! I don't have two days to wait for this money!!!! I need to put it back now! I am canceling this right after I get my money put back. Then I'll lose three bucks to instant transfer because I can not wait another two/three days. I am furious that this couldn't be addressed immediately after I did it to avoid all this.

Doesn't protect customers from scams

Even when provided with large amounts of undeniable evidence that I was sold a fraudulent/scam product, Paypal wouldn't refund me as I technically received my item. Any reasonable business would have taken one look and realised the situation, but Paypal is not one of them.

Screwed again by paypal.

I was with paypal for nearly 20 years when I was first active on ebay. Then ebay bought them out and the first thing to go was "customer service". Ebay screwed things up so badly that I closed my accounts after they changed all the rules and started treating their long time customers like manure.Ironically, I was forced to sign up with paypal recently because one of my vendors insisted on using only paypal for all payments, [thanks Wested].My first, and last, three purchases were a nightmare.I'm still waiting for a refund after 11 days and my last paypal transaction came out of my bank account 23 May and the vendor has still not received payment.Beware, you will receive nothing but useless BS from their off shore "customer service" agents.Hey, John Rainey, you're doing a lousy job sunshine.Avoid using paypal at any cost. If your vendor insists on using them, find another vendor. So far paypal has ripped me off to the tune of $937.50 and there is no way for me to recover that money without going the legal route which they know will take years and cost plenty.Think about this, by signing on, you're giving paypal permission to pillage your bank account and there is nothing you can do about it.PAYPAL will screw you every time !

I had a paypal account for close to 18…

I had a paypal account for close to 18 years. Never had an issue with them until a week ago.On Sunday I was locked out of my account because the system demanded a cell phone number in order for me to log in. I have had the same pass word and account for approximately 18 years. It would not recognize my code. Finally after multiple attempts I was completely locked out. Spent 2 hours waiting on the ***@ phone to get help. Finally gave up. Tried emailing, but the system would not let me because it demanded a cell phone number I did not have.Spent an hour on the phone yesterday with a staff member who refused to send me an email passcode to my office as I was at work and by the time I would get home the code would be stale dated. He informed me that it would not, but sure enough, when I got home it was stale dated. Because it was after 6:00pm I could not phone them a second time.Followed up this afternoon. The young woman tried to resolve the problem, but for some reason could not make any changes to my account. She suggested cancelling the account and I set up a new one. Returned home to set up a new one only to discover I could not do this without a cell phone.Since I don't own a cell phone and have no intention of ever getting one, I am now denied service. What a lousy; stinkingcompany. Maybe I am better off with out them. We are clearly living in a society where big business wants to monitor your ass to death. That is when they are not trying to kill you with their Poison Covid vaccines and taking you off all social media just because you have the audacity not to agree with them.

Can't sign in because you forgot your password? Well, no matter what they say, it does not work . . . it just says, "Something went wrong on our end." No kidding! Can you call them? NO! They give no phone number and they want you to sign in for help. Duh! I CAN'T sign in and it WON't email a password. They have ZERO customer service. Absolute zero. I would give less than one star, but I was forced to give one.

Customer service is terrible, I can't update my info. Keeps saying invalid after I even validated my number. They will always side with thieves on ebay. You can sent a correct product and anyone can dispute it, and send back something else keeping the money and your product.Customer service was very rude

Out $118.00 postage. Scam

I ordered an item for $123 they send the wrong item. I have to send it back to China, the postage is $118. When they get it back I will get my $123 refund. So what these means, thank you PayPal, is I spent $118.00 for nothing at all. They will have the item back. I will get my $123 back. And, then I am out $118 for return postage for an item I did not order. The item they sent was 1/2 the price of what I ordered.

Sold an item on eBay

Sold an item on eBay. Buyer refused delivery, then filed a case with eBay and lost (no returns or refunds). Buyer then filed a case with PayPal and ended up getting a full refund. So I guess we can just win bids on eBay, never accept delivery, and get a full refund and seller eats shipping costs and restocking fees too? Screw PayPal. Don't use them unless absolutely necessary.
