Full marks, just like last year
Just back from my annual month-long stay in Whistler. Like last year, I rented a fully-specced DH bike from Summit Sports and like last year, I could not fault the experience. On the day that I collected the bike, Phil welcomed me with a personal handshake, which was a nice touch. And from there, it got better still. The bike was a Commencal V5, and it was awesome. Every 5 days or so, the shop gave it a maintenance check-up, staff were competent, attentive, and always there for a bit of banter and a chat, time allowing. I received great advice on tweaking the bike and they even fitted wider grips for me (which I purchased in-shop). Full marks. I will rent again from Summit next year on my annual pilgrimage to the bike park.
