Company went out of business and good ridden.
After my doctor accidentally wrote a prescription for a generic medicine that costs $750/mo and $720 for the name brand (weird?! Only at R-Aid!), I was told they do not have it in stock. They never have and never do. I have been taking this medicine every 28 days to the day for over 18 months, yet they never have my script in stock. It takes TWO days to order and receive medications, to boot. As I have in the past before, I asked for a transfer to get it at another R-Aid location. The pharmacy tech has ZERO idea what she was doing (she's probably only 18 or 19 to be fair), and told me I had to call around to find it. That's not true. I had several techs and pharmacists call it over to another R-Aid after checking the other locations' systems. Not only is one of the male associates incredibly rude and I had to politely remind him what he gets paid for so he stopped being disrespectful (would not take a gov't ID for CIV substance; only a DO bc he needs to "scan it" - which is untrue - he just didn't want to enter it manually until I insisted he gets the pharmacist who completed the process under 30 seconds)! With the first prescription mentioned, they called another store and told me they transferred the script there. So I called on my way to get it (VERY out of the way. Maybe 20 mins added travel time, each way), and a rude tech told me they received the request but I had to call the original pharmacy to have them "send the prescription over to them"?! I thought you heard from them? They called and yet you need me to call and tell them to transfer it? Ok!) - so I called the other pharmacy, my original Pharmacy, and had them transfer the prescription. When I came into the store to pick it up, another rude female pharmacy tech told me, " well. We haven't received the prescription transfer yet so you'll have to wait. It could be 30 mins to an hour, so take a seat."After the second rude instance, I sat down quietly until I heard the pharmacist say he received it already and was filling it to the same associate that told me to take a seat. Within 10 minutes it was filled. Why all the runaround, and why do I have to call each of the Pharmacy locations to have the prescription transferred? This is been a long-standing customer service issue with Rite aid, and I would imagine coincides with why they are finally bankrupted entirely. When you don't have the respect for the customers that you serve, nor do you have an app that allows you to even see a prescription when it is newly written, it leaves you guessing as to why you're using that Pharmacy as for your insurance company, and why they would choose that particular company. So, after much deliberation, I am exuberant that Rite Aid is closing! I am now able to get my medicines at another Pharmacy that actually cares.
So the stores are closing and I guess they just said to heck with customer service. I got a text that my son's prescription was ready for pickup. I drive all the way over there from the other side of town to the drive thru only to be told that they can't find my son's prescription which is a controlled substance, and that I would have to come back later. I told her I could wait as I was on the last of my gas. She replied "No ma'am, we have other prescriptions to fill." I said I am a customer too and I am standing in front of you, so my prescription should take precedence, especially since you texted me and told me it was ready for pickup. She said "Well you're sitting, and you're going to have to come back later because we only have one other associate." I asked to speak to a manager about the inconvenience, and he told me they were inconvenienced too since they had to look for it. THEY were inconvenienced??? They get paid to fill scripts I don't get paid to drive all the way across town for nothing.
I started an injectable medication a couple months ago. The first time I needed a refill they didn't have it, but didn't call me. I found out on a Friday evening, and was told to call around and ask other Rite Aid pharmacies had it in stock. I made 6-8 calls and nobody had it. My medication was late. Tonight my husband went to pickup this drug, again Friday, after I gave them a week to fill it. He was told they no longer fill that drug!! No other options, no phone call!! Of course he went off on her, but there's no empathy anymore. There pharmacy has turned over everyone that used to work there. I should have left sooner. This is negligence as far as I'm concerned. Yes lit is your job to notify us of this kind of change!! Unbelievable.
I usually get my prescriptions filled overseas, but occasionally over the past several years I’ve had to get them filled at this Rite Aid. I’d estimate having done this about 20-25 times. I kid you not when I say that they have gotten my prescriptions completely wrong 100% of the time. They have NEVER ONCE filled out a prescription correctly. On three separate occasions, they filled prescriptions for several months worth of meds by giving me a bottle with 1 pill in it. Let me say that again: 1 pill. No joke. And they always have an excuse as to why this happened (some obscure legal issue, change of policy, a mistake on the GP’s part, or of course just blame the patient, which is always a go to option). The level of ineptness is amazing.
Overall average experience !!The service of the staff could be an area of improvement
Rite Aid pharmacy didn't disclose ingredients or harmful side effects to the medication they gave me (M 40), first time ever receiving it, and as a result the medication damaged my heart, cost me my job, and all of my savings. When I confronted them about this, they told me that I didn't know what I was talking about, and to "Go F Myself" even though they already verified that i was in their system and received said medication. Bay Parkway in Brooklyn. Very nasty people. The place is actually being closed down tomorrow over a different issue. I will ABSOLUTELY be suing them.
Worst experience.
Worst experience ever. The items I was searching for was out of stock. Only few items I got and I had to purchase it at higher price.
Horrible just horrible and now they’ve stopped paying vendors again you know what that means, it’s a very disgusting company! They need to be honest with the public about closing! Its imminent!
The service is very poor, the items are out of stock and the staffs are too rude and slow.
Wow! The pharmacist was so rude to my wife at the Brooklyn location (3rd Ave& 93rd St). She was in Brooklyn for a family matter, she needed a temporary prescription filled. Instead of offering advice/assistance to help her, the pharmacist replied “Do you want it or not!” She embarrassed my wife in front of customers and caused her undue stress.
This place used to be decent, but now it’s just a mess. Shelves half empty, prices are too high, and the staff don’t seem to care. Pharmacy is the worst—always slow, and they never have stuff ready when they say they will. Not worth the hassle.
Tired of these brands lying! They say "moisturizing" but my hair stays dry or greasy. Overpriced junk with bad ingredients. And customer service? Useless. If I’m paying $30, it better WORK. Never buying again.
I have been a Rite Aid customer in different cities for many years. I am currently in Tehachapi, and our local store is always on time with my prescriptions and I never have long to wait to pick them up. Parking lot kind of sucks, but otherwise easy to use.
My disabled, elderly client just moved to the area a month ago and switched to Rite Aid pharmacy since it's the closest to her home (mind you she doesn't drive). It's been a headache since. This place can't even fill a prescription after a week and a half. They keep using the excuse of being under staffed. My client is diabetic and completely out of insulin!!!! We called it in over a week ago! We went last week to pick up her prescriptions and they filled 2 she had plenty of and never asked for those prescriptions to be refilled. Then two of the ones she did request to be filled they never refilled and still a week later haven't refilled! It's one excuse after another! They never answer the phones. You can't get through to anyone. Even the staff are rude and completely unhelpful.Should have taken one of the ladies staff members advice when we first transferred my client's prescriptions there.... She stated that they're completely understaffed and wouldn't recommend that if we want our prescriptions within a reasonable time we go somewhere else.
Regarding Rite Aid on Painter & Whittier Blvd. It’s bad enough that their ice cream is always down due to their problems with their freezers, I called on 12/15/24 to see if they were up and running because I’ve been longing for a double scoop of chocolate cone, of course they didn’t have any chocolate which was on the menu so I went to get a gallon out of the freezer and asked if I can buy a cone, well I couldn’t because theirs no code to charge me, 🤦♀️ I asked if they sell cones and they told me aisle 19, which this man that worked there went to double check and all they had was two packages of waffle cones, I looked at the man and asked him can you just give me a cone and right away he said NO! I went back to the register and asked the lady who that man was and she said one of the managers… unbelievable… it’s bad enough nowadays that people are rude, people stealing, companies don’t give a hoot, there is no JOY or HUMAN KINDNESS in this world… this is so sad…Sorry for the long review, needed to vent… it wouldn’t have put them out of business to give me one…
Purchased 8 oz Robitussin CF from Rite Aid for 20 dollars, the exact same item is available at Walmart for 12 dollars.
What Happened To RITE-AID??? The Shelves Are Completely Empty!!! Are They Going Out Of Business ???
Im so sick of this of the rite aid in Johnstown,Pa they have severely poor service and refill times and horrible customer service it shouldn't take 7 hours to fill damn prescriptions thats uncalled for and just lazy and to be that incompetent and they get an attitude with you because you come to pick your prescriptions and their still not done 7-8 later after you been at doctor's and they call it in i can't wait for all these incompetent, lazy rite workers to lose their jobs it does seem like they want to work anyway so it will be doing them a favor and everyone else who has to deal with these ass lazy ignorant people.
