Others be warned…
I would have given a much higher rating for Taskrabbit, because the Tasker that I finally was able to come and perform my task of snow removal was really great. However, my first experience within the app, which was approx. between 6 and 8pm that Sunday listed a different tasker, whose rate was much cheaper and he indicated that he was available the next morning which did not leave me a 24 hour period if I had to cancel. Unfortunately, he responded about an hour or two later and said that he was not available upon the time listed on his page. Because the snow in my yard would have made it impossible for us to get out for a much needed medical procedure, he and I both agreed that I should cancel the task and use another tasker. I believe it to be very poor policy on the part of Taskrabbit to charge the customer’s card before you can get a response from the chosen tasker that they are indeed able to perform the task at the date and time that you request it. I really feel that I should have gotten a full refund because he did not accomplish the task, at no fault of my own. Because of this, I would not attempt to do business with you guys again, nor would I refer any one, because of your bad business practices. Very very disappointing, because when you have an emergency situation as I did, you’re at the mercy of your bad return policy, if you can’t get your task accomplished.

horrible system... Already written my experience. Charging POTENTIAL clients up front before they have even talk to the tasker is ridiculous.Where is the CONVENIENT BUTTON next to the tasker to show you don't want him so don't charge me?? One of the morons charged me a cancellation fee just because i selected him to talk to! Discarded him right away within 5 minutes of chatting... Won't be paying that cheat and liar!

Unreliable service and app. I booked for 3 hrs to shovel snow from disabled person's house. Gave detailed instructions w/ google satellite view. Guy did 1.5 hrs of work. Left snow in from of walkin garage door entrance. How is wheel chair going to enter house? Did not shovel deck. He just decided he did enough and left. Paid $130 for 1/2 job.

Beware of additional fees
There is an additional task rabbit fee that is not disclosed until the end of booking. It is an hourly fee that goes directly to task rabbit for “operational costs”. Why would I pay task rabbit an additional hourly rate??? Fees should just be one set amount and not depend on how long someone takes to complete job. What does the length of the task have to do with task rabbits operating costs?
