We were staying in Redditch and were looking online for places to eat and after spotting this place and reading the reviews we thought we'd give it a try and boy are we glad we did - probably the best carvery we've had.Good selection of meats, good selection of fresh veg and very tasty roast potatos.Staff were friendly and helpful, a good atmosphere although it was a little too warm in there.Will definitely return and certainly recommend.
This establishment is absolutely wonderful for a carvery and also an exciting menu. The staff are very friendly and professional and I definitely recommend Nicky...she is so lovely as are everyone who works there.
I took my elderly mother yesterday for a carvery at approx 1 pm . I had not booked but upon entering realised it was not that busy and tables vacant outside in the sunshine.I queued up with 2 others for service at the bar.Several bar and kitchen wondered in and out and through from the bar opposite .Admittedly they seemed focused on their task and made eye contact with us recognising there was a queue but completely ignored us. It may have been prudent to ask if we were being served or even “some one will be along shortly”but nothing!I cannot recall how long I waited as was not timing it but I feel it was long enough - I am not normally in impatient person but I have become rankled in old age with the service industry. Needless to say I collected my elderly mother with her walker and departed!Such a shame
Purchased a carvery at the Golden Goose in Redditch. Although I have to say staff are generally very friendly the lady who served the carvery was very rude. She only gave me a tiny bit of Gammon. When i asked if I could have a bit more she asked me "Which other meat shall I take of your plate? We are weighing the meat". The restaurant is a nice family place to go to and the carvery good value for money but the customer service on this occasion was disgraceful!
