First, sunbasket meal kits are sooooo good. Unlike competitors, almost everything is organic, easy to prepare and delicious. Their protein options vary and the recipes are really interesting ! If there are issues with the product or delivery they offer reasonable solutions.
I've subscribed to Sunbasket for 5 years. They are great, I'd highly recommend the quality of the food and clear recipe instructions. My only complaint is the delivery company they use where I live (San Francisco) has a terrible tracking facility and sometime the delivery doesn't show up.
I’ve had no problems with Sunbasket. The meals are great and customer service is excellent.
I have been with Sunbasket for at least 6 or 7 years. I have tried multiple other food delivery but by far Sunbasket continues to have quality ingredients, nutritious, thoughtful meals. It helps me stay on track eating a varied healthy diet with a busy schedule. Thank you for what you do!
We’ve been customers of Sunbasket for approximately 6–7 years, and we’ve generally liked the food quality and meal options. Unfortunately, delivery reliability has become a recurring and serious problem.Roughly half of our last 10 deliveries have either arrived a full day late or not arrived at all. This isn’t an isolated incident — it’s an ongoing pattern. We’ve contacted customer service multiple times, but despite assurances, nothing has improved.For a weekly meal subscription, dependable delivery is essential. When meals arrive late or not at all, it defeats the purpose of planning and paying for the service. It’s disappointing to experience this level of inconsistency after being a loyal customer for so many years.

I’ve used 6 different meal delivery services since 2017/2018 and Sunbasket is by far the best I’ve had. Meat and veggie quality, recipes, portion sizes, ease and more. I am literally happy (euphoric even) after cooking and eating every night. Please do not change a thing!
I have been a member for over 7 years. We went out of town for a month and Sunbasket wanted to send the meals to where we were. They sent the next meal to the wrong address. Did not notify us via text or email about the next delivery and were not interested in making it right. I was on hold for over a half hour with customer service and then they cut me off. They cancelled my subscription after more than 7 years and were incredibly rude. Food was decent but customer service is the worst.
My shipment did not arrive and I had to shop empty shelves for food over the holiday.
I was really hopeful about trying Sunbasket because of their allergy-friendly and organic options. However, on multiple occasions, I was supposed to receive organic items but instead received a card in my box saying those items were “not available.” Despite this, I was still charged the regular price each time.I eventually decided to cancel my subscription and did so on a Tuesday. I even noted the date on my calendar to be sure. Several days later, I was charged again. I tried calling multiple times to resolve this, but after being on hold for 15–20 minutes, the calls would drop. When I finally reached an agent through the website chat, I was sent a Word document table claiming I canceled on 12/13 — a date I know is incorrect because I was on a plane that entire day.I’m very disappointed with this experience and the lack of accountability. I had high hopes for Sunbasket’s values and customer care, but this situation has left a bad impression. I’ll be returning to Green Chef, which has been much more reliable and transparent in my experience.
Addendum 01/12/2026:We continued this subscription with out cancelling while we searched for suitable replacement. Since posting this review, however, we have received all deliveries on our schedule date for the last 5 weeks. Overall we are satisfied with both the quality of the food and the timeliness of the order being received on our scheduled day. I have upped this original review rating to four stars, however, the original complaint below I am leaving intact as I believe it's important to provide context to where the rating was at two stars to the current rating. Hopefully, the delivery issues are behind us and we will continue to purchase meals each week. Thank you for not only your response below but for what appears to be a correction to the original issue. _________________________________________This has been going on for months! We are loyal customers that order between 3-4 meal kits *a week*. Even though Sunbasket may have a higher price point than other 'Like' services, we have stayed with them.. because... the food / meal kits can be tailored to specific diets including: Gluten Free, Keto, Mediterranean, Low Carb, etc and they are fantastic. The problem has generally not been with the food or meal kits (although we have had some kits with rapidly degrading food). So, I want to be clear the low rating is factored almost exclusively to their delivery service which quite frankly sux - bad. We signed up for and expect to receive our meal kits on Mondays, Tuesday at the outset and ONLY if that is because of a Monday Holiday. Otherwise, Monday is our day to receive the order. Instead however, week over week for almost this entire 2025 year, we have experienced one delayed shipment after another to the point it is now happening every week and we are quite frankly FED UP WITH IT! The last straw came this week when we *once again* complained that the meal kits preordered did not arrive (and still haven't arrived at this writing on a Tuesday)... only to get this lackluster CSR response back: "We're sorry about the delivery being late, but we are not responsible for the shipping companies delays." What the... RYKM???!!! Not responsible?! WE ARE **YOUR CUSTOMERS** NOT THE SHIPPING COMPANY! We pay good money for your product and depend on these meal kits during the week as we don't keep raw foods for creating our own meals. The whole purpose of having this delivered is so that we can have high quality ingredients to put on our dinner table and in relatively short order (hour or less to make). As of today we are cancelling this service and seeking another one to give our business to. For anyone that reads this and is considering Sunbasket, be aware you may or may not get your order on time. They failed us. Enough is enough already...
Very fast to fix my problem of billing
My experience has been a great experience with they're delicious tasty pre-prepared meals and I will be purchasing soon more meals from them.

Although the customer service rep was great the company itself did not refund me after I cancelled the order the day I ordered as they said it was past the wi wi window and prior to my shipment being shipped or delivered … I should have received a refund d and order not shipped
During the rare times there is an issue with my order, Sunbasket always resolves the problem quickly and fairly.
Love the service. The food was good, but not to kid’s satisfaction unfortunately.
Food is great but couriers are unreliable and unresponsive when they fail to deliver.
