Sunstrong Incompetence

Sunstrong assumed control of Sunnova's assets due to Sunnova filing for bankruptcy. I had autopay setup with Sunnova for over a year and we were told that would transfer over and no action was needed on our part. When the first payment was due they contacted me and said my credit card on my autopay was invalid. But what really happened was when they transferred my account the payment data was corrupted. So I updated everything and they told me my payment was processed successfully. Now one week later they are calling and texting me telling me I have missed a payment. The BBB Grade F they have must of been well earned. What an incompetent company.

Non-working site and app, and lack of communication

Recently transferred from Sunnova.1. The website is not functional, so I’m unable to create an account or view any account details.2. The mobile app cannot be set up properly and is not working as expected.3. Lack of communication on the terms of takeover and waht happens after. Nothing gets sent except the bill.

As a customer

As a customer, this company slowly declined removing features from their customer software application in order to get you to subscribe for their services when this was never in the agreement. Customer service cannot be reached when repairs are needed. Overall, this business is unreliable and untrustworthy.

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. I was contacted and asked intrusive personal income questions, and then they insisted on speaking with my wife—even after I made it clear that I was handling the matter. I told them that if this was going to be a deal breaker, I was okay walking away. At that point, the representative abruptly ended the call. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how things might go after making a purchase. Not the kind of company I want to do business with.

Has to be one of the worst companies in…

Has to be one of the worst companies in the world and a blue print on how to fail as a business. multiple phone calls ticket after ticket no response. They cannot possibly last much longer. I think maybe the federal gov should look into them

Sunpower/SunStrong BUNCH OF CROOKS

I am writing to warn people about SUNSTRONG SOLAR. I signed on originally with Sunpower and they went bankrupt. Then Sunstrong took over and frankly they aren't any better. I stopped paying my lease because they have been NOT ADDRESSING THE LEAKING ROOF FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS....I notified them of the "smell of water " when the panels were installed and they gave me some poop and bull story that didn't address anything. I FINALLY went into the attic during a rainstorm and the water was running down the joists. I HAVE spoken to them over and over and over and over again and all I get is that they are "working to get someone out here" Since I have stopped paying for NOTHING they shut off my panels and hit my credit rating which was excellent but now is down in the 600s. I am beside myself. NOBODY IS DOING ANYTHING TO HELP ME! There is a case with the attorney general in the state of CT but this is seemingly stalled. IGIVE UP IS EVERYBODY CROOKED? I WOULD NEVER EVER GET INVOLVED WITH ANY OF THIS AGAIN! WORST IDEA EVER!!!

System has not worked since last April

System has not worked since last April. Leading up to bankruptcy and convinced you decided not to provide people service even after they got purchased by a complete Solaire nothing has changed. They need to be regulated if they sell long-term leases because they are not financially stable. Even the new company police Solaire their stock trades at about $1.97. They don’t deliver what they promise in the contract and they expect you to still pay. My utility bill was almost $5000 because the system was not working and I’m facing retirement. My brother is a 30 year marine that went fall for this country and those executives and his system is not working as well. Sunpower and complete solar. Are they absolutely worst people I’ve ever dealt with don’t believe anything good on this review because there’s nothing good about the companies.

amazing service

Warren Grennan is the life saver for our solar panel. After suffering the bankrupt of sunpower (none of the customer service number is working), we are so happy to have it fixed. Strongly recommend.

Sunpower Performance Guarantee…Sunpower not paying up

We initiated a Performance Guarantee claim in May 2024 and were provided a confirmation in July that Sunpower would be issuing us a refund for $944.14 based on the performance guarantee and that we would be getting an email from Best Payment Solutions (company that handles these reimbursements). Have not received anything to this date-- have called Best Payment Solutions they point the finger back at Sunpower---complete run-around. Contacted Sunpower, keep kept getting the billing department they have no answers and no resolutions. I have a documented paper trail that they owe us, but yet can't get them to pay up. Called 10-14-2024 - waited on hold 74 minutes only to be told that they have a ticket open but no path for resolution...worst company I have ever done business with.

Sunpower is garbage

Sunpower is garbage. I don't mean common garbage but garbage of the highest degree. Image cooking the books ,lying to stock holders and customers then kicking the can down the road. None of them can likely even spell ethics customer service or provide a definition of either. 13 months with broken equipment and they still want money. I hate sugar coating the way this makes me feel !

I was tricked into installing solar…

I was tricked into installing solar panels with Sunpower with 3rd party Skysolar located in Burbank, CA. Ive had nothing but malfunctions and problems since day 1 (June 2024). I received another email this week from Skysolar warning me of a malfunction issue and they told me to call Sunpower directly to initiate a work order. This is Day 3 and no response from Sunpower who are in Chapter 11 and no longer have customer Service. Thinking about hiring an attorney to go after Skysolar who have a brilliant Salesman/con artist who knows exactly what to say to hook new clients.

I really hope that SunPower realizes what an amazing employee they have. He was very kind and profesional throughout the whole process. He was able to fix the mess the previous "technician" made. There was no way my system would have functioned if it wasn't for Warren. Once he was done, he took the time to explain how my system worked and how I could see my data. We truly need more Warren's.

The company is in bankruptcy since the…

The company is in bankruptcy since the first week of this month and my system shuts off at the same time. The people in customer service don't know what to do. I wait for answer of what is happening with the installation and someone to fixed for the entire month. The worst part is that they are charge me the bill and they say that I must to pay. Basically the system worked for two weeks only and I paid to them almost $600 plus I paid to Edison another $500. Nobody is responding and nobody is responsible. Is the worst service ever

Wow where to start

Wow where to start. We selected them after interviewing several. We selected them based on several factors. What we failed to see was how poorly they are organized. This was over a year ago by the way. They would send a crew out to do part of the job, but that crew would not know what the other crew was doing. I felt like I was their project manager. There was a lot of miscommunications between these groups. Some groups were poorly trained and other had to come behind them and fix their work due to it failing some sort of quality check. I was told by some of the employees that they just grab people off the street. Anyway- lots of issues and it did not work properly. It took 6 months after installation and 6 different groups of people to come out and fix it to get it to work. I have a clay roof. They broke some tiles. I asked for a final check on broken tiles, and they ghosted me. I guess that is my problem now. When I saw the bankruptcy notice, it was not a surprise. I would strongly encourage you to do your research but there is no way I would recommend them. I would like to give them zero stars but I guess that is not an option.

Sun Power Continues to Ignore our Broken System

This public post is to inform Sunpower that we consider our lease contract broken by Sunpower for failure to repair our solar system and keeping it operational and for not paying the underperformance payout of your system for the past year.Since all email sent to billing is rejected (there is no other method to contact Sunpower by email or phone), please pass this on to the proper department within Sunpower.We will not be paying any further lease payments to Sunpower since we are owed a large sum of money under the performance guarantee that we are not being paid, and the fact that you told us that our system will not be repaired.Since Sunpower has broken the lease contract, please pick up your equipment within 90 days or the equipment will be considered abandoned.

My case # 02779828

Case # 02779828. My case has been going on for 2 years and 8 months. I have 4 Escalation Specialists and 5 appointments with workers. I lost 5 days with workers . Finally, it fixed and installed the new inverter on 5/28/24. My production guarantee for Year 10 = $195.84. Year 11 = $644.64. Year 12 = $641.44. TOTAL = $1,481.92. The Executive Escalations Specialist told me that when my account was due and paid to 0.00 ( zero ) , then she would release the checks. However, she did not release the checks. I called my bank and they said SunPower already deposited the check of $1,140.59 and cleared on 8/1/24.This case has been going on for over 2 years and 8 months so far. Sun Power robbed the money from a senior citizen, 75 years old man who lives alone and it is me. If I have to rate this company, I would give them 1/2 star. Now I am waiting for SunPower to credit to my lease account for $1,481.92 for Production Guarantee for 2 years and 8 months. I contacted Executive Escalations Specialist in Austin, TX and she said she would find another way to credit back my lease account. How long does it take? Stay away from this company at all costs. SunPower is not the only Solar Company in town. Now SunPower filed chapter 11 on Aug 5, 2024. They got away for not paying " Production Guarantee " for many lease customers.

Follow Up Review / Update

I wrote a review on May 21st detailing my system was out and it took 4 months to get it fixed meanwhile I was paying $188/month as a lease payment. The repair only lasted about a month and the system is down again. I've received emails from Renova that they are no longer working with SunPower so it's unknown who they can get now to service units. Reading online it looks like they may be going out of business (SunPower). Quite the mess. They have assigned me a case number and it's been 'escalated' but that means nothing. You can't get anyone on their mySunpower app. and you can't reach anyone on the phone.

Warren is the best!

I had the pleasure of having Warren replace my broken PV unit, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service! Warren was on time, professional, and exceptionally friendly. Just moved into a house with Sunpower…

Just moved into a house with Sunpower Solar Panels and I have no idea if it's working. The system has no wifi connectivity and I cannot use the Sunpower app. I called Sunpower who sent someone out installed something, did not get activated and now they are saying they need to come back. No further follow ups from them. I agree with the rest of the reviews, they are useless and now I know why they are going bankrupt. Go bankrupt and let another company takeover as soon as possible since you and your management team are completely useless.
